The Crossroads

The Crossroads is a central location from which you can access most other parts of the site. This is where you can find shops, tasks for you wolves, and places to interact with other players. Each location has a token and a small description underneath it.

You can access the crossroads through the associated link at the top of the page.

Wolf Tasks

The Explore, Hunting, Herbalist, and Pup Training tokens are where your pack members can complete tasks for their roles and gain EXP.

Explore: Explore the biome map with your lead wolf, or send scouts out. During the Lunar Event, this is also where you can visit the Dreamlands.

Hunting: Create and manage hunting parties and send your parties out on hunts. In order to unlock this token, you must complete the related unique quest.

Herbalist: Send your herbalist foraging, craft recipes, diagnose illnesses, and heal wolves if you have the necessary medicines. You can also exchange herbs 3:1 at the bottom of the herbalist page.

Pup Training: Tutor your puppies in specific stats using Mentors and other wolf roles! It unlocks after your fifth rollover. Puppies can only be trained from the age of 2 1/2 months until 5 1/2 months. More information about pup training is available in the guide linked [here].

Shops

Personality Snake Token

The Raccoon Wares, Fertility Snake, and Personality Snake tokens are all official game shops where you can purchase, sell, or trade items.

Raccoon Wares: The largest shop currently available. Here, Raccoon will sell you useful items for everyday gameplay, as well as decors and backgrounds which change depending on which biome your pack is located in. In some weathers, decorations will appear in the shop that correspond to the weather.

You can also sell items to Raccoon Wares to earn Silver Cones. However, the raccoon has a limited amount of SC that he will give you every day, meaning you cannot sell more items than he can afford.

Fertility Snake: This shop helps you manage the fertilities of your wolves. For 20 SC, you can reveal the exact fertility percentage of one of your wolves. You can also purchase Pasque Flowers and Juniper Berries from this shop, which will either increase or decrease your wolf's fertility temporarily.

Personality Snake: This shop sells items which can be used to change your wolves' personalities. The Silver Cones options will change the personality to a random on in a certain disposition. The Gold Cone option will allow you to pick the specific personality you want. The Personality Snake can also assess your hunting parties for 50 SC, and tell you if the party's personalities are compatible.

The Custom Decor, Groups, Raffle Hub, and Trading Center tokens are all locations where you can trade and interact with other players.

Custom Decors: Here, you can find custom decors made and sold by other players. You can use custom filters to find decors perfect for what you're looking for. You can also manage your own custom decors on this page.

Groups: This is the central location for all player-created groups. Find and filter groups, create your own groups, and apply to join your favorites!

Raffle Hub: In the Raffle Hub, you can create your own raffles and enter raffles created by other players. Raffles could be of Wolvden wolves or items, as well as art. Entering a raffle means that you are offering items for the chance to win the raffle -- if you lose the raffle, you do not get your items back.

Trading Center: Create your own trades or find trades created by other players. You can search for specific items and wolves, manage your current trades, and watch trades you are interested in.

Questing

Questing Token
Questing token.
Enclave Token
Enclave token.

Questing is a useful way to make money and gain EXP.

Questing: The basic questing token is where you can find the questing snake, from whom you can take a variety of different kinds of quests.

Daily quests are available once per day and provide SC and EXP upon completion. Information about Daily Quests is available in our Questing guide, found [here].

The Questing page also has Unique Quests, which act as tutorials for certain mechanics in the game. Access to some mechanics is blocked until the corresponding unique quest is completed. You can review the unique quests that you have completed in Tala's Archive on the [Help] page.

Once you have fully scouted the three starter biomes, you will also be able to move your pack on the Questing page. Doing this will move your territory to a different biome and change many aspects of the game. Information on moving your pack and different biomes is available in [this guide].

The Enclave: In the Enclave, players can take puppy quests that reward SC. Three puppy quests are available each day and can grant a total of 75 SC. Additional Enclave information in available in [this guide].

Games & Entertainment

Games Token
Games token.
Wardrobe Token
Wardrobe token.

Games: The Games token will bring you to a variety of games that can be played for fun, or to gain some SC or items. There are four games currently available.

[Fishing] is a great way to earn SC and some food and amusement items for your pack. Detailed information about Fishing is available in our [Fishing guide].

The [Lottery] is available to enter once per day for a cost of 10 SC. There is one grand prize of 500 SC and five runner-ups who win 50 SC each. The Lottery is pulled at 00:45 Wolvden time every day.

You can play the [Slots] five times every hour for 10 SC each try. Your five tries reset every hour, on the hour, so it doesn't matter when you do your pulls. Slots are currently the only way to obtain breeding items like the Great Tit, Red Cock, and the three different kinds of sage.

The [Anthro Wardrobe] doesn't provide any benefit gameplay-wise, it's just there for fun! You can import one of your wolf's designs or create a new one from scratch to see what they would look like on an anthro wolf base. You can share and edit these images following the guidelines outlined in [this news post].

Wolf Wardrobe: The wardrobe allows you to view all possible wolf genetics, decors, and backgrounds, and create your own designs. You can randomize attributes by clicking the "Randomize" button. If you don't want a certain part of the design to be randomized, click the dice next to it to turn it off. After you're done, you can save the design using the unique URL generated at the bottom of the page.

Wolf Details

Scrying Stone Token
Scrying Stone token.
Gene's Hollow Token
Gene's Hollow token.

Scrying Stone: At the scrying stone, you can pay 10 SC to show four possible puppies that could result from a certain breeding. You must input the IDs of both the male wolf and the female wolf in order to use this feature. The Scrying Stone will not reveal if a wolf is a carrier of a genetic mutation. This must be done in Gene's Hollow.

Gene's Hollow: In Gene's Hollow, you can ask Gene the bat to test your wolves for genetic mutations. For 50 SC per mutation, or 150 SC for all three at once, Gene will tell you if your wolf is a carrier for the mutation. This means that they will be able to pass the mutation if they are bred with another carrier. More information about mutations is available in our genetics guide linked [here]. Gene can currently test for Albinism, Melanism, and Brachycephaly. Other mutations appear randomly and are not linked to genetics.

After a wolf has been gene tested, a Carrier Status Report will be available on their page, under the "Looks" section, which will detail their carrier status for each mutation.

Search & References

Search Token
Search token.
Leaderboards Token
Leaderboards token.
Item Catalogue Token
Item Catalogue token.

Search: The Search feature allows you to search for specific members or wolves. When searching for wolves, you can narrow down the search using filters for stats, markings, ages, and more.

Leaderboards: This page displays a variety of different leaderboards for stats, tasks, and player achievements. You can toggle the "No Heritage Wolves" view to see leaderboards containing only wolves with no heritage.

Item Catalogue: This catalogue contains every item in the gain and, in some cases, how you can get them. Items are sorted into categories to help you easily find what you're looking for.

Site Commerce

Wolvden is based strongly around its currency, shops, and commerce. This includes both commerce directly with the site, as well as between players!

Currency

There are two primary types of currency on Wolvden: Silver Cones, the common currency obtained through normal gameplay, and Gold Cones, the "premium currency" which you can purchase with real money.

To check how much currency you currently have, you can check the navigation bar at the top of the page.

Clicking on these currency values will bring you to your Currency Log, where you can keep track of transactions and view your event currency even while the event isn't active.

Silver Cones
Silver Cones (SC) are the most common currency and are easily obtainable through normal gameplay.

SC is used to complete most typical game functions, such as:

  • Purchasing the first 51 territory slots
  • Reclaiming wolves you have left your pack
  • Diagnosing illnesses
  • Purchasing items from Raccoon Wares
  • Scrying breedings between wolves
  • Giving ultrasounds to wolves
  • Adopting puppies from the Enclave
  • Getting hunting parties evaluated by the Personality Snake
  • Purchasing items from the Personality Snake
  • Purchasing items from the Fertility Snake
  • Gene-testing wolves in Gene's Hollow
  • Interacting with some animals while exploring
  • Playing the Slots machine
  • Entering the daily Lottery
  • Reseting talents
  • Upgrading group member caps
  • Paying group fees
  • Buying custom decor
  • Sending stud requests
  • Buying trades from other players
  • Entering raffles
There are a variety of ways to obtain SC, but some of the easiest options are listed below.

  • Completing daily quests
  • Completing Melvin's missions
  • Completing Enclave quests
  • Occasional rollover rewards
  • Exploring
  • Winning battles
  • Playing the Slots machine
  • Turning in fish while fishing
  • Making your breeding male a public stud
  • Selling items to Raccoon Wares
  • Leaving pups at the Enclave
  • Trading with other players
Silver Cone Cap
While there is no cap on how many Silver Cones you can have, the amount you have affects income from exploring. If you have more the 5000 SC, whether readily-available or buried in your Hoard, you will no longer be able to receive from exploring.

Gold Cones
Gold Cones are Wolvden's premium currency.

GC are used for "luxury" features and are not necessarily required for general gameplay. Instead, they can help speed things up or give you some additional help. A list of purchases GC is used for is available below.

  • Purchasing items and services from the Grove
  • Buying custom decor
  • Trading with other players
  • Sending stud requests
  • Entering raffles
  • Buying territory slots 52 - 200
  • Buying immortal territory slots
  • Buying dynasty slots
  • Retiring your lead wolf early
  • Removing your breeding male early
  • Refreshing weekly stud slots
  • Speeding up biome move quests
  • Reseting talents more than once per week

GC cannot be obtained through normal gameplay.

If you do not want to spend real money to purchase it from the Grove, your only option is to obtain it from other players. Many players trade SC for GC in the Trading Center. You could also enter GC raffles or sell your own items, wolves, or services for GC.

There is no cap for how many GC you can have!

Exchanging SC and GC
You may run into a situation where you have too much of one currency, and need some of the other. Luckily, there's always players looking to exchange on the Trading Center.

Once on the Trading Center page, navigate to Search Trades, and then the Currency tab.

Enter the information about the currency you're looking for. If you're looking to exchange SC for GC, put 1 into the GC in Trade field. If you're looking to exchange GC for SC, put 1 into the GC Buyout field. Then, sort the search results using the Buyout column to sort by lowest buyout price to highest.

As of February 2023, the most common exchange rate of GC and SC average between 300 - 400 SC per one GC. This rate is very variable, so if you're looking for currency exchanges, make sure to check what the most up-to-date exchange rate is by searching the Trading Center.

Event Currency

In addition to basic site currency, there are also many event-exclusive currencies which are only usable during certain times of year.

You can view your current event currency any time on the Currency Log page.

Below is a list of all event currencies and their corresponding events.

Lunar Tears: Lunar EventMonthly
Smoky Quartz: CoigreachNovember
Cryptid Scales: CataclysmsAugust
Mysterious Effigies: The PyreHalloween

There is no official way to trade event currencies between other players. However, players have found workarounds.

Players may offer to sell a certain amount of event currency. The buyer will tell them which items they want from the event shop, totaling to the amount of currency they purchased, and the seller will send them these items rather than sending the currency itself.

Open this bundle to receive 2 - 3 random amusement items. This bundle will only provide common amusement items such as feathers, basic bones, and acorns.

Food Bundle
150 SC
Open this bundle to receive 2 - 3 Small-sized to Medium-sized carcasses. These carcasses will have 8 to 10 uses.

150 SC

Osha
500 SC

Decorations and Backgrounds
While some decorations and background available in Raccoon Wares are available all of the time, there are also some which depends on the biome your pack is located in. When you move your pack biome on the Questing page, the biome-exclusive items will switch out. Some items also only appear under certain weather conditions, times of day, or seasons.

You can view a list of all Raccoon Wares decorations here, and all Raccoon Wares backgrounds here.

Selling to the Raccoon
At the bottom of the Raccoon Wares page, you can sell your leftover items for some SC!

Every day, Raccoon only has a certain amount of SC to trade with. This means that you cannot sell more items than Raccoon can afford. Raccoon's SC stores will reset at rollover. The amount of SC that he has available to offer is completely random every day and does not seem to be affected by how many items you sell to him or how many items you buy from a shop on any given day.

Raccoon will not want items that have been used too much. You cannot sell items that do not have most of their uses left, and items with less uses will sell for less. Items with only a small percentage of their uses left may not be able to be sold to the Raccoon. The prices of items are not solely based on how many uses the item has -- rather, they are based on how rare the item is and how it is obtained. For example, trophy amusement items may sell for more than normal amusement items.

Some of the best items to sell to Raccoon Wares are Meat Chunks and other carcasses. Amusement items like feathers tend to not sell for as much. You can get Meat Chunks consistently by exploring and battling.

Fertility Snake
The Fertility Snake is a small shop you can find on the Crossroads page.

In addition to being able to tell you your female wolf's exact fertility for a small fee, the snake will also sell fertility items which allow you to temporarily increase or decrease your female wolf's fertility.

Juniper Berries
100 SC
Temporarily reduce your wolf's fertility by 10% until their next successful breeding.

Pasque Flower
100 SC
Temporarily reduce your wolf's fertility by 10% until their next successful breeding.

These fertility items must be used before a breeding. Their effects cannot cancel each out out, and they cannot be used to make a wolf's fertility greater than 100% or less than 1%.

Pasque Flowers also work on infertile wolves, and will allow you to breed them!

Personality Snake
The Personality Snake is another small shop that can be found on the Crossroads.

In addition to being able to check your hunting parties for any clashing personalities, you can also purchase personality changers here. These allow you to change a wolf's personality to a random one in a certain category, or a specific one of your choice.

Aggressive Personality Changer
100 SC

The Grove
https://www.wolvden.com/grove">The Grove is Wolvden's premium shop where you can purchase GC and items using GC. You can find a link to the Grove in the main navigation bar.

In the Grove, you can use purchase Gold Cones using real currency. There are five bundles available.

Besides being able to purchase GC, you can also use it to purchase premium goods and services.

Wolf Customiser
The Wolf Customiser is where you can create a brand new, custom wolf, or customise one of your current wolves.

The options available for use in the customiser are all basic or custom features. You will not be able to use any Tier 3 or Special bases, nor any event features or breed-only features. All markings available are either T0 or T1.

Customising a new wolf will add a brand new, fully custom wolf to your pack, exactly how you design them. You can only do so if you have a free adult wolf territory slot. The new wolf will be 1 year old, Level 1, with exactly 200 evenly-distributed stats.

Customising and existing wolf will completely wipe all of their previous looks, and replace them with the custom design of your choice. If you are customising a wolf with a mutation, the mutation will remain.

The base price for customising a wolf is 20 GC. The first marking you add is free, with each additional marking adding + 2 GC to the price. So, if you want a custom wolf with 10 markings, it will cost 38 GC.
Services and Features
Some services and features are available from the Grove which could help speed up gameplay a bit or change some aesthetic features of your account.

Feed All Play All
Tired of feeding and playing which each of your wolves individually? The Feed All Play All perk may be perfect for you.

For a GC fee, you can activate Feed All Play All (FAPA), with price increasing based on who long you would like to have it.

The feature is based on a subscription model. You can purchase 30 rollovers of FAPA for 10 GC, 180 rollovers for 60 GC, and 365 rollovers for 120 GC. After purchase, the feature it automatically enabled and cannot be disabled until your subscription period is over.

Once you have purchased FAPA, a new menu will appear near the bottom of your Den page, right below where you can create a new cave.

Caring for wolves using FAPA is not automatic. In order to use the feature, you must click the Feed or Play buttons in this menu. It's also important to note that FAPA still requires you to have a sufficient amount of food and amusement items. If you do not have enough items in the un-buried section of your Hoard, FAPA will not be able to care for all of your wolves fully.

On the right-hand side, you can select which wolves you want to feed or play. This is sorted by cave. You can feed or play with all of your wolves, or you can select just one specific cave of wolves to interact with.

After you've selected a cave, clicking the Feed or Play button will automatically take items from your Hoard and give them to needy wolves.

Feeding All will feed the wolves with the lowest hunger first, using the soonest rotting items first. Feed All will not feed your wolves actively rotting food, food which has a red background in your Hoard.

Like Feed All, Play All also plays with the lowest mood wolves first. Order-wise, it uses Amusement Scraps first and the lowest-use items first.

However, Play All also presents the player with a couple additional options. Opening the Play All menu, you will be able to choose to only use Amusement Scraps, exclude Acorns from the function, or both! This way, you won't have to worry about burying any important items you may not want to lose.

Auto-Nesting
If you consistently forget to nest your wolves, or you just don't want to worry about forgetting, Auto-Nesting may be a good investment for you! This tool can be purchased from the [Grove] and operates on a subscription-based system, meaning that you have to renew the tool every month or few months if you would like to keep using it.

The auto-nesting artwork.

Auto-Nesting will automatically nest your wolves during the rollover that they give birth. With Auto-Nesting, wolves can be nested even while they are completing tasks, unlike with normal nesting. This means that you can send your wolves out to complete their tasks and then log off for the night, and rest assured that your pregnant wolves will be properly nested when you check in on them after rollover.

Auto-nesting still requires that you have a Nesting Material in your hoard. If you do not have any Nesting Materials in your hoard on the rollover that one of your wolves gives birth, they will not be nested by auto-nesting. As long as you have a good stock of Nesting Materials, your pregnant wolves will never suffer complications with birth while Auto-Nesting is enabled.

Pup Stages
Have you noticed that some players' puppies look a bit different from yours? You can add some extra visuals to your pup's development through the Pup Stages addition!

This is purchasable for 50 GC from the Grove. After it's purchased, it's permanent, and will be applied to all of your puppies. Note that this only affects pups in your pack, not other packs that you view.

The purchase comes with two additional life stages: newborn and young. These are purely visual and do not add anything mechanic-wise to your game.

Rename Pack
You can rename your pack in the Grove for the price of 1 GC.

The name you choose has to be completely unique - two players cannot have the same pack name. The name also cannot be more than 25 characters long. This will not add "Pack" automatically at the end of the name, so make sure you add it yourself if you want it.
Special Items
Finally, like other shops, the Grove has many items that you're able to purchase. The primary difference is that each of these items costs GC rather than SC. As such, these items are completely supplemental and not necessary for gameplay. Instead, they can act as boosts to help speed things up or allow you to customize a wolf to your liking.

Player Interaction

One very prevalent feature of Wolvden gameplay is interaction between players. Trading with other players, purchasing items and services, and exchanging currency all help contribute to the social feel of the game. While you are welcome to play by yourself and work to achieve your goals on your own, getting some help from other players by purchasing wolves and selling your own items can help you advance much quicker.

Plus, selling your items to other players is often much more profitable than selling them to Raccoon Wares!

Trading Center

The Trading Center is the main hub for player-player transactions. Here, you'll be able to find every trade listed by other players, as well as create your own trade!

The main page of the Trading Center shows the most recently created or bumped trades. If you're looking for something specific, it's better to use the Search Trades tab instead. The trade search is broken down further into four categories: General, Wolves, Items, and Currency. You can use these specific searching to completely narrow down exactly what you're looking for!

If you're looking to create your own trade, you'll want to navigate to the Create a Trade tab. Here, you'll find lists of all of the items and wolves you have available to trade, and you'll be able to specify exactly what you want for them. You can only use items and currency which is not buried, and wolves cannot be secured, have roles, or be in pairbonds. Once you've made a trade, you'll be able to view it on the Manage Your Trades tab.

Raffle Hub

The raffle hub is another way to exchange between players, but with some added mechanics!

Unlike with trading, entering a raffle does not guarantee that you will receive the thing being offered. Instead, the winners of raffles are pulled randomly from the entrants, and only the winner(s) will get the prize.

Entering a raffle removes all of the items or currency that you used from your Hoard, and the only way you will be able to get it back again is if the host of the raffle cancels it. Raffles last between 2 days and 30 days after creation, after which they will either end and rewards prizes to winners, or be automatically canceled if requirements are not met. If the raffle finishes successfully and a winner is picked, the host of the raffle will receive every ticket entered in the raffle. Even if you lose, you will not get back the items or currency you used to enter. The only way to increase your chances of winning a raffle is to buy more tickets.

Creating a Raffle
You can create your own raffle from the Create a Raffle page.

As a raffle prize, you can enter a variety of possibilities. Up to 20 items can be selected, 20 currency bundles, and 20 wolves. Any wolf can be offered as a raffle prize providing they do not have a role, are not pregnant, are not pairbonded, are not nursing, are not training, and have a breeding cooldown of less than 16 rollovers.

If a wolf being offered as a raffle prize leaves the host's pack while the raffle is still going, the raffle will cancel automatically and all tickets will be returned to entrants.

There are also a lot of customization options you can use to make your raffle unique!

Two raffle modes, Standard and Winner-Takes-All, define who gets the prizes from your raffle. In Standard mode, one winner is assigned to each individual item, currency bundle, or wolf in the raffle. In Winner-Takes-All, one winner gets every prize.

You can decide when your raffle will end and assign requirements for ending the raffle, such as minimum participants or entries.

Finally, you can set any non-custom-decor item as a raffle ticket option, or add currency ticket options, and assign how many entries each ticket option will give the entrant.

Once a raffle is created, you as the raffle host are able to view information regarding your raffle straight on its page, including how many participants there are and the types of tickets entered into your raffle! You cannot see who specifically has entered your raffle. You can also cancel your raffle at any time, end your raffle early (so long as you have at least 5 unique participants or the same number of participants as unique prizes, whichever value is greater), and bump your raffle up to the top of the Recent Raffles page!  Upon your raffle ending, you will automatically receive all currency and items that were used as ticket entries for your raffle.

Custom Decor

Custom Decor is a way to add your own personal touch to your wolf. Through the use of a Custom Decor Creator, you can submit your own decor to be able to apply to your wolves and even sell to other players.

To browse all custom decors created by other players, you can visit the Custom Decor page.

You can filter custom decors by name, creator, tags, wolf stages, and variants, to find decors to use for your specific wolves! Custom decors can only be used on the specific stage they are made for. For example, if you buy a decor made for the Young Puppy stage, it will not show up on an adult wolf.

Every custom decor purchase requires at least 5 GC. Some custom decor creators present an additional SC option, if you prefer to pay partial with each currency.
