Gene Check is WAY too Expensive

Complete and full support.

I'm actually rather depressed over this at this time. Dropped little over a grand to check my favorites/top wolves only to find every one of them was 'with a small smile. Clear!' Sorry I'm out a lot of SC AND nothing came out of it. And to make it insulting, the way the bat is worded makes it out like it's a good thing that you've just dropped 2 days worth of work per wolf for nothin.(2 purely off of questing, 1 if you actually have the time to go and spend hour to get 100sc from fishing. Bless you if you do, certainly know my schedule doesnt allow it)

I support this 100% 

Instead of spending 750 sc to check the genes of 5 pups it could have easily been 250 sc to scy ! 

Im not hating, I do agree that it does prevent scamming and is much easier to figure out but the price is just crazy high not to mention we only get like 100-145 sc every daily quest. Sc is soo hard to get

And I also feel like sooo many carriers will decease the cost of albinos and Melas. Many people breed albinos and melas and sell them for currency which is how soo many breeders make a bunch of money. (not saying its a bad thing. Just saying the same thing will happen to melas and albinos in tc just like puppies )

Not only that but people will find pot and poss carriers worthless ! As someone who has been playing for a while I would buy pot carriers and raise them to see if they were carriers ! It was fun because I never knew what was gonna happen

I feel like the update just ruins the experience (No hate)

I have 84 potential carrier puppies, not including the grown scried carriers. That’s 12,600SC. I barely make 100SC a day. Lower the price, reverse the system, or just do something because I can’t afford this and it’s gonna wreck the market.

Adding to my earlier statement. 150sc is too much but the reoccurring comment as to why is simple. SC is too hard to get. Hell, I'm swimming in gc, it's so easy to get but struggle to get any leeway with sc. So maybe the solution isn't to lower the Gene cost but to make getting sc a bit easier. This would lessen the game's economy problems all around greatly

I agree there. SC is so much harder to get. Each encounter brings what... 3sc average? Then ~200 from questing and fishing. Maybe ~150 from raccoon. These are optional things too and I feel as if making players grind for that is going to be killer.

I planned to quit this game well before this update dropped, and if there was even a shred of doubt in my mind over that decision, this sealed the deal. Still wanted to show my support and "sign the petition" so to speak.
This is a terrible oversight of a larger problem (that being the market) that the team is refusing to even look at, nevermind fix. In a game where you buy your spot on the leaderboard because you have the money to spend, thus getting your name out there and becoming infinitely more popular and being able to sell your stud out like hotcakes, it's already difficult enough for us lowly peasants to get a foothold in the market. 
For most of us, our only shot at any real amount of wealth was boiled down to just sheer luck. Scrying NBWs, getting lucky, and starting a new line. This was already a tedious and expensive process at 60sc per wolf, but to raise it 150sc without the autonomy to even choose which mutation you're looking for? 
The rich of this game just get richer, while everyone else had their avenue of wealth pulled out from under them. 
Full support to make this feature cheaper, and to give players the ability to choose what Gene looks for.
I'm abandoning ship.

it honestly saddens me how the mods don't care about what the community wants 

My first few weeks of playing this game were stressful and hard. I honestly wanted to quit my first 2 weeks

Its stuff like this that makes the game hard for new players which is why many new players quit the game, because of currency, market, and territory slot problems

i love the bat feature but hate the way it was implemented. the market is kind of messed up right now and i’m not smart enough to be able to suggest any way to fix it, but uhhhh 9 pages of comments on this thread plus the bazillion comments on the news update suggests that maaaaaaybe this needs to be reworked somehow

In addition to my older comment, the barrier for entering the mutie market is now times and times higher. 95% of people won't be able to scry NBWs for mutations so there will barely be any new lines. And people with lower generation mutated Studs will just become more and more rich, while others will be stuck with undesirable carrier/mutant puppies that are inbred or have 10 miles long lineages that are impossible not to inbreed (which doesn't affect gameplay, but a lot of people prefer a NIB playstyle).

Basically the game is now even harder to get a decent foothold in for new players. And that's critical at the age when most games try to lower the entrance barrier since players are growing more impatient with this kind of stuff.
