Gene Check is WAY too Expensive

To those of you concerned about the new lines, there is already one breeding project I see trying to find a good solution to the prohibitive cost. It's Brachy specific but it's a cool idea.

I get that a lot of people are very angry and in the end maybe this will be bad for the market, but I don't think it's The End of Mutation Breeding which is how a lot of people seem to be framing it. If it really ends up being that bad, I imagine they will adjust the cost or change how the feature works. Gene's Hollow was a response to a problem; if it causes more problems I doubt they will shrug and go "oh well! Not our problem."

Like @Harvest, I think if we don't pay real money, we can't play.

I was barely making GC in the hope to get a T3 Stud or Mutated pup to sell, I was able to survive because my hunting team caught enough.

Now they catch nothing. No hunting success for the Snake = no daily Sc. I can't sell surplus = No Sc.  I can't feed them = Spend Sc

And now, 30-40 Sc scry by pups ==> 150 Sc ?  No Potential Carrier Check for me.

How will I make Sc or Gc without a T3 or Mutated/Carrier Stud ? Without High Stats ?

I hope the cost is lowered to 100 sc, that is much more reasonable.

Let's not disrespect the mods. First of all, the developers brought us a great feature and they refined the game that they made. Sure it's pricey, but you can't go about saying that the moderator team, which is still different from the developers, don't care. They do in fact, that's why this thread is still up. Let's please keep this as nice as possible and offer up complaints in a respectful manner. ♡

Full support.  150 SC is a TON of money in this game economy, where SC trickles in at a rate of as little as 1 at a time.

Either SC needs to be easier to earn, or this cost needs to be MUCH lower.  The second I saw this all I could think was that it was a really terrible change, and I'm not even commonly checking wolves for carrier or mutation status.

150 SC is a huge committment.

If the intended result was that no one checks their wolves for carrier status, I guess maybe you achieved it though.

I agree with Hollow, no need to attack the mods or even the devs. Let our voices (yes are typed words have voices I swear) be heard in a respectful manner. People always respond better when being spoken to respectfully. I know I personally wouldn't want to bother with anyone trash talking me, I'd walk away until they calmed down, can't reason with anyone in a rant. Only with a calm and level head can you work together and find an agreeable solution

This update has also decreased the value of GC tremendously. The cost of the bat needs to be slashed.

Holy Shit you're not kidding?! 40sc-60sc for 1 GC. The lowest I've ever seen was 67sc before today

As someone who finds it very hard to keep up with the always-changing market, I have resorted to scrying NBWs in hopes of coming across a carrier to sell for currency. I have scried probably around 50 since I started playing the game. Of that 50, only one was a scried carrier for any mutation. Now that I have to pay 15x the price I used to, I won't be able to afford looking for carriers anymore, and will have to find some other source of income because selling pups and trying to get enough food isn't gonna cut it for me. 

I can't afford to put real life money into this game, which leaves me having to rely on things such as luck to make it. But now, I need a lot of currency to even get lucky with NBWs. This just doesn't seem like a fair update for people who aren't wealthy players. It's only going to make the gap between wealthy players and non-wealthy players larger and make it harder for us to even try to keep up, and it's already difficult enough! 

If anything, can we please keep scrying as a way to check, and then once we can confirm for ourselves that a wolf is a carrier, we can then pay a higher price to "officially confirm" it?
