Gene Check is WAY too Expensive

Posted 2021-02-10 09:34:16

Support! I would love to check my pups if they are carriers without worrying about the sc because a lot of us are still grinding sc for territory. It doesn't make any sense to make it 150 sc. How do you expect us to grind to check for the wolves if they are mutation carriers and for territory at the same time? Yeah the games help a bit but only A BIT like 4% maximum. Come on, don't rickroll us next time, please.

Absolute support. Even if we were to mimic the prices you'd get for scrying all of the genes at once, you should at least be able to pick one, or all, and have it be 50 SC for each gene you're checking

I think for 3 checks the price is fine, instead they should add an option to only test for one type of mutation at a time!

I support this. I think Gene is overall an excellent feature, and helps to prevent scamming. I'm all for this!

However 150 SC is, in my opinion, much too steep. I think it will only help already wealthy players grow wealthier- they often have other players they work with for breeding projects, can afford larger dens, more pups, economies of scale will make it easier for them to test, breed, and sell more mutated pups, while affecting poorer or newer players more (to be clear-- I don't think the wealthier players are wrong for doing this at all! Just that it's unfair that this has made mut. breeding even more inaccessible to poorer players).

150SC is a lot to some players, and they won't be able to absorb that cost as easily, helping the few players who can afford it simply get wealthier while the players who can't afford the 150 SC (and not just one instance of it, but many, as no wolf you scry is a guaranteed carrier) and increase frustration in those players.

To be clear-- I've been playing since EA, have a bunch of savings stocked up, and personally can afford the cost. I have confirmed carriers and albinos already, and do not personally need the price cut. That doesn't mean I can't see that for many, many players, 150 SC is well out of their price range, and I believe it is unfair to them.

Full-on support

We don't need another SC sink at this time plenty of people already have a difficult time with territory and not only that we also have slots too as people play it to get the sages just to check 30 wolves that's 4,500SC roughly at the current GC:SC ratio that's 72-90GC like bruh not only that most if not all SC trades have been bought already which will affect the GC market which will make it dirt cheap...Again

Support! Although this could potentially help increase the value of mutation carriers, it's not worth it for people like me who scry NBWs on a daily basis. This might also increase the divide between well-known breeders who may have more than enough sc saved up to continue scrying, and smaller players who can barely afford doing it once per day.

Full support. I used to scry 10+ NBWs a day, that’s 1500SC now vs the 300SC scrying each wolf three times.
