Vampire Romance BatDoesStuff&WolfClaw (Rp sheet)

Aster chuckled as she walked to get all her duties done.  Some officials came to the palace a while later to talk tactics....again. " Hey. Just because you work underneath me doesn't mean you get to tell me what to do" Aster argued to her  first ever official she held under her power " yes your highness." the official said

Aster had no idea what Lazarus had planned, but she would take it like the princess she was. There was a chef on the first floor and getting things prepared for a meal.

" If there are crimes happening in that town, I want at least three guards down there at all times" Aster mentioned to her royal guard " you are in charge of that, right?" she asked " Good. get to it."

The guard nodded and walked out the door. Then aster looked back at her three officials " You may go" she said and waved her hand to let them off. But at long last, she finally got things finished and wondered what Laz was up to. " but I dont want to distract him, that would be really rude. She just went to her study and closed the door slightly incase someone wanted to come in. She sat down in the chair and  gave a huge sigh of relief " God... that was longer than I actually expected it to take." she said with her head in her hands.

Lazarus had managed to sneak into the kitchen and had immediately tried to see if he could just make something simple in return for possibly fresh eggs without them needing to pay for a bit or possibly paying outright. Luckily, saying it was for Aster must of maybe meant something as the took the egg option and it did seem like they didn't mind too much.

It took a while, as he made some sandwiches, cut some fruit up and put them into a container, and they even had let him make a small cake to go with it. It'd take a good while of not being able to sell the eggs they got, and maybe not too many egg breakfasts, but it'd be worth it if it possibly made Aster happy and make up for his usual hesitance and all the trouble that came from him not being exactly royalty worthy.

He had been able to keep it hidden for now as he moved to head back out of the kitchen and sneak towards where Aster's room was, trying to not look overly happy despite how hard it might end up being.

"Aster...? I thought you might still be working?" He asked as he entered, having been surprised that she was actually in the room. Had he taken that long to make the food? It would make sense, he didn't try to risk messing up anything or risking it tasting bad.

Aster looked up from her seat " Oh.. hi Laz.. yeah come on in. W-we need to talk... about us"

A tear fell from her eyes and she looked at  Lazarus " You know that I love you right, Laz?" she asked as she took the ring out of her pocket " if you say you love me like you have the first time... " take this now and never leave me. "

She took the ring and put it on his palm before closing it " I cant leave you, Laz. Even if my royalty gets in the w-way. I dont care you are a commoner. You have made me so happy these last few months."

She then stood up and kissed him " I love you" where he last words before eating the food he had made for her. The last thing she wanted to talk about with Laz was having kids... she wasnt ready for that. 

Lazarus frowned a bit as he saw her speak, moving to carefully set some stuff down, figuring he could explain most of that later when she wasn't seeming to be upset.

He moved to try and sit next to Aster, listening to her speak with a small frown of worry as it didn't seem like an overly easy one that they were going to have. He did take the ring as it was put into his hand, closing around it and softly feeling over it with his fingers.

He'd probably need to get it on a necklace chain, as otherwise he'd worry about losing it during yard work or one of the animals trying to pull it off and eat it. However, he didn't mention it out loud as it wasn't the right time to try and bring that up. Instead he just murmured back a soft 'I love you. It'll be okay.' and let her eat for a few moments

"I was thinking most of it could be saved for a picnic. The cake I made is still down there since I didn't think I should bring it up yet. I uh... guess it was actually wrong place wrong time for this." Lazarus murmured, trying to lighten the mood a little since he wasn't particularly aware there was more to it.

Aster looked up at the mention of a picnic, but then chuckled " So now you mention it, Laz" she said setting some of the food down " I love you you too, Laz. Now if you want, you handle the food, and I handle the blanket. Kay?"

The 'I love you' from Laz made her smile even when he took the ring. " Now don't loose that ring, okay? I  pain a fortune for that." she joked as she stood up to get a small blanket from one of the hidden doors. 

" I'll see you out there soon, Laz" Aster gave him one more kiss before leaving him to be there alone and to think straight.  Once Aster got outside and found the best place to have a picnic, she layed the blanket down and sat on it looking up at the sky, with her hands behind her head. 

Lazarus was a little surprised still with how she decided to still want to go do it, especially when she seemed to have been so worried, but he nodded in understanding. Maybe he could ask for some kitchen string as well, just to tie a temp necklace holder for the ring to not lose it.

"Alright, then, I'll be sure to keep it safe and get the food." He assured, moving to quickly give a kiss back before letting her go. It still felt a little wrong, as he was certain maybe a romantic meal included him setting it up, but hey this was close enough to hopefully count.

Soon he started to move to go to the kitchens and get the rest of the food as well before he could go out. Of course, Lazarus moved to check for the string and luckily the chefs said they didn't care since they had so much of it. With that all set in place, he began to move out of palace and look around for where exactly Aster had gone.

"Oh, there you are!" He chirped, moving to head over to where the blanket was once he found it, carefully setting the sandwiches, fruit, and cake down as gently as he could before sitting down next to her. "You alright there?" He asked lightly as he put one arm around her very gently.

Aster let him wrap an arm around her as gently as possible " Y-yeah. im fine Laz. " she said looking at him before giving out a huge sigh " I hope im not setting you up on actually being here with me being my suitor, Laz. I feel like I've pushed you into it. And to me, it seemed really rude. Of all the people at that festive many months ago.. I had to choose you....something attracted you to me. And I dont know what it was."

She looked away before speaking again " Being a royal has so many ups and down, so. I don't know how we as a ' couple' would work things out later in the years to come, Lazarus. Not that im wanting this relationship to break. I couldn't do that. I just don't know if I'm ready for the huge commitment my parents set up. Getting married is a  huge commitment and I'm at the point where I dont know if I want to get married. I tried once... but it just didnt work out. I tried  for a family at the age of one hundred fifteen...." she said breaking off her words. 

She was lost in thought for a while til she felt movement to her left and she  shook her head before eyeing the food " I guess we should just have the time to ourselves and then head off to bed, huh?" she said with a weak chuckle.

 Meanwhile in her head her mother was talking to her about the commitment of marriage and how she really was truly ready for how she saw her  daughter be around Lazarus a lot and how she calmed down every time he was close to her

It's ok, Aster. You are ready. Just let him make the choice, Not you.   Celeste said gently

Lazarus wasn't entirely convinced about that, but he frowned and looked rather confused as she started to talk about how she felt he pushed him, which maybe at the beginning of it yeah it was a little more pushy then he thought it should be, but at this point? He would of stopped it if he felt truly nothing and that was far from the case. He just... didn't always know how to show it properly. It wasn't something he dealt with before.

He frowned at the mention of her trying it out before, and even going for a family, but he figured maybe now wasn't the time to question about it until they solved out their biggest problems first. ".... I never actually did any of that before. I mean uh... k-kissing and relationship stuff, I... I just never bothered to care I guess." He explained softly, not sure if it'd clean anything up or not.

"I just.... I like the farm, I can't exactly lie. I'd be worried what happened to it, and I only ever raised animals, so I can't say I am going to be able to do any of the royal stuff or well. I can try, but I... don't know. That doesn't we can't try to fix it, I guess." He added on, but then just sighed after a bit as he wasn't sure what would comfort her fully.

After a bit, he decided to shift to pull her up onto his lap, resting his nose into the back of her shoulder. "How about some fruit and then some cake? Chocolate is pretty rare for my family, so I guess maybe I was a little biased in making it, but I hope it doesn't bug you?" He asked instead, hoping it wouldn't be such a bad idea to try and help distract her a little.

She let him pull her onto his lap and out his nose on her shoulder. " Y-yeah sure I guess so. " she said quietly. She was glad he was distracting her from what she just said to him " I get it, Laz. if you arent ready or dont want to have a family of your own.. ill respect your wishes no matter what."

She grabbed some fruit and leaned her head back against his neck " An no.. it doesn't bother me. Cake is a huge deal in the royal families now a days. So don't have to worry about that Laz."

As the sky began to darken,   the stars and  moon began to come out " The best part of  being out here at night time are the stars and shooting stars. I love watching the  sky transform like this"

Lazarus moved to rub a hand on her arm and just hoped that maybe it'd help a little more to assure her things were fine. If he was being honest, he didn't know about if he wanted kids, but that was a talk he could maybe bring up later as for now he did just want to possibly get a smile out of her.

"I'm glad at least, I hope it tastes good." He spoke softly, seeming to relax as he sliced up the cake to make a slice for both her and himself, just for when she wanted to have it.

"Yeah, it is nice I suppose. I always preferred dawn, it was something I love about getting up so early. The fresh due, the sunrise, animals grazing with a forest background. It's all so pretty. The night is pretty too, though, I get what you mean by it." He explained back in response, moving to kiss her forehead a bit softly.
