Aster sighed and leaned her head onto his shoulder and closed her eyes before the food was ready " I know its hard to memorize, Laz. but I know you can do it. And I prolly should go back to the palace ... maybe tomorrow... im just scared. I dont want to go back and face my father. But I gotta, dont I?"

She eyed Laz for the first time since coming over to the couch and smiled " ill  just wait it out... I might have to leave tonight though. So we better make our time together worth it."

After a while though the meal was set and placed on the table "  Come on.. lets eat before I have to leave." She said with a deep sigh and headed tot he kitchen " mmm.. smells lovely"

Lazarus wasn't entirely sure how right she was, but he perked up at her admitting she sooner or later would need to go back home. "Well, what about if I go with you still? Ma probably won't mind looking out for the animals and then we can take Lacey to ride back." He decided to try and offer, as he didn't want to risk her being too scared and he figured maybe it'd show his mom that he was serious about this.

Rosalyn had been quietly watching, but she sighed as she finished and started to get some bowls out for everyone alongside silverware. "Thank you. I always used to make this after long days. It's easy and is good for energy." She explained, moving to make a bowl and spoon before offering it over to Aster before making one for Lazarus right after.

Lazarus made sure to thank her before just handing her the bowl back and assuring she could go sit down, as he knew he could get his own food and she had made it so it was only fair she could go sit down and eat. 

Aster chuckled " I do need the energy. I'll tell you that much. And Laz... I would be happy to take you along to the Palace." she then looked over at Rosalyn and her expression. " D-dont worry. I'll bring him back, Rosalyn." 

The meal was quiet, but warming to Aster, made her feel a million times better. " Wow.. now that's what a meal should be like every day." Aster began as she stood up half hour later.  " I'm planning to head to the Palace maybe tonight, so Laz, you and I need to think of  what has to be done.. so come on.. time to plan."

She put the dish in the sink after rinsing it and headed to her room and waited for Lazarus. She was on the bed with maps and a book and paper in case something had to be written down for future reference.  

Lazarus smiled and gave a more reassuring one to his mother, having saw her nearly start to argue at that fact. With a sigh, she nodded and moved to sit down at the table, seeming to be internally debating everything she's seen so far as she ate. It made sense to him, she did have a lot to think about.

Lazarus happily enjoyed his meal, it just all reminding him of when he was little which made him just feel quite special, even if it was something so simple. As they finished, he perked up at Aster speaking and nodded, "It's something I missed a lot. We should go plan, though. I'll be there in a second, I promise." He assured, also putting his dish away before moving to talk with his mother just a little.

It didn't take too long, mainly him just assuring that he'd be alright and that she didn't need to worry about him while he's gone, as he was thinking nothing too bad would happen. Soon after, though, he moved to head to Aster's room, sending her a soft smile and moving to go sit on the edge of the bed while he looked over all the items in surprise.

"Honey.. dont be too surprised. you will have to read Vampirian too" Aster chuckled moving herself and the items over so he could sit beside her

" I know it seems like a lot, Laz, but it really isnt." She soothed to him " This is the land around my home in the palace"  Aster said pointing at the parts around the huge map that was in front of her " this is the palace and these are the villages  in front.. You, Laz... are right.... here" pointing tot he far end of the map where it was foresty. 

And here... is a small book that is written all in Vampirian. My native language. " she handed Lazarus the small book " May come in handy for you to learn one day."

They discussed about the trip back to the Palace and what to expect. Nearly four hours they talked about it. And Aster was really set on going back home, but not only that, but to grab the second book for Lazarus once he finished the first one. " When I give you that book, head back to your place, ok? And I will see you in a few days time. I have to explain a ton of things to Alarick."

Lazarus gave a nervous smile at that, but he hoped that with help it wouldn't be too hard to learn it even if he wasn't very sure how hard it was to learn a new language. He shifted a bit himself and just moved one hand to comfortably rest around her waist as he looked over the map and made note of the places she pointed out.

His gaze moved to the small book, and carefully he moved his free hand to take it and softly ran a finger over the cover, sighing a little bit before shifting to place it down nearby. "I will be sure to take good care of it. I don't know how much I'd be able to learn on my own, but I'll do my best regardless." He explained lightly with a smile before focusing on the task at hand.

It was forever to plan it out in his eyes, but he figured it was necessary and soon enough he could somewhat get what she was going for. "You know I can possibly stay right? Even if just for a bit? I mean it's half my fault for letting you stay instead of convincing you to go back the time you had planned to." He tried to offer still, as in Lazarus' eyes it was only fair he tried to help explain everything and not just leave immediately after getting the book.

Aster chuckled as he put one hand around her waist " I know you can stay a while over there... but there are only two rooms. So.. up to you if you want to stay in my room, sleep on the floor... or in my father room." She grinned at her suggestions. 

 Damn what am I thinking? him sleeping with me? No.. its not time for that Aster.. seriously.

 Aster then folded up the map " Before we go though.. I think we have a while to ourselves, dont we?" she smirked scooting to her side of the bed so he was on it as well. " All she wanted at this point was his attention and love. But didnt know what what would entail.  " c'mere" she winked at him and padded the empty spot beside her.

Lazarus chuckled a little awkwardly at that, "I mean, that seems fair maybe, though I can really just sleep on the floor, I don't mind it. I just need some pillows and blankets and I'd be fine maybe sleeping on the floor in your room." He assured, not really thinking too much as he figured they were not at all at the point where it'd be considered too appropriate to do any other option, and well he was reasonably intimidated by the king.

"I suppose we do." He hummed out happily before shifting to look towards her as she padded the spot next to her and even added a wink. Blush did dart across his cheeks, but still he moved to be a bit closer and again had decided putting an arm around her would hopefully be fine.

"You still alright? I mean, you just seemed rather scared of heading back to the palace." Lazarus asked softly just to try and see if there was someway that he could help.

Aster snuggled into him " I- I'll be fine. I promise. And yeah.. I guess the floor is better than nothing." Aster mumbled. But she saw the blush and chuckled " And I hope you arent scared of me wanting you more than normal." she chuckled resting her head on his chest. " My father can be very intimidating when it comes to bringing a guy home....but he has got to get over that now. If he hasnt, too bad. because you just might be living in the palace one day."

she eyed his before wrapping her arms aorund him and kissed him.  " Hes gonna have to get used to me doing this in front of him too" she  smirked " he hates it... but hes gonna deal with it when we get there. "

They spend a few hours more together before Aster told him it was time to head to the Palace. " hey... can we take your mare over there?" she asked  sitting up once more

Lazarus was surprised with how Aster moved to snuggle into him, but he didn't at all complain and just lightly rubbed over her back in an affectionate manner as he listened to her. "It's not scary. I just get nervous when new stuff happens, it isn't always because I'm uncomfortable." He explained lightly, though he perked up at the mention of him possibly living at the palace one day. That... wasn't something he actually had thought about, but he didn't want to dwell on it either. It was a future talk.

"I still would have to get used to it. I can't say I ever imagined meeting the king let alone having to kiss his daughter." He decided to try and lightly joke, nuzzling the top of her head softly before just resting his head on hers for a while to enjoy the moment.

"Hm? Oh, sure, Aster. I don't know if Lacey will like it immediately, but she'll relax with me riding her. I am her favorite person." Lazarus assured Aster, offering a smile as he knew that the mare would be able to carry them both. If it was an extraordinarily long way, he'd be worried, but to just go to the palace he doubted it would do any harm.
