Event tweak

@ Werewolf!

Great you can do that I also had a college classmate that took biology, was a single mom, and was learning English. Could I ever do that? No, but I respect her for it. Just because one is able to adjust doesn't mean others can. Again the amount of essence is capped there is an energy bar and the event is only a week long. People have to study I have a head injury. I'm glad you are able to adjust your times not everyone can and it really is a small tweak that hurts no one but benefits everyone 😌

To everyone else thank you for your support it is greatly appreciated 😊

As long as we’re not messing with the daily limit/cap, and it’s not going to lessen tear gathering for those of us accustomed to the current setup(less available during WD Nighttime to provide more for Daytimers), and it’s just universal for everyone, I suppose I Support, then.

It spent me from 12pm to 3am collecting 75 lunar essence and that's me with every time when it is day. I've been taking a break from uni because of my health, so even me being an active player now I still get nowhere. It's not really fair if you compare the hours in a day that you are busy, because not everyone may have it like you or are even have heavier days than you, and people who don't have the whole day busy where they can choose to whether or not they want to be an active player.

There's a difference between working hard to get the reward vs when the game makes it hard for you to work hard on. Being an active player lately I still don't get rewarded for it, I managed to get 500LT from the start of the event to now in order to get the base, I still get up to the 100 essence cap WHEN i stay up into early hours of the day. It seems even active players find it hard to get essence because depending on your RNG and luck, you don't get anywhere.

This isn't a competition of who has the most hours of being busy than the other. My point still stands.

 @Werewolf!

Thank you for your support all this would do is just allow you to collect essence anytime day or night as long as your wolf is not actively in the dream scape. The essence cap would still be a thing just allows for players to grind for essence whenever they are available to log in.

@Trolljan

I can't work but I know how hard that can be and commend you on trying to collect essence the best you can. I understand your frustration which is why I had to say something one of my friends play this game and comes home exhausted she doesn't want to play anymore because she feels like it's a chore. I just hope fun can be injected back in and just reduce some of the stress some of us already have enough be it work, school, life, or mental health. I feel like having one stay up late can be incredibly harmful to one's health over time as well so that just adds another reason why collecting essence day or night should be available :) appreciate you taking time to add your perspective😊

Support! I play a lot in between calls at my call center job and sometimes day will finally come only for me to get a really long call and that just shoots through the whole day cycle and I'm stuck at night with no essence again.

Essence already has a cap to how much can be collected in a day, I don't see a reason to also limit its collection by the day/night cycle.

Support! This idea is nice because I always seem to hop on at night whenever I go to collect essence. I can see what some others are saying about adjusting your play time, but I don’t really want to schedule my life around Wolvden and sometimes I simply don’t have the time to spare. Also that this could have a negative effects for daytimers which I don’t really understand?

Like many others have said this event is a week long. I am NOT suggesting getting rid of the 100 essence cap, that’d be anarchy, but I do think not being able to gather essence at night makes the event more challenging than it needs to be.

To be frank I never understood in the first place why you couldn’t get essence at night. You’d think there’d be more essence to gather since the moon’s out and all.

About players being only active in certain day phase is only an extreme case. What I wanted to refer there is that players have chaotic schedule whether they spend majority of time playing in-game days or nights depends on what they might be mostly missing when participating in the event. Those who play more in-game days than nights, usually don't have time to spend lunar essence. Every explore in Dreamlands requires clicking green or red button. Those people need some energy during the night to fight enemies to obtain more lunar tears. And vice versa, those who play more in-game nights than days have similar problem that you describe: they don't have enough essence to explore Dreamlands.

The key is to balance play between odd and even hours to collect essence during the day and spend them during the night. The devs intentionally set purposes for particular day phases when introducing the event. Thinking about players who might find collecting essence problematic, they set daily essence income that players constantly get for rolling over.

If your idea was implemented, the day would lose its purpose: only the night would have the purpose during the event - to convert the essence into lunar tears. It means that further lunar events would lose balance between each other because seasons would have the meaning whether the event is easier or harder for players. How? Winter has thrice longer nights than summer. The event during winter would be much easier due to wider range of time to gather lunar tears and players who get used to that long time of gathering tears would raise complaints in summer because of how little time they have to collect lunar tears after collecting the essence all the time.

Also, casual players who save up LT throughout the events to buy an applicator in lunar shoppe to sell for a few hundreds of GC in the TC - the price would have to drop because of elevated supply - more players would be able to buy applicators from the shoppe so very little income would come out for all of them. Some would be unlucky to buy during the winter when the apps are much easier to obtain than during the summer. Also, some thinking about higher profit would have to wait 4 months to buy apps when the event takes place during the summer as these would be the most difficult to obtain.

Support.

Currently, players that are mostly on during nighttime (by coincidence or because those moments happen to line up with their free time) are locked out of gathering LE, and therefore converting it to LT. Whereas players that are mostly online during daytime (again, by coincidence or because those moments happen to line up with their free time) are able to gather plenty of LE, maybe even able to hit the cap, but are not able to convert it to LT. Of course, this is the extreme. Often, one will catch mostly nighttime with one or two moments of day thrown in, or the reverse.

In practice, this favours players that are lucky enough to hit more daytime than nighttime: if they have been able to gather LE, they only need one small chance at nighttime to be able to spam click through encounters and thus redeem at least part of their daily cap of LE, if not all. Nighttimers on the other hand, will at most have found a very small handful of LE in their lucky few daytime moments (plus the daily 25), and overall will be able to redeem less.

I like this suggestion, because it allows all players to gather LE regardless of what moments in the day they are able to log in, and removes the element of luck or bad luck in one's schedule lining up with the day/night cycle. The cap is still there for everyone, but filling it becomes less tricky and less depend on players being able to work WD into their daily schedule.

The current system slightly favours people who are able to log on during game daytime, whereas this proposed change slightly favours players who are able to log on during nighttime (for the purpose of redeeming the LE found), while making it generally easier for players with less time to be on WD to manage. I don't find that difference significant enough to make the change undesirable. Suiting more playstyles is always a win!

@Dzanek

I would like to agree to disagree you fear the price for the goods is going to drop but it won't its still supply and demand I've been grinding this hard core and by the end I will barely have enough to buy the base alone.  Secondly no like I said unlike having to collect essence throughout the day one needs to only hit that night time once and click that button to ground their essence away and earn LT. It's okay to disagree but from my perspective my idea makes sense and other players who are grinders feel the same way.  It's okay to disagree but I'm still going to push for this as it benefits players those who are stressed,  busy,  work,  have school,  etc. One player admitted they stay up extremely late just to collect essence and that is bad for one's health.  Again people still have to grind LE is capped at 100 and you have to grind for it.  It takes nothing from the other players and everyone can gain from it since they can just log in an and search for the essence.

I support this as well! Not only is essence limited by being collectable in specific times of the day, but it's also rng based. I had had times that I used up entire bars of energy during daytime and was able to find none or very little essence. This is extremely frustrating, especially when you are busy and can't explore every time it isn't night. Being able to find essence during nighttime as well will definitely lessen the frustration, at least in my perspective.
