Post-apocalyptic Strays - Caffeinated & WolfClaw [RP]

He felt his eyelids growing heavy, only because he was bored. Though he enjoyed watching the colors of the sky change as the sun began to rise. He remained laying on his belly, his hind legs sticking out and his head resting on the ground, sprawled out. He couldn't help but think about Jason, he thought about him a lot. What would he do in this situation? He groaned under his breath, stifling a grieving whine.

The soft whisper greeting made him lift his head and look over, ears twitching as Violet approached. As she spoke he blinked with a straight face.

"You're probably saving us in the long run," he admitted, heaving himself up to sit on his hind legs after he stretched out his lean body.

" Well. I want to do what I can.. I saved many lives back then. But I want to save you and the others. " She sighed as she looked at the sky with him " its so beautiful... but it wont be for long.. I fear a war of some time is coming and we need to be ready"

She glanced over at CJ before looking away " I want to do what is right and not something that may kill us all"

CJ gave a nod, "I understand." He paused to look at the sky again, though quickly returned his gaze to Violet after her prediction of war. He furrowed his brow, not really understanding what there was to have a war with. Superstition. He shrugged it off and listened to her next statement.

"We can re-group after we get to the apartment complex," he got up to his feet, "were the twins awake when you came up?" 

Vi chuckled " They were. Are you gonna go talk to them about the plan for the four of us? I just guess that if I am your best chance of survival, I might as well, stick to the three of you."

She then stood up as well and gave a wide whining yawn before going to her little corner and began to groom herself.

CJ almost took her comment personally, but he didn't say anything about it.

"Yeah, we'll be heading out soon, stay close." CJ stood and turned to scamper down the steps and to the train car. His nose wrinkled, the toxic scent was starting to get stronger.

"It's time to go girls, we'll get breakfast on the way, it won't be a long walk."

"I'm so excited! We're moving!" Georgia wagged her tail and bounced around, whining with excitement.

CJ, Maggie, and Georgia walked up to the street, waiting for Violet to join them before the began walking. 

Violet sighed and trotted alongside CJ as they moved to their new home" Ok guys, im your nose from here on out. that smell is getting stronger and  closer."

She looked around them in case something came to them 

"We can smell just fine," Maggie hissed, lifting a lip as she walked a bit aways from Violet and CJ. CJ and Georgia didn't say anything, until Georgia was distracted by some movement in her peripheral vision. She looked and slowed down while the trio kept moving, her head tilted. Her eyes spotted...

"A human! Guys! Guys! A little boy!" Georgia's tail wagged a mile a minute and she turned to advance towards the child who was also approaching her. CJ and Maggie looked, doubtful at first but once they saw the human boy their jaws dropped and their tails began to wag too. A sliver of hope. Georgia and the boy were mere feet apart and the boy reached out for Georgia, who closed the distance between them. The boy grabbed onto Georgia and leaned in, his small mouth open and a quiet, wet growl radiating from him. 

"GEORGIA!" CJ and Maggie barked, and Georgia was getting a bit freaked out when she pulled back and the boy wasn't letting go. Her tail tucked and she began to whimper, that was until he lurched forward and bit into her neck. Georgia erupted in panicked screams and she flailed to try to free herself. Her yelps began to attract tens, dozens, of other humans that reeked of the blood that CJ smelled at the state building.

"Georgia, no!!" Maggie whined, helpless, and CJ was stunned himself when he saw Jason come out from a dark ally. His human. Georgia's cries for help was like a beacon to the rest of the group of humans.

"Y-You guys.. g-go.." Georgia panted, growing exhausted and choking on her own blood. The herd of humans began to bite and rip at her skin and fur. Nothing could save her. 

Violet growled and ran towards her and the boy " CJ, Maggie, GO! I can handle this. I will tell you everything about me later! NOW GO!"

She then bit the oy that held Georgia and  tossed him to the side. Her protective side coming back " Georgia go with them now.. I can give you thee only a few minutes."

She then nuzzled Georgia and nipped her  away from her before focusing on the humans. " Oh so its us you want, is it? The only way to get to them, is to get through me first" she said  emitting a loud  sound from within her that the humans wouldn't be able to handle. The three would be just fine. But the question was how long would she last while she saved her little friends ?

Georgia was mangled, the "humans" had torn into her soft belly and she lied in a pool of her own blood. She whined when Violet came in to be a hero and she she whined when she was nipped at. She didn't understand why Violet was trying to save her. She couldn't get up and when she tried she felt her innards begin to shift in an attempt to spill our of her open stomach cavity. Georgia gasped for air, she looked at Maggie and CJ who stood, stunned still despite Violet's heroic demand.

"I love y-you g-guys, get to s-safet-ty w-while they're di-istrac--" Georgia's last words were cut off when one of the "humans" got around Violet and dug it's teeth into Georgia once again. She was gone.

CJ and Maggie watched the hoard surround Violet and Georgia. They were in complete shock. Maggie, knees trembling, turned to CJ and growled. It was one of fear, not anger. "Let's go, they're gone." The two turned and begin to run, hesitantly at first, but they went, and they didn't stop.

Violet would survive this but only just. She fought the "humans" before looking at Georgia one last tome before running off to find XCJ and Maggie.  They were ahead of her and Vi caught up to then covered in Georgia's blood " Keep going. I gave you just enough time to escape. But they will be back."
