Post-apocalyptic Strays - Caffeinated & WolfClaw [RP]

Wolfe sat there quietly and listened, maintaining eye contact until Violet looked away defeated. He gave a sigh of his own to empathize with the poodle.

"What happened with your friends isn't your fault," he said softly, "it sucks that it happened, but things just.. happen. It's how the world works." He looked away too, holding his eyes shut for a moment before returning his gaze to Violet, though he could only see the back of her head.

"But you know what? I'm not going anywhere," Wolfe said, leaning over and pressing his head against her cheek, nuzzling her gently, "I promise."

Violet closed her eyes and gently nuzzled him back. " I lost too many already. And I cant risk loosing you too" she didnt even know what she was saying, but it was very true in her eyes. She cared about Wolfe and she would do anything to keep him safe. " How can I ever repay you, wolfe? You came at the  time I needed someone most. Life is so complicated and I cant help but now look to you when I need comfort" Violet looked at him after looking away and  gave a tiny smile. " Now come on. Since I took you somewhere, you take me somewhere. Being here too long wont be good for my memories" 

"You don't have to," he said with an equally small smile, "just give me grace when I fail you or let you down." He gave a whine, knowing how imperfect he was no matter how hard he tried to be perfect. He wasn't going to be perfect for Violet. It was then his ears perked up at her request to go somewhere else. Wolfe was disappointed.

"I'm not from here, remember? If we were in DC I'd take you somewhere, but I don't know this city at all." He gave a chuckle. 

Violet barked " im such a silly" she said " i forgot you weren't from here. " she nuzzled his muzzle before heaving a long deep sigh " Alright come on.. I guess we can go somewhere else then still."
