Post-apocalyptic Strays - Caffeinated & WolfClaw [RP]

" I.. came from one of the houses back behind us. I left a while ago and just been on my own since .. " Violet said shyly. She didn't want to talk about what happened prior to her leaving. " I don't want to talk about it. I hurts me to even think about it. All I need right now is some food and a warm pace to lay down" She did wag her tail a little. She was feeling comfortable with CJ even though they just met. She wondered if they would become great friends in the future. She gave a  dog-like smile at the thought before returning to look ahead of her. 

He nodded, quick to bite his tongue.

"I understand, sorry for over stepping," he dipped his head and looked forward again. Soon they rounded a corner and went down a flight of stairs, where the temperature quickly dropped and it was quite relieving. They approached a train car that had been deteriorating. 

"Hey you two, up and at'em, we have company!" Cj barked, echoing in the cement around them. The first scotia trotted out of a train car, fur sticking up on her head.

"Oh! Ceej who's this?" Georgia yipped and hastily scampered up to the poodle, though respecting her space, "hi I'm Georgia!" 

" Names Violet" Violet said with a chuckle. She wasn't expecting someone so  yippy, but im sure she would get used to her " Nice place you go there" she teased , hoping it wouldn't set anyone off. She just wanted to get everyone warmed up to her. She began to set off  a warm atmosphere while standing there. " Not what I'm used to, of course, but that life is past me now and I have to move forward, aren't I right, CJ?" she looked at the male and gave a  little grin. " How did you and Georgia, find this place? " she asked CJ, knowing he was he first she met that day and felt more comfortable talking to him for the time being.

Georgia's tail wagged fast behind her and she laughed along with CJ at the comment Violet made about their home. CJ nodded towards Violet as her next comment was directed towards him.

"Couldn't agree more," he replied. Violet had no idea about how different his life is now that Jason is gone. He swallowed hard and cleared his throat, his ears twitching at her next question.

How could he answer this? He and Jason chased a fugitive down the stairs he led Violet down. He and Jason arrested the punk who planted a bomb in Central Park. Where he and Jason became heros of the city. CJ took a deep breath. Georgia didn't know that either.

"It's quiet, and the temperature is a bit more comfortable under ground," he shrugged with a smirk, "kind of cozy. We go scavenging for blankets and things to make it a little more comfortable." He nodded as he finished

" That's what I'm here for.  The coziness and food." Violet said with a chuckle. She saw how tense CJ was when she asked that one question, but she didn't want to make him worse " I didn't mean to upset you, CJ.. I just wanted to  talk and get something off my chest.. I'm sorry" she walked to him and nuzzled him gently before  stepping back  "  don't I get a tour or something?" she teased as she looked from CJ to  Georgia then back to CJ back again " I want to get to know this place a little bit more."

"Oh- I completely forgot that's why we came down here," he chuckled, quieting himself as Violet spoke again with apology. "No need to be sorry, I'm not mad," he said, not pulling away as she came in for a nuzzle. He was used to it, Georgia was like a pup.

"We have some leftover raccoon inside, come on I'll show ya!" Georgia bounced on her toes, lowering her torso in a playbow towards Violet before spinning around on her toes to head back into the train car. CJ began after Georgia, until a grumble was heard from the inside. He stopped and chuckled.

"God, you guys talk with bullhorns around here, don'cha?" A second scotia ambled out of a train car just as Georgia went in, grumpy radiating off of her.  

"Good morning sunshine," CJ snickered, "Vi this is Maggie, Georgia's sister."

"What, we're recruiting now?" Maggie arched a brow to CJ before moving her attention to the poodle. She forced a smile, "hi."

Violet blushed at CJ when he called her by her nickname. She followed him to where the left over racoon was and sat down looking at it. " Whats up with her?" She asked looking back up at CJ " if I came at a wrong time, I can.. er. come back another time."  She was worried she  arrived at the worst time possible. But she just couldnt leave  now. She was finally feeling at home and wanted to stay somewhere warm.

" I dont mind finding a different place for the night.. I just.." she stopped talking and just ate the leftover food before standing up and faced CJ " I feel like I came unannounced... you sure its ok for me to stay?" she gave a slight whine.

Maggie took it personally when the poodle didn't say hi in return. She stormed off, going up the stairs and out of the subway station, probably to hunt some more.

"Bah, don't worry about her, she's like that," CJ rolled his eyes and shook his head gently. They went into the train car and it was filled with pillows, blankets, towels, boxes. The scent of raccoon was still fresh. Georgia had gotten it out for Violet. The shepherd lied down on his belly and Georgia remained on her paws.

"I'll go after Maggie," she said to CJ before looking to Violet with a smile, "my sister's a little grumpy-pants, she'll warm up to you." She woofed before trotting out to leave CJ and Violet. CJ looked at the poodle.

"Violet--" his brows knitted together and he sat up, "yes, stay if you'd like, no one's going to force you if you don't want to. You're more than welcome, Mag is just.. weary of strangers that's all, trust me you don't want to know how we met." He chuckled under his breath.

Violet chuckled as she sat beside CJ and ate the racoon ." I hope Maggie will get used to me.. I am friendly and all.. I just dont show it much. I will just take one day at a time for now. And I hope I wont have to know.   "

After she finished eating, she wrapped herself on one of the blankets and fell asleep trying to stay warm. Which was hard for her. She was in unfamiliar territory and just wanted to be careful in case something happened later on. She was just happy that CJ and Georgia accepted her into the group. 

"She will," he reassured with a nod. CJ was thankful the raccoon was finished up, it'd probably save their skin in the long run. As Violet got ready for bed, he lied back down facing the door to keep watch. He wondered where the scotias went or if they'd be back soon. He decided not to worry about it and fell asleep himself, sure they'd be back in the morning.
