Post-apocalyptic Strays - Caffeinated & WolfClaw [RP]

"Alright then. We wont go anywhere. But im still going to go search more." Vi said walking off again " I wont be long. If you hear me howl come find me . " She then trotted off  and immediately the poison smell hit her noise, but she didnt feel faint. She kept moving forward bravely

" There has got to be something here that is causing that smell" she  said coughing

CJ assumed Violet didn't want him to go with her. His grown remained tight against his brow and he pursed his lips. Standing there waiting for her to return was painful almost. He shifted his weight on his paws. He wasn't really a superstitious or paranoid canine, but he was concerned about everything right now. He tried to process and wrap his head around it. He released an impatient growl under his breath while his ears swiveled towards the direction Violet went. He regretted not following after her. 

Violet went back to the the corner and sniffed the ground as she went deeper.  weird noises could be heard. and Vi was careful to watch her step. " hello? Anyone there?" she asked stopping at a dead end. 

She wished that CJ had followed but  his nose wouldnt handle the poison like she could 

Violets fur was on end. " I have got to turn back.. I cant go farther than this anyways"

She then trotted out from the corner and saw CJ standing there waiting for her " im so sorry, CJ.. I just had to check.. But there is something back there for sure.. something bad.. " she looked into his eyes before speaking again "  Time to head back to the train car and tell the others?"

His body was more tense than before, he was getting worried that Violet hadn't come back yet. It was then he decided to go after her, though he stopped in his tracks when he heard claws tapping against the flooring. CJ released a breath of relief when Violet returned and he listened to her words. He was too distracted by the scent that clung to her to respond until she posed a question to him.

"Yes," he nodded curtly and turned on his toes and begin to run, "it's getting late, hopefully they haven't gone to hunt."

Violet chuckled " Take it easy, CJ. Im fine. really" She passed him as they headed towards back to the train car. When she got there, she saw that the  other two where still there " Good. You two are still here. She then looked at CJ " want to fill them in ?"

On the contrary, CJ did not let Violet pass him on the way back to the station. He was glad to see Maggie and Georgia in their spots in the train car. They both looked at Violet, Maggie with a straight face and Georgia with a welcoming smile. Georgia's smile fell when Violet said what she did and looked to CJ. CJ inhaled.

"We have to relocate," he said.

"Why? Because Violet said so?" Maggie asked with a lifted lip, though she was reprimanded with a growl from CJ and she said nothing more.

"There's a toxic gas leak in the subway, and the Empire State Building is refuge for a potential predator. I'm going to take you three to an abandoned apartment complex across town, it'll be a safe enough distance from everything going on over here."

Georgia looked at Maggie who still sat emotionless, but Maggie knew CJ was wise and discerning, he knew the best thing to do. 

"When do we leave?" Georgia asked, "can we go now?"

"We need to get a full night's rest tonight," CJ answered, "I'll stand watch while you girls sleep."

" I dont need sleep, CJ.. " Vi said glaring at him. ut then looked away ashamed " Im sorry. I shouldnt have said that. "

She then went to her little corner and curled up wondering what the next morning would bring. Would there me a fight? would they encounter that creature that was in the poison area by the bench? Only time would tell

"Then don't, I don't care," CJ side-eyed Violet before she eventually moved to her spot in the train car. Maggie and Georgia didn't say anything out loud, only whispers among each other. With the silence within the females, CJ turned to walk up the stairs and out of the subway, standing guard so nothing would get past him.

Vi whined in her sleep. She feared for her life and the life of the others. Was she leading them into a trap or even a war? But only the next day would tell the truth. She woke up with a start and sat up looking around. CJ was still sitting guard " CJ?" She said whispering as she walked up to him " I.. Im sorry about earlier.. I didnt mean to snap back at you. I Just wish I did something differently. I.. I want to protect the three of you for whatever that thing is back there. But the truth is.. can I do that? I know I can smell the poison and not get affected, but you guys will get hurt if you even smell an tiny inch of it... I feel like...Im sending you to your deaths.. just because of me joining you"
