Post-apocalyptic Strays - Caffeinated & WolfClaw [RP]

He blinked tiredly, not sure how long he had slept for. He licked his lips after he finished what he could of the raccoon as he listened to Violet. He opened his jaws to respond to her vulnerability and honesty, but before he could Violet had lied down to sleep. He sighed gently, bummed he couldn't encourage her before she fell asleep. Wolfe was a bit sheepish when she lied next to him, but he knew purely it was to stay warm. He pondered for a moment, then simply rested his head on her shoulders, unable to keep his eyes open much longer. 

Violet huffed slightly in her sleep at his touch. It was gentle and kind. But she didnt wake up. She just layed there with a half eaten  raccoon carcass. She would just have to finish it in the morning.  And to her surprise she was the first one to wake up energized and awake " Another great morning" she said looking to the side and found Wolfe sleeping on her shoulder a little 

She chuckled and nuzzled him. not enough to wake him, but to let him know that she was still there.

Wolfe eventually stirred, shifting his weight a bit as he began to wake up. He was feeling quite lazy and perhaps he slept too long that he was still tired he didn't want to wake up. He felt Violet's little nuzzle and it was made aware to him that she was awake. Wolfe, man, quit being a lazy bum. 

"Mmm... good morning.." he said groggily and almost with grumpiness, but only because he wasn't a morning dog.

Morning sleepyhead"  Violet said " come on.. lets go do some morning rounds. Unless you wanna stay here in the train car and i can go" she said nudging his shoulder to try and wake him up.

Violet was a morning dog all the way. Always ready to go for long walks or patrol around. But today might be different, especially with Wolfe around. " Dont make me nip you awake'" Vi teased

Wolfe opened his eyes half-way and lifted a brow at her. She knew how he felt with her going out by herself.

"A few more minutes," he grumbled, shifting his weight again, but only to look back at her and bare his teeth, equally teasing her. "Nip me and I'll scream," he playfully growled for a moment before slowly sitting up and stretching out his front legs with a long groan.

Vi chuckled "is that a request, sleepyhead?" she teased baring her teeth playfully close to his muzzle " Alright.. a few more minutes but if your not us in those few minutes I swear ill nip you" she gave a hearty grin and then walked into the sun outside the train car and waited for him. She had all the patience in the world  for Wolfe. She had feelings for him that he didnt know about. But she wouldnt show them til the time was right.

Wolf sat and watched Violet walk out of the train car. He smirked and chuckled under his breath, finally building up enough will to get up off of his hinny and follow after her. With ears perked he entered the sunshine and he looked around, eyes squinty before he released another big yawn. 

"So.. morning rounds, huh?" He asked, making his way beside the poodle whilst looking at her.

Vi wasnt walking too fast. but at a pace that was comfortable to both of them. " yeah. I thought it would be nice to just walk i the sun, just us. We can hunt along the way if you want.im sure you're starving." she said  bumping her  nose into his shoulder before looking where she wanted to go " you are walking much better, I see" she said after a huge yawn " come on... I saw a good pace to stay outside 

She led him to the outskirts  of the building and looked at what was an abandoned  yard " I used to come here a long time ago. it was a play area for us pups." she chuckled as the memory flashed through her head.

He listened as she spoke, tiredly blinking but nonetheless interested in her idea. Just us? Hmm. He gave a chuff as he loped along beside her.

"I'm always hungry," he commented with a sneer, giving her a toothy grin as he was poked with her snoot, "yeah, it feels better, it was just a sprain." Wolfe gave a reassuring bob of his head and perked up at her invitation. His leisurely stroll turned into a jog as he obeyed, arriving at an abandoned area. At first Wolfe was confused as to why she brought him here, and still was even as she said what this place used to be. Wolfe looked at her, concern in his eyes. He searched her, trying to figure out what to say. 

"Was this place special to you?" He asked. 

Vi looked at him with longing eyes " It was. I played here for hours when I was a pup" she sat down on her haunches and sighed, looking into his eyes, not wanting to look away " I miss the friends I had here. But they are  long gone. So im all alone. But then i met  CJ and his friends. And they made me feel like family. And now.. I feel like I lost the two friends I ever known." a tear ran down her fur and she just looked away " What is there for me to live for now, Wolfe.. I.. im losing friends I care about because of the Freaks. And you are all I have left. "
