Post-apocalyptic Strays - Caffeinated & WolfClaw [RP]

" Thats what I do best, CJ. Ill be here beside you, no matter where we go" Vi said  winking at him "   You know the place better than I do, so you lead the way." she relaxed a little bit to show him she wasnt trying to rush him into the job.

He snickered under his breath and nodded, gesturing her to follow with his skull as he led her out of the subway station and up into the fresh air. He took a deep breath in and already his lungs were feeling refreshed, though his sinuses were a bit tight - for now the shepherd could still smell. He walked down the sidewalk.

"I was thinking the Empire State Building," he said, beginning down towards the pointed building, "I did a lot of bomb detecting and patrolling there."

"Where ever you want to go, ill be fine with that" Vi said  following close behind him. She never was by this part before, but hopefully everything was ok, and not filled with poison gas like the place by the bench. She promised herself  that she wouldnt go back to that place unless necessary. 

They arrived at the tall building that, similar to the subway cars, deteriorated and became discolored. The glass doors were broken off the hinges and there was blood on the floor. CJ remembered when this place was spotless and highend.

"Look around for any sign of danger," he instructed, "be safe." CJ dipped his head and went forward, sniffing around the corners and by the elevators.

Vi nodded and went to the dark area of the buildings where CJ wouldnt be able to reach. She  sniffed low to the ground, but found nothing. Yes. There was blood where she was as well, but it didnt bother her one bit. Being away from CJ was a problem though. Something could happen and she wouldnt be able to get his attention. So, she finished as fast as possible and headed back to him " Nope, all clear"

He sniffed around while jogging, it was how he practiced with Jason. Around the stairwell and by the receptionist desk.

"Clear," he said aloud just as Violet was coming towards him. He turned to walk towards her, "what do you think?" The only thing CJ was concerned about was the blood smeared on the floor... It didn't smell human.

Vi sniffed the blood " I saw more over by some cracks in the wall and  a huge area in the floor, CJ.. and no thats not human.. I know what human blood smells like... I.. this isnt good. Whatever this blood came from its dangerous and possibly able to kill us all ." Vi looked at him "  We need to move as soon as possible. We have at least a few days before they, whoever this blood belongs to come for us all" she said with a shaky voice.

"Hmmm..." CJ mulled everything over in his head. The train station was polluted, the building was, clearly, claimed by something else. He knew the police station collapsed when all the humans were in chaos.

"We could just find an empty apartment," he said with a shrug, "Ive always wanted to live on the top floor and have roof access." He breathed a chuckle, drifting off in a little day dream of Jason and him. He exhaled a sigh. 

" Then we need to move now" Vi said as she sensed that something was coming " She looked behind her and thought she saw movement " Cj.. get the others and get the to the new destination. I got to go look at something. I wont be far behind you"

Cj's smile fell, he thought they were having a good time until Violet's impatience rose up with her instruction close to follow. His knees then locked and his brow furrowed.

"I'm not going anywhere, you don't even know where we'll be," he objected with a growl, flicking his ears forward. Fur stood on his back as he listened to his surroundings.
