Post-apocalyptic Strays - Caffeinated & WolfClaw [RP]

With the disappearance of Violet, Wolfe thought it would be best to continue his journey. It seemed like he caused a lot of disgruntlement here in the city. He walked on, and it began to ran. He wasn't particularly fond of the rain, but now he didn't care. On his way out of the city, a low howl made him stop and look. It was Violet's, but did she want him there? He was ready to continue forward and ignore the howl thinking it was in her best interest, but movement caught his attention. A freak was scrambling towards the howl. Wolfe growled and spun on his toes, running towards it. From behind, he pounced on its back and the momentum made the skull crack open. Wolfe cringed and he hopped off the carcass. Gross. He perked up at the howl and continued towards it. 

Violet was surrounded by the freaks " Wolfe.... help....please" she howled She was against the wall and looked scared. she glared at the freaks and tried to scare them off but every time she tried to move, they grabbed her fur. She managed to just barely get  through the group of them when she finally spotted him " Wolfe!!"

He began to hustle, the sense of urgency calling him to run faster. Violet's howls were just attracting more and more. This wasn't good. He saw the mob crowded in a cluster. He assumed that's where Violet was. Nothing was going to get their attention away from her. But suddenly he saw a blur of black come out from between their legs.

"Go, keep running! I'll distract them!" Wolfe barked with a growl, veering towards the group and colliding into their legs with his body. Some fell, some had their knees broken, some tried to grab onto his wirey fur. Fortunately, with his size, he did quite a bit of damage. He circled around and with a chorus of high pitched barks he turned to lead the freaks else where, so Violet could escape.

Violet just ran. Anywhere she could go. She would thank Wolfe later.  I need to keep my mouth shut  she told herself as she turned a corner and stopped to take a breather. She went off to go hunt for something since she was getting hungry. Not only did she get herself some food, she  got something for Wolfe as well. She just hoped he would come by where she was and soon. She didnt like to be alone.

Wolfe eventually lost the herd, they got distracted by something else. Unfortunately he had twisted an ankle in the process of disorienting them. He hobbled back to where he saw Violet last, sniffing the ground to follow her scent, and hopefully he'd find her soon.

Violet waited for Wolfe patiently. Her slight whining the only thing that was guiding him to her " Wolfe come on....please"

Slowly but surely he rounded the corner, following her whimpers. He returned one of his own. 

"Are you alright?" he asked, a bit out of breath. He held a forepaw up off the ground as he rolled to a stop in front of the poodle. He was exhausted.

" Yeah. I think so. Are you ok.. you seem totally out of breathe there, Wolfe. The freaks didnt get you did they?" she asked looking around to make sure he wasnt hurt. " Come on I found a place for now.. Its the old place CJ, Maggie and  Georgia had before I came along. "

Wolfe shook his head back and forth in certainty. "No," he answered, "I lost them on the opposite side of town." He perked his ears towards her next statement and he nodded. "Why did they leave?" He asked as he followed Violet with a limp.

Violet " i still dont know that" she said looking at him " oh Wolfe you're limping.. come on lean on me. Its not far to the train car" she walked beside him  slowly and led him to the old train car." There's warm beds and blankets. Just what we all need "

The memory of CJ mad her sad, but  she had Wolfe to take care of now. " thats it, come on"
