Post-apocalyptic Strays - Caffeinated & WolfClaw [RP]

Wolfe's ears flattened at the scene. He stayed back and only came forward if he was asked to. It didn't look good, he got a pit in his stomach. Maggie looked fast at the exclamation from the doorway. She spun around and couldn't decide whether to snarl at Violet or cry to her. 

"He got bit!" The toller snapped, hackles rising and her teeth bare, but a whimper crawling from her throat, "he got bit.. saving me." The confession nearly choked Maggie, she stayed on the other side of the room. CJ's ears swiveled around towards Violet's voice and eventually he turned his head ever so slightly to look up at her. He had a gaping bite wound on his lower back, it oozed but it stopped bleeding.

"Vi.. Vi you s-should g-go," CJ hacked, coughing on his own blood.

" so you're telling me the freaks got to him saving you?" Vi asked  confused " Why would you two go out there when its safe here?" she looked at CJ's wound then looked into his eyes " Don't you dare die on me, CJ. Be strong..please" she begged him as she nuzzled him

But she then stepped back at CJ order " Well. alright.. come on Wolfe... I guess we have to go find a place away from these freaks.. if we can..." she said with a sigh as she walked to Wolfe " lets ..go" a tear fell from her eyes as she walked away. She looked back once more at Maggie and CJ " Stay with him Maggie. bark if you need us, ok?" 

Then she walked back down the stairs slowly in her own thoughts

"We didn't want to hide and be cooped up like caged animals," said Maggie, she paused before she exposed the real reason, "we needed water." Maggie kept her distance from Violet and CJ.

A long whine was emitted from CJ, "I.. " was all CJ could manage to get out before Violet walked away.

"So you're just going to leave us again?" Maggie lashed out with a snarl, "I don't know what to do!" She sat down, feeling defeated as Violet went off. Wolfe turned to follow Violet, but he didn't feel like it was right. He looked over his shoulder to make eye contact with the toller, who only lunged at him with ears pinned tight and teeth bare. 

Wolfe left the shepherd and toller with Violet and his ears remained against his head. He waited a moment before he said anything.

"Violet.. I know what you're feeling," he said empathetically, "but CJ has to be put down, he's in pain." Wolfe spoke gently and compassionately toward the poodle. There was no sugar-coating the reality of this.

" Hes gonna die anyways.. but  I cant be the one killing him... I cant dont it" Violet said stopping and turned around to face Wolfe " but if I have to.. then I will. "

she walked back to Maggie and CJ and loooked at CJ with tears in her eyes " I already lost  Maggie's sister.. and im gonna.. loose you, CJ.. "

She then looked at Maggie " No.. im sorry..I didnt know is all. The freaks are dangerous things.. but I wont have you die either Maggie. so you should come with me and Wolfe. We can find a better place, somewhere away from the Freaks"

The looked back at CJ and closed her eyes " I hate doing this, CJ.. Im..sorry" she shed a tear before going fot his neck and killing him. She the  stepped back and turned away not wanting to feel the guilt of not being with them when they needed her most.

"You don't have to be the one-" Wolfe persisted, standing in the way of Violet, but she got passed him anyways. He frowned at her and followed her back to the room with the two dogs in it. He hated that Violet blamed herself.

When Maggie saw Violet return, she growled defensively, but truly didn't have the energy to put up a fight with her. She lifted her ears at Violet's words and she scoffed, but before she, CJ, or Wolfe could say anything, Violet put an end to CJ's suffering. Wolfe hung his head, and Maggie's breathing quickened. She got up at hurried to CJ's side and sniffed at him.

"Y-You didn't let me say goodbye," she stated in monotone through tear-filled eyes of her own, but she didn't dare let one fall.

" Im sorry, Maggie. but Wolfe is right. We cant let him suffer like this." Vi said looking at the still body of CJ beside her

She nuzzled CJ's head before sighing " we can't stay here, Maggie. We have to go find a new place. you can either come with me and Wolfe or stay here." she then walked to Wolfe " you should prolly look for a place. "

"You could have waited five seconds," Maggie growled, "it wasn't your place to do that." She stewed, not sure what else to do or say to the poodle who was like a stranger to her. She glared daggers at the duo and snapped her jaws. "I would rather die with CJ than go with you two. He waltzed in and now you believe everything he tells you?"

Wolfe stood there greatly uncomfortable. He wished Violet didn't put down CJ, he wanted to do it so the females wouldn't have had to. But can't change it now. He exchanged glances between Violet and Maggie. He didn't offer any rebuttal to the toller. She had lost a very close friend and she was experiencing a lot of emotions. He let her take it out on him. 

Violet was upset for what she had done. " m sorry" was all she said and then just ran out of the building and outside to get some fresh air " I'm so stupid!" she growled at herself. She walked back to the corner where she first smelled the poison gas and just hung around there for hours. Thinking of what on this planet to do now. She hoped that Wolfe wouldnt see her like this because she  just wouldnt be able to handle a talking to. But she would let him come if he wanted to on his own time.

Wolfe began after Violet, but thought it'd be best to let her have her space for a minute. He looked at Maggie, and Maggie looked at him.

"Take care Maggie," Wolfe said, only to get a low growl in response from the toller. Wolfe turned and slowly began down the stairs and outside. He paused and looked around, wondering where Violet went. 

Violet was heading back towards the train car they used to have before CJ  got bit. Her head was low and tail down as well. " Everyone hates me now, because of this" She told herself. She whined as she headed into the train car and looked out in case Wolfe appeared. " Oh Wolfe.. what have I done" she  howled lightly.
