Post-apocalyptic Strays - Caffeinated & WolfClaw [RP]

Wolfe did as he was told and leaned on Violet as they walked, though he didn't use all of his weight of course. He hummed at her words, he just wanted to rest, he couldn't even remember the last time he slept through the night. He groaned, tired and weak.

"Come on over here." Vi said leading him to her spot in the train car " now you better rest. Those freaks tired you out more than they should have"

She layed down beside him but looked out in case something came to them

He was glad when they made it to the train car in the subway station. His knees were about to give out if he had to walk any longer. He settled down and began to groom his slightly swollen ankle. He grumbled.

"I'm fine, I just sprained my ankle in a pot hole," he snickered under his breath as he continued to lick at the joint.

" Im not going anywhere till you think you are able to move better" Vi said nuzzling him before looking back out in a protective manner. She was glad she had someone now after CJ passed. But it wouldn't be the same. She still didn't know Wolfe well and it just was different to be around another male. She would just have to take the friendship nice and easy. No matter what it took, she would be there for Wolfe.

"Thanks," he murres, stopping the licking only to rest his head on his paws. He smiled gently at the nuzzle before falling asleep to the sound of Violet's breathing.

Violet sighed in her sleep as they rested in the train car. Vi woke up every so often to check on Wolfe and to hunt for food. She came back a while later with two racoons in her jaw. She put one in front of Wolfe hoping he would accept it and eat. 

" You , my friend, need to eat" Vi said walking to the side of him and sat down with her racoon in her lap

In his sleep, Wolfe's nose twitched a bit at the scent of fresh blood. Thinking of the worst case scenerio, he jolted awake and sat up, only to see Violet with the raccoons in her mouth. He released a sigh of relief before stretching out his front legs, his joints popping in his shoulders. Fortunately his ankle felt better today.

"Thanks," he said in the middle of a big yawn, to which afterwards he dug into his breakfast.

" Im the one gong hunting, not you" Vi chuckled " How's that ankle feel anyways? " she  slowly ate hers, looking up to get conversations going every so often. She didnt feel like talking much  though. Ever since CJ died she didnt want to talk " When you feel a lot better.. do...do you wanna go out for a walk with me? Anywhere you wanna go" she looked at him with her dark brown eyes.

"It feels a lot better," he said in between mouthfulls. After scarfing the mammal down his ears perked towards Violet and he gave her a smile. "Of course," Wolfe answered with a little wag of his tail.

I kinda wanna  sleep a bit before we go out though. been tired for awhile and the freaks  back there didn't do me any good. Thanks for coming for me though. I tend to get into trouble when I should mess up. Its gonna be the death of me if that happens again" she said looking away " I just don't want anything to happen to anyone else. Especially you, Wolfe. I've suffered enough"

She went over to him and layed beside him to try and stay warm. His body heat was better than hers. " Wake me up if we need to move sooner than later" And with that she closed her eyes and fell into a deep sleep.
