After The Fall - Post Apoctaplyptic : 1V1 - cautious & Wolvenflame

She looked at him puzzled, clearly missing his offer in his words. “You want me to come?” She thought over his words once more, he sooner was trying to take them back as he walked out of the room. He did want me to come?  She pondered. People around her age, who spoke to her and did not flee or ignore her at her appearance. It may be nice. She rose, following him into the other room. 

“This may be hard for you to understand but you know I’ve lived here my whole life. This won’t be an easy choice to decide what stays and what is left” She looked around, things and treasures dotted the walls. She like her father was a collector. Most of this was his.

Justin looked to her at this, then to Shawn. Seemed he'd fallen asleep on the cot. "I understand more than you realize," he answered softly. "May have been an orphan most my life, but I still know the pain..." He looked about the room they were in, and then back to her. "Pack only what is precious and dear. Shawn? He has a bracelet his mother gave him and he won't let go of that stupid Bible. That was his father's." Him? All he had were his Nana's memories.... 

Fallon narrowed her eyes at the retort but did not say another word, she proceeded to a chest at the end of her bed, snapping the latch open she reached inside, feeling the wooly texture of clothes. She pulled out a stack and set it on the bed, lifting the corners of her shirt to pull it off she looked over at the boys. Shawn was slumped over sleeping, Justin was looking around the room. She caught his eye and raised her brows. "Divert them." She blinked before spinning away from him. She tugged the dirty red shirt off, pulling it over her head. She stood, in jeans and a pale blue sports bra, before picking up another shirt. This time pale green, she pulled it on and carried on with the things around her. She shoved a few shirts and a pair of pants into a large backpack, before layering it with some preserved food. She tucked the pockets with a few odds and ends, and finally came to a hook with a large leather jacket was hanging. She rubbed her hand on it before turning to look at Justin. "My fathers." 

A brow rose at her command. Goodness, couldn't she just go to a different room? He merely shook his head, and opted to stare out the window. He could hear her rustling around, but still did not return his gaze to what he'd been priory doing: assessing. If she was going to tag along, he needed to know what she was like based on the way her house was. A hoarder, for sure. He and Shawn? They packed light, taking only what was necessary. Shawn was book smart, Justin street smart. Both were useful in this world. What was she? He hoped to find out... And soon. At her next statement, he turned to see what she was talking about. Ah, the jacket... Wouldn't so much to help her stay warm. Then again, his trench coat didn't exactly work for that either... He had a fur coat underneath. "Then take it with you. More layers means you won't freeze easily." And with how big it was? She could pack on layers. 

She nodded, pulling the jacket off of the hook and setting it on top of the backpack she had sitting on her wooden chest. “I’ve got sweaters being warm won’t be an issue” Fallon looked around at the trinkets and such at the wall. She wouldn’t take it, but she would miss it. This home had been in her families home for years, her family was on these walls. But she had to leave. She pulled at her hair before proceeding to the bed, she sat on the side. “Shall we sleep?” She mumbled. 

He gave a nod at this. "You go get some rest. I'll be awake for a while, still." At least he was telling her. Justin didn't want sleep. He functioned quite well at a rate of three to four hours of sleep a day. Had too... He had to look out for Shawn. Had to keep him safe....

(Hmm.... Good question. Blizzards can go on for days at a time. Do we want to do a minor timeskip to where the blizzard ends?)
