After The Fall - Post Apoctaplyptic : 1V1 - cautious & Wolvenflame

(no worries i feel you... someone stole / sniped a trade of mine and is gaslighting me.... the mods dont think its serious and say it was my fault, yes it was but i dont deserve the gaslighting. They also blocked me when i dmed them and paid to sex change the pup, and is now going to chase out of spite... plus i worked.... so im going to enjoy relaxing and RPing.)

Fallon kept walking, the sounds of birds chirping had kept her interested in her surroundings. She cleared her throat and kept her eyes out before noticing the chirping had stopped and the birds had vanished. Curious, she let out a small whistle to see if the birds would call back. She stopped, feet slowly sinking into the moss as the plant settled under her weight. This was curious. She thought as nothing responded to her call. She picked an arrow off her back and quietly knocked it, allowing the weapon to be ready to fire.

She heard a crack in the underbrush, spinning around she drew the bow string bow back and aimed......

She'd find a hand gently lowering her arrow at this point, the man holding a finger to his lips. It'd be best if she kept quiet. Sure, it was there, where she pointed, but no need to aggravate the animal there. It was going to be horrible if they choose to strike it. The monster was, from what he'd seen, a bear. Then, he spoke, softly. "Quiet... Follow me..." he remarked. It was time to move, before the winds shifted and it caught scent of them.... 

Justin made to move off, his steps oddly quiet in the forest. He'd done this for years, it seemed. The city was a war zone of its own. He then paused, looked back to the woman as he crouched there, low to the ground. If they didn't move now, and quickly... He didn't dare think about what could come. 

Fallon’s eyes widened as the man touched her arrow. She noticed his finger clasped over his lips, the international symbol for shut the fuck up. She gulped, slightly nervous. He was large, and built strong. He stood over her and could easily outmatch her had she put up a struggle. What do I do... he’s going to kill me. He’s going to kill me. Her mind raced as he crouched down. She spied a rifle hanging off his back and did what he requested. She sat down, hands trembling as she wrapped her arms around her legs. 

She watched the brush as a thick smell and loud sound emerged from the brush. The creature stuck his massive head and snout out from the brush, nostrils flared in irritation but not aggression. A large grizzly bear peered into the brush, eyes struggling to pick up on the figures just feet away from him. Their eyes were not good to start, but after the disasters animals all seemed different, easily irritated, struggling just like them. The animal kept on walking, thumping past on massive feet to disappear past them into the brush.

A sigh of relief was given at that. Justin, once certain the animal had passed, stood himself up. He then looked to the woman, and began to move off. He paused, however, and looked back to her. "Maybe don't go out of town on your own next time," came the grunt. "You'd have been dead had he seen you. And he would have, before you saw him...." With that, the man moved along. Yes, he could easily overpower and kill her, but he was not like that. He refused to be like the monsters that had murdered his Nana... Refused to stoop so low. He heaved a vexed sigh, and soon began to head back to his hiding spot. He knew Shawn was smart. Wouldn't show himself without the signs given. Question was, what would Fallon do? He'd just shown himself to her... So much for looking for supplies. 

“You have got to be fuxking kidding me” She rose her voice slightly, irritated by his cocky attitude and smug remarks. “I don’t know who the hell you are or why you are here but remember buddy I have survived here just as long as you. Do you think I’ve never seen a bear before?” She snorted with disgust as he walked away from her. That attitude infuriated her, irritated her and made her blood boil. She had been hardly around other people and this MAN was not going to tell her how to exist when she had been fine on her own. She survived just as well as he had, and it irritated her that he treated her like a common child.

”You would do well taking you and your companion out of here. You think I’m so stupid I didn’t know you followed me? That I’m too stupid to notice you walking back in the direction of someone else? Come on.” She laughed out loud, throwing her hands down in frustration. I can’t believe he has the balls to talk to me this way. Thinking he saved my life.

Justin paused then, once again, and soon turned to look at her. The dead look in his eyes... What had he all seen? "You want to know what I think? That you're dull. I was never following you until you came into the forest. Think you know so much about this big, bad world? Get out of your house and go explore a bit more. Now, let's get one thing straight.... Threaten me all ya like. Won't work. I come and go as I please, and I don't miss my shots. Could have killed you if I wanted when I saw ya. Could kill anyone I wanted if I saw them. But I don't. Talk to me like you're on a high horse again, and next time? I won't come."

He turned, and moved off once more. "People," he muttered darkly under his breath. "Take what you say one way. No wonder I travel alone..." Couldn't give away he did have Shawn. Snipers, after all, had hide outs. For all she knew? She was wrong about him being with someone. 

Fallon laughed, throwing her hands up in the air, he clearly wasnt getting it. "Where did i ask you to come at all? I dont even know you." She raised her brows as he threatened her. "You are no better then anyone else in this world, and you need to do no more then move the hell along. You dont want to be around people? Then dont travel to other towns." Her voice was cut with frustration and she balled her fists. How dare he insult her and treat her this way, DULL? He has the audacity to call ME dull? She grumbled in her head before starting after him, walking about 5 feet or so behind him in silence. He wanted to act high and mighty? Well i guess he could deal with her, she knew he had a companion with him, he wouldnt be so pressed to leave. If he had nothing to get back too why would he be so adamant on leaving. 

Justin paused at this, he soon turned towards her to face her. Those eyes of his were piercing, cold... "I got no problem with people in this world. Like you said, everyone's gotta survive, right? But you so much as dare to keep following me, I've no problems taking it out on ya. Bow your only weapon?" He'd was clearly, sizing her up now. Never underestimated an opponent yet. She likely had a hidden weapon if she was smart.... However, he was soon tense, looking around. Nervous. He knew the feeling of the weather by now. But... Here? Why here? A scowl appeared, and he turned to run. Blizzard... And they weren't nice. Deadly, in fact. He had to get back to Shawn before it came swooping in. The storms weren't normal, natural, anymore. The radioactive elements turned it deadly. Rain? Hah! Nope. Acid rain. Think it's a minor earth quake? Nope. Expect a big one. Volcano gonna blow? Expect chaos, more than normal. He had to get to his baby brother. Had to keep him safe. 

Fallon looked at the clouds blowing over and instantly picked up the signs of a massive storm coming. “Shit” She reached out and grabbed the man’s sleeve as he turned “don’t fucking lie to me or they will die” She met his icy glare with cool crisp green eyes, her expression was deadly serious. “Where is your companion, we need cover now. Most of the outbuildings are not safe and have no supplies you will freeze to death” Her voice cracked in desperation as she felt the air change and saw the beginning of snow freckles fall from the sky. “We need to get them now.”

Justin tore his arm from her, the look upon his face full of deadly menace. "You stay out of it. I can watch after myself. Been living in the big cities most my life. Do what you like. I know what I'm needing to do. Want to follow? Then keep up." He soon tore off after Shawn. He knew what buildings to look for. Acid rain was deadly, too. They had always had to avoid that. That stuff burned if it hit you, and no amount of clothing kept you safe. Not for long, anyways. And if the weather didn't get you, the mutated animals would. "Best hurry along!" he called back to Fallon. Shawn... Where was Shawn...? Still in the tree? He knew all the signs of bad weather, too, so it was likely he had climbed down already to move. 

He just had to.... There! Took several minutes, but there he was. Justin immediately snagged up the pack, grabbed his arm and ran off into the town. Not his idea of entering, but they had little choice. The winds were picking up now... And the snowfall was heavier. He'd seen her house. Was it a safe bet to go there...? Hoped she didn't mind the company.
