Fallon grumbled to herself as he ripped his arm away. She turned her lightly freckled nose up and snorted as he took off, of course im going to follow, hes going to get  himself killed. She rolled her eyes and started of after him, His words annoyed her, he was so defensive and aggressive no wonder nobody wanted to be around him. Im not some little girl in need of saving, what does he have a god complex or something? She groaned as they approached a smaller boy and their supply pack. The older man grabbed him practically dragging along. Fallon met the smaller boys gaze as he looked back, a wave of sympathy fell over her for the two.

Brothers? She inquired to herself before focusing on where to go, she picked up the pace and got infront of the boys, pointing to the direction of her small home. her door was tightly shut, and she gave a good shove to get inside. The door groaned and the heavy wood swung slowly open, she slipped inside and waved for them to follow before slamming it shut, and forcing down a massive 2x6 piece of wood into two slots to keep the door locked. She looked at them both before shrugging and saying "Well, coffee?" She let out her breath slowly, feeling the cabin getting colder she bent over to start splitting kindling to get her fire stoked back up. "Were not like the city here, we haven't had thieves or looters in atleast two years. Those who come here seek refuge and tranquility. Not violence." She made sure to make eye contact with the older of the boys, before softening her voice and directing it to the younger one. "Are you hungry? I have some canned apples from my tree."

Justin was half tempted to kick the door in for her, but held himself back. Once inside, he checked to make sure that Shawn was alright. The bundled furs betrayed him. Once they came off, it showed just how scrappy he was. He was a few inches shorter than his brother, shaggy hair, and seemed to small for his clothes. Still, he was older than he looked. He glanced towards Fallon warily before glancing to his older brother, who merely shrugged. After a moment, he spoke.

"I-I'm f-fine, th-thanks for a-asking." He had plenty of food, and a stutter it seemed. Still, he clutched tightly to him that worn, leather Bible.

Justin, after a moment, took to looking about the house. His boots made some decent thuds against the floor, and he glanced back to Fallon. Seemed he finally spoke again.

"City has all kinds of problems. Been living there since we were kids. Orphans, both of us. Raised him since he was three. I was... What? Five? Six at the time?" He shrugged his shoulders. "Gangs, violence, weather, rabid animals... Mutated ones, too. We dealt with it all... Ain't no such thing as peace. Not for long anyways."

She looked at him, kicking her boots off before sitting on the floor beside the fire, starting to place and stack kindling up in the pit over the warm coals. They danced and licked at the dry wood and as she blew they popped up into tiny flames, licking hungrier then before.

“That’s where you are wrong” she looked at him, remembering the fateful day when her father was killed, months later her mother being killed by the same raiders. “I lost everything to other people, you can always have peace. And find peace somewhere.” She dipped her head down to study the flames once more. “You never told me why you are here anyways.” She picked at her thumb awaiting his response.

"Does it matter? Just passing through. No place to really stay for long. Be it the animals, weather or people, they always chase you out. Like I said, doesn't last long. Never has."

He stood by the window now, watching the winds whip through the town. It blew the snow through the trees and buildings. Some of them looked ready to fall down. He frowned, looked towards Shawn. Seemed he'd moved off to his own corner. Poor kid was so scared of... Well, everything. It was sad to see..... Justin then glanced towards the woman, another frown given.

"Listen... We don't plan to stay long. Just until the blizzard passes... Thanks, for... Taking us in.."

Fallon shrugged and stood up from the fire. She arched her back and stretched her arms above her head before walking over to the shelf covered in jars of handmade canned products and tin cans of scavenged beans, soup and more. “I don’t have a lot” she motioned to her dwindling stores. “But this blizzard is going to be a while, and we may as well eat.” She eyed him before palming a few cans of what was likely soup. “I’m cooking it anyways. You don’t have to eat if you don’t want too.”

"Suit yourself. Can't tell you what to do." Justin merely stood there at the window, staring outside. He didn't dare let people in. Shawn had been the only one, and that was due to the fact they had similar circumstances. Both orphaned at early ages. Both traumatic pasts... Not that he'd tell this person. He didn't even know her name! Ugh, but he'd never given his either. Well, crap. Sighing softly, he rubbed the back of his neck, glanced towards Fallon. He then looked to his little brother, and then back outside. Boring... This was extremely boring.... Ugh. What did he do now...? Didn't want to pick up his hobby. He was still far to wary of Fallon to let his guard down even an inch.

She rolled her eyes at the comment but continued to empty the soup cans into a pot before putting it on the fire to boil. She watched the older boy, he infuriated her but he also has some level of sadness, it made her feel empathy again. With the world the way it was, it was hard to feel anything towards other people. She hadn’t had anyone in her home since her parents, and it was well over a year since they had passed now. She turned her attention to a stack of woven blankets, picking one up and looking at him. “Here. You may as well settle in for a bit. I don’t have a lot to do, and nobody will be out in this weather trust me.” She tossed the blanket in his direction before moving to the side of the room with her bed in it. She sat down on the corner. “I have a cot under here as well if you two wanted to sleep.”

Shawn seemed rather grateful for the blanket, truth be told. Justin, on the other hand, glanced at it and politely declined. He'd always run hotter than most folks, even in colder weather. Wasn't quite sure why, but he did. Still, he stood there, at the window. Staring. Made him miss home. Seattle winters, before he'd been forced to leave, had been, to him, a thing of beauty. As for sleeping? He'd take the floor so that Shawn could have the cot. He didn't mind. Not one bit if or meant his brother was comfortable, he was happy which, he seemed to be a little bit more with each passing moment, Thabo fully. Still.... "Y'can call me Justice," Justin finally spoke. "That's Shawn."

"Fallon" She nodded at him, Justice... Shawn. She thought to herself, their names playing over in her head. It had been a while since someone had introduced themselves to her. She slid the cot out from under the bed with her food, bending down to pick it up so she could bring it over to where Shawn was sat. She laid it out, and tossed another blanket ontop of it. "If you need anything else, let me know." She smiled at Shawn and directed her gaze up to Justice. "Soup should be almost done, do you mind?" She pointed at the pot before rummaging around a wooden crate for pillows.

Justin blinked at this, he looking towards the pot. A brow rose at this. What, was she expecting him to cook all of a sudden or something? A roll of the eyes was given, but he moved to help. Didn't seem to say much more, to be honest. Nor did Shawn, aside from his stuttered thanks. He hadn't had a bed in a while, so the cot was gladly accepted. He didn't mind watching the pair, either. It was interesting, to say the least. This was something he didn't see often, Justin interacting with people. It was mildly amusing, actually.
