How many Cryptid Scales have you collected so far?

Sitting at 564 right now but honestly my experience with this event has been filled with frustration and sadness. The WD economy is slow and difficult at best, so with quests asking users for HEAPS of very valuable and limited resources in addition to SC to just move to another quest...is painful to say the least.

All to get rewards that we either have to choose to resell to regain our money loss, or use and start from the ground up again with a sense of feeling like the only way to make substantial progress financially is by buying GC with USD. Which in today's economy...isn't the easiest. I love the event and the items but man...WD makes me wonder if I actually enjoy playing sometimes lol Feels as though the only way to really enjoy it is by spending ungodly hours grinding or buying your way with USD.

But that's just my perspective, maybe I'm just not playing smart enough? Lol

1500 for me, unlucky quests for me these days, have to skip too many :(

#3176 I'm totally agree with you, it's really expensive! they took too many items, thats not easy to find. and also for killing/exploring quests you can spend all the day and don't find anything if you're unlucky... sooo it's very terrible event for new players who don't have that much of resourses to spend. Lunar event in this way is much better. I hope at least bases will not cost too much

Have 1088 now, after spending 100-ish. I've given up by now, doing stuff a lot slower. Just too draining to keep up the pace. Should be able to afford everything I want in the shop, so I'm not gonna waste my time lol.

Edit: Also yeah, second agree with Kaskade.

This is a very costly event, both in currency and valuable resources. Like you said also, it is NOT friendly to new players. A friend of mine on here barely has any CS at all cause its out of their wolvden budget, and unlike those more fortunate they cant just buy GC from the Grove to make it easier, and neither can I.
Its eaten up my healing salve savings and my SC savings to skip quests cause I dont have the energy or the resources. It is a new event, I understand that, but im hoping the next time it comes around its a lot more balanced and fair to accommodate newer players and others who have limited SC, time and resources

You're not alone Kaskade#3176, I agree too!

I took a quest asking for Large Leaves. I had a couple already because I always Inspect water, but since taking the quest I'm finding only 1 Leaf per energy bar. If I bought Guarana to keep exploring each Leaf would cost me 5GC. That's not sustainable.

I also quit fighting anything but an occasional Merged to do quests, otherwise I'd spend even more time on other websites while the energy replenishes.
