I play this and Lioden and I really enjoyed this one more, but it's too hard to get food and amusement items. I'm rolling in food on my Lioden account and all my lions are happy. But I have to genuinely struggle to get what I need in this game. Outside of using real money, I'm unable to feed my wolves or have anything to bring their moods up. It just isn't fun anymore. Am I playing wrong? I work a full time job and have things I need to do after work so I've been doing these as a side thing. Lioden works for it but when I'm playing this one, it definitely seems like I need to commit a lot of time if I want to just survive, not even thrive in it. Really sad about it actually.

Anyone know if that's normal? Is the game meant to be this difficult?

I'm not sure about Lioden as I've yet to try it out, but yeah early on in this game it can be pretty difficult to just survive in general and I've seen a lot of people give up due to rampant diseases through their den's or like in your case, cant procure enough food/amusement items for their wolves, especially if you don't have a lot of time to check in often for hunts.

So generally I feel it is a game you need to spend a lot of time on to survive, or at least until you eventually get some high stat hunters so that you can get an abundance of food.

As for tips that could help your survive if your struggling:

- Always try and explore with your lead wolf when you can, you can find amusement and food items while exploring.

- Always try and complete your daily quests, as its a good way of getting around 300 every day, and then you can either get lucky on the trading centre with a cheap food trade or buy 2 food bundles from the raccoon shop, which after checking out seem to actually give you a lot of food.

- Fishing can sometimes give you delicate meat and WILL give you a few silver cones for every fish caught, although I don't too much recommend this as you really don't get a lot and its kinda long.

- Always have 2 scouts (the max) in your den, and have them keep rescouting areas you've already scouted, doing this will always give you 2 amusement items

That's all i can think of for right now, but if you possibly want more tips or if you would like some food/amusement items to help you out then feel free to message me, as I'm normally well off in both so i don't mind helping you out :)

Hey~  Glad you're still here! This is a difficult game to get well established in at first. Thankfully there are several support threads run by players to keep you wolves at your door & despair far away.

Here's a short list:

Daily Quest Items Everything's free just ask for the item you need for your quest, someone will have it, then when you have something someone can't come up with to complete a quest you can send it to the struggling player.

Feed Wolvden's Food & Toy Bank Free food & amusements to keep your wolves from leaving at the next rollover. They have rules so they can help as many packs as possible; read those first so you know the format & how much/how often you can request help. When you're able donate food &/or amusements to help keep the stockpile up. They say they don't need donations, but every little bit helps players you many never meet.

Feed Wolvden's ER  Diseases can wipe out your wolves quickly when your Herbalist is learning their craft & you can't afford to buy meds or herbs on the Trading Center. It's free also. Then, when you can, donate herbs or meds.

Calendar of Lunar & Special Events This will help you plan for upcoming events. They're fun, but also a great way to gather Event items to sell on the TC for currency. A link on the first page takes you to a chart showing the Day/Night timings also. This helps you plan around RL activities so you know when it's Day so you can gather the Lunar Essence to use to explore the Dreamlands during the Night cycles on WD.

So you're not completely lost, there's an Event link in the News Bulletin before the event begins that explains things in much better detail.

Besides these links, there are a lot of regular players like me who are happy to help out with any questions you have, or sharing what we have to tide your pack over. Don't be shy ~ only our wolves bite.
