A Leader's Questions...

"No, I'm not very good at drawing..." Enlight spoke with indifference in her tone. They thought for a moment and continued, "Montane does, however. She's a brilliant painter. So much so that I gave her a role to reflect that. Montane, alongside the Lorekeeper, keeps track of what goes on in the pack through paintings." The wolf smiled slightly, thinking of all the paintings she had seen Montane create over the years. "I mean... If that answer counts, at least."

With a respectful dip of her head to the leader before her, they looked to find another lead. Noticing a wolf nearby, Enlight got their attention with a quick greeting and asked, "Do you and your wolves enjoy adorning yourselves with accessories? If so, what are the most popular decorations of choice, and do they hold any particular meaning?"

Vistula Ava'al had been pacing near Enlight, deep in thought about something, and was quite surprised when she was called over again. She came closer and warmly accepted the invitation.
"Thank you for the question," she bowed gracefully, "Yliaster, by and large, is known for our adornments, especially during the early reign of my father. However, since I took over, I have discouraged this. Life in the tundra is difficult and camouflage is now more important than ever, both for hunting and for pup survival. Accessories can be impractical and risk exposure. While I still allow them, myself and the Triad of my advisers are trying to ensure that accessories are appropriate for our kynfolk. As for the type of accessories and adornments, they're usually subtle warpaint - such as the one I have around my eyes - as well as feathers, pelts and antlers."

As she finished explaining, Vistula picked up the scent of another wolf listening nearby. Wanting to be inclusive, she asked,
"Hello! Let's chat about prey - which kind are your favourite? Do you prefer local prey or something more exotic?"

Dapple tries to think. "Everybody in the pack has their preferences. Achilles likes moose, Ocean is partial to… agouti, I think it was? Something rather exotic… And Scorch… isn't picky at all. A total glutton, that one, and a collector, too. She's kept every bone that she's gotten since she was brought into our pack." She laughs at the thought, and tries to think further. "As for me… hm. I'm not sure. I tend to eat what I can while I'm exploring, and I take the rest back. Perhaps… goose."

She nods to Vistula for her time, an apology and a thank-you in one, and trots off to another wolf nearby. "Ah, hello! Would you be willing to tell me about your adventures? What do you like to do? Where do you explore? I'm looking for a new place to visit, you see…" Her tail wags as she awaits an answer. 		lux

Elinoria hums softly at the she-wolf's question. She has been nearly everywhere; ever since their pack came to be, she has travelled far and wide, searching for the best place to settle down. "While my pack lives close to the mountains, I travel a lot," she replies, picking her words carefully. Elinoria has never really thought about her life as one of adventure; her most important goal is to ensure the pack's survival, after all. I guess I prefer exploring the taiga; there is always something new to find there, alas, the neighbouring packs often give me a bit of trouble," she hums, her lips tugging into a slight smirk. "Adventure-wise, I fear my answer will be disappointing; most of my exploration is centred around gathering useful items for my pack and ensuring that no danger comes to them from other territories. My brethren are warriors and while I am sure they can take care of themselves, I feel better if I get rid of possible harm before it can come close to our home," she bares her teeth in a slight grin.

Turning to look at the other gathered wolves, she thinks for a moment. "How did your pack come to be? Did you inherit it from your parents or did you form it alone?" Elinoria asks with a tilt of her head.

"Well.." Myrkri Light frowned slightly, thinking thoroughly about the question. "I don't think I was meant to be picked, but I was picked. I was very young still, and the pack had adopted me not very long ago. Our Queen at the time, unbeknownst to me, was very old and didn't have a daughter to heir to her throne. I have yet to figure out why she picked me, but I am doing my best to honor her decision and keep our tribe together." She nodded afterward, taking a moment to think.
"It was troublesome at first. I had no one to guide me and I had no clue what I was doing, but I've learned a lot now and have kept us from falling apart."

Seeing another stranger enter the group of leaders, alphas, kings, and queens, she turned and lifted her muzzle toward them.
"Do you have any traditions your pack follows?" She tilted her head upon asking. "Or is there any challenge or rules your pack upholds?"

Stormchaser sits down and taps her paw against the ground. "My pack is still fairly new. I've only been here for forty-seven rollovers, but I have established some rules, as well as traditions. Pups, pregnant wolves, and nursing wolves eat first. These wolves are and will raise the forthcoming of our pack, and must be healthy," she speaks. "We also make sure that no wolf is unhappy. Sometimes," Stormchaser giggles, "I'll take my best friend, and we'll go around making them laugh! Here's a joke: What do you call a lost wolf?" Storm almost bursts with laughter. "A where-wolf! Ha, but I digress."

Storm paws at the ground, trying to recollect herself. "Oh, yes, you asked about traditions! We don't have many, but, every twenty-five rollovers, we have a giant feast! We all go out to hunt, regardless of role, and try to bring back as much food as we can! We dance, sing, howl, and have a great time. We even invite other packs! Maybe, you would like to come? It's only in three rollovers," Stormchaser woofs and wags her tail.

What could that be? Stormchaser ponders. The rumble of woofs, wags, whines flood the place around her. She spots another wolf, eagerly looking around the place.

"Hi! I'm Stormchaser. Nice to meet you! If you don't mind me asking, What made you be the leader you are today? Was there anyone who sparked your villain origin story, or were you with your fun, ragtag bunch of friends, who stuck with you every pawstep of the way?

Shuichi would jump at the seemingly sudden appearance of the other canid, before stammering out a few sentences. "Well- I only follow the voice of the Founder... I don't exactly make most decisions in my pack, The Founder does. I don't think I would survive without it... I've been telling my Heir how to properly take care of his pack so that voice never leaves him. It left me once and I almost went mad... I'd rather not let that happen to my replacement."

The old-looking wolf turned, seemingly muttering to himself. He turned back to Storm, panicked. "I-I'm afraid I can't talk for long... The founder is growing restless."

He'd get up, and trot over to another wolf, and speaking timidly. "I-I'm sorry, do you have a moment? Uhm... How do you get rid of any excess members of your pack?I'm sorry if it's an odd question-.." Shuichi sat, flattening his ears.

Queen Vistula Ava'al sat still for a moment, seeming to completely ignore the question as she gazed intently into the distance and not acknowledging Shuichi. Then she shook her head, as if to shake off the thoughts that were weighing down her mind.

"I apologise for my rudeness," she bowed her head at the wolf and spoke warmly, "thank you for the question... I do not "get rid" of anyone, as such. Anyone old enough is free to leave if they are unhappy. Yliaster is a very organised pack (or at least, it used to be...) there is no such thing as excess members. There is enough food to go around and our territory is expansive."

Vistula stood up and paced, looking around the area for the next wolf to ask the question that she was most concerned about.

"Hello there, may I ask you a question? Do you have any enemies? Those who seek to challenge your rule or otherwise threaten your pack?"

Nylah's face relaxed in a wolfish grin. "No enemies have found us thus far. We live in an enchanted forest in the middle of the tundra, and our scouts are reliable, able to cover many miles on swift paws. It's a bit lonely, our territory being this secluded actually."

Nylah turns to the next leader, her face more serious, but never losing her serene, collected demeanor. She looks up at the moon and sighs before addressing them. "We Seekers of the Luminara tribe pray to Zulae, the moon Goddess, or the Wolf who Holds the World in her Paws. To what, if any, deity does your pack give thanks to?"

Shuichi perked up, smiling. "We here give our very souls and breath to The Founder, who in turn takes care of us. It's a thing my father made up, or at least I think... Nowadays I don't feel like I have much free will. Back when I was younger my father yammered on and on about how we must praise the founder, but I thought it was ridiculous. And here I am, Following the voice my father told me about. But yes, We only follow the Founder."

"On another note, The lesser wolves must follow The Ultimates, who are deemed worthy by The Founder. They are named after uh... Danaganaropa characters? (ps. pained me to type that, it's spelled Danganronpa :3) Well- We have Maki, Kokichi, Kaito, And others including myself."

Shuichi turned and spoke to a wolf nearby. "How do you keep your pack together? We tend to use rituals, Though I'm fairly certain not every pack has done an Vyrrlos."
