A Leader's Questions...

Scathos glanced at the other wolves as he padded forward, bright orbs gleaming. Tilting his head as black brute came to a stop not far from the others. "There have been a few close calls, Thankfully Saja jas been there to help with the worst." He shrugs, " But if Etia wishes to take me then I shall not fight her."

Sitting down, and adopting a regal posture, the male turned his gaze to a nearby wolf. "What is the worst or strangest thing you've done in another pack's territory?" Scathos almost wished that he could ask every wolf here this, it would be a good way to get an idea of what kind of values each pack had.

I interuppted the next wolf. Instead, I answered. "I was a loner and scavenging through the Eastern Wolves territory. I met my mate, Eaux Froides there."

I turned my gaze to the wolf who was next to Scathos.

Ikari padded back to the group feeling quite bored outside this friend circle. The large gray wolf thought for a moment, than spoke "I would normally try to take as much food as possible, nowadays my pack is getting larger and larger, so we must take as much food as necessary, we don't mean to harm any other pack, but survival is a must." He laid down and scratched his ear, almost forgetting to ask his question. "Oh right," , he felt a wave of embarrassment wash over him for being so forgetful. "What is your favorite time of day, as well as season?" He looked at the other wolves, wondering if they noticed his slight absence of question, he decided to brush it off and let his tail wag happily, waiting for the next leader's response.

Sun Chaser flicked his ear as if shooing a fly as he listened to the other leaders take their turns around him. What an interesting mix of personalities leading different packs of wolves in the world! Briefly, he wondered how many more leaders he would have the chance to meet with in the future. "My favorite time of day is when the sun begins to set, yet it's still plenty bright out. When everything turns to gold in the setting sun. The springtime is my favorite season, too."

His tail began to wag lazily, relaxed and amused by this gathering. "Does your pack give thanks to the lives they take on the hunt?"

Her tail twitches, her eyes scanning the other leaders

"Of course, they deserve respect for their gift to the pack" she breathes deeply, closing her eyes and taking in the scents and sounds around her. She casually scratches her ear and continues.

"What is your favorite battle move?"

Rigantona grins a sharp grin from where she lays perched atop a fallen moss-covered tree. "Biting, of course." she states, her voice strangely melodic, "There's something so...satisfying about being able to leave multiple wounds in your opponent. Watching them struggle as you puncture them only to leap away and sink your fangs into them again. It's definitely a form of playing with your food, but much more deadly. I find it lovely."

She leaps off of the fallen tree, slowly padding over to sit next to next pack leader. "And you?" she questions, her voice like a song in it's own right, somehow, "Who will surpass you, once you're long dead and beneath the soil?" she finishes, her tail waving behind her in a soft sway, and her orange eyes glinting with an emotion unknown to the unobservant.

Latro gave a soft chuckle at the wolf's question, thinking of his young heir. However, he didn't speak for a moment, choosing his words carefully. There were so many wolves of differing temperaments, there would be no telling what some would do with the information given during this gathering. "I found a young pup at the trade center not too long ago. I was obvious their leader had no idea of their potential if they were willing to give him away. I sense Numen has nearly as much divine calling as I and he will be a great leader once he is taught."

He turned to another leader, tail curling around his paws in a catlike elegance. "What keeps your pack together? Is it simply for survival or is there something more personal that keeps your wolves tied to you?"

Scathos blinked, rolling his shoulders before answering. "It is the belief in our honored gods that keep us together. In fact, it is one of our gods that brings each new pack member to us. Tovnas god of messages, sends our sage messages, of wolves that enter our territory, who would be..." he trailed off considering his words. "more willing to join our pack."

Nodding, the male turned no another leader, raising a whiskered brow. "If you could know the absolute and total truth to one question, what would you ask?" It was a question he often asked himself, still he had no answer for himself.

Rigantona blinked, her composure somewhat...lost. "I suppose..." She started, but trailed off. Her eyes looking past the male leader and looking off into the unknown. "I suppose I would ask...will I be remembered?"

Several moments passed before Rigantona leaped nearly six feet into the air, landing on all four paws like a particularly well practiced feline. "Enough of that!" She shouted frantically, turning towards the next leader, practically shoving herself in their face. "What do you do with the runty pups within your pack's litters?"

Monywnn sat straight, paws neatly put beneath his almost feathery chest and ears flicking as he absorbed the question, and pondered. "Irrelevant," he mused after a few beats. "We give them the protection they may require, and whether or not the pack has need of them in the future depends on more than their size or potential capabilities."

The next leader beckoned his ever-changing attention, and he turned to them, throwing his head in greeting and throwing out a question. His words dragged, as if he felt there were more important things to be doing, teeth gritting and hissing with every syllable. "Appearances." The king of his pack raised his paw to his mouth and absently licked between his nails, gaze heavy and lidded. "Does appearance matter to you in regards to wolves in your pack? Or do you prefer different attributes leading your decisions?" He waited for an answer with bored eyes.
