Are some of the genetics unnatural to make gameplay harder? For example:

"Non-carrier x Mutation = 15% Carrier, 85% Non-carrier, 0% Mutation"

This should be 100% heterozygous unless someone has decoded multiple sets of genes interacting?

It has been made unnatural to make game play harder, from what I know. The devs wouldn't have wanted 2 muties always making muties because then they would become super common.

Thank you. Too bad. As someone who studies genetics this makes me cringe but I get it.

Thanks to GrayStar51 (#38573), we now have the death age and flavour text messages for the Polymelia mutation! They've been added to the mutation post. Which means, I believe we finally have all of the information about each of the lethal mutations! Thanks everyone for your help and contributions

Is there a spot with more detailed information on the breed only bases? Warm Dark III only has Pyrope and Realgar which say they are breed only. Or Warm Dark II Auburn? How can you breed them if you don't have them because you can't breed up in rarity?

Since Fox was the first T3 base introduced to the site, all other T3s expanded off of breeding a certain base genetic (Warm Darks for this example) to those Foxes to create your classified "breed-only" status of other T3s, like Pyropes and Realgars.

Breed-only is pretty well just the classification that it cannot be obtained any other way besides breeding.

It doesn't have to be a specific base to create them either. If you has say, a sarder and a dinar (both Warm Darks), they have the chance at dropping auburns. It's just standard dice roll as to which base is selected, be it the same as the parents, or a completely different one.

(I hope that quote works lol)
So if I was trying for Pyrope or Realgar I'd need either one of them or Fox plus a Warm Dark II base?
What if I was trying to get Auburn from scratch? It doesn't need a Black base and a Red base wolves to get?

1. Yep! That works! If you breed pyropes and/or realgars to themselves, you get the chance at more. Fox x Warm Dark T2s also do the same thing if working from the ground up, but the rates are lower for a T3 passing into the litter.

2. There isn't a way to get Auburn from scratch persay (unless someone chases an Auburn and voila lol). Any Warm Dark base, that is bred to a t2, t3 or t*, can result with an Auburn in the offspring. Site just randomizes which of the bases in the Warm Dark category pass onto the litter. Although others hoped breed-only bases like Auburn would be the case of a Black/Red base breeding, it sadly isn't. :')
