🐺 Puppy Stages: Minor Toggle / Customization Idea 🐺

🐺 Puppy Stages: Minor Toggle / Customization Idea 🐺

My suggestion is fairly simple, so I'll keep it short!

If you buy the puppy stages, the game should allow you to toggle particular stages on or off, letting you only use the ones you enjoy most.

For example, if I don't like the default puppy art, I can toggle it off. That way my puppies will first have Newborn stage and then Young Puppy (for the duration of when they'd normally be "Young Puppy" and just "Puppy").

Why? Many people I've talked to (as well as myself), don't like a particular puppy stage for various reasons. Some don't like the default puppy appearance, others don't want the newborn stage because it doesn't display the eyes/base/markings clearly.
I think it would be nice to let people customize their experience a bit more, which might influence them into buying pup stages!

This update will only require some coding to set up the puppy stage menu.

I support! I really don't newborn because it's too small and doesn't show the eyes, and you can't see the markings at a glance. I know you can see in wardrobe but sometimes my connection is spotty and it takes forever to load, and I don't have time to look at every pup in wardrobe view.

I'd be more inclined to buy it if I could skip straight to young puppy though!

Does it mean that when I toggle off "Newborn" stage, the pups will born with "Puppy" stage, become "New Puppy" and then "Puppy" again?

Support! Young puppy is by far my favorite out of the poses and I'd love to keep them in that stage until they're 6 months old.

I'm not that big of a fan of the newborn stage since the markings can look cluttered and I can't see the eyes unless I click on it and view its genetics.

Considering we already have to pay 50gc (or $10+ USD) I don't think it'd be that difficult to code into the game.

I support!! Are we proposing it so we can toggle certain stages on and off for all wolves, or on particular puppies? I think both could be an interesting implementation - the ability to toggle off the oldest puppy stage for all your puppies, or just put a particular puppy in a particular stage.

@ Dżanek, nope, it will always go in order from youngest to oldest! If you toggle off Newborn, it will be Young Puppy for the duration of Newborn & Young Puppy, then it will grow into Puppy (this is starting to sound like a tongue twister).

If you were to disable Young Puppy, it would go Newborn > Puppy.

@ Naike, that's a very interesting suggestion! I was thinking it could be an "account-wide" menu, as in all puppies will only have the stages you have toggled on/off. However, it would be cute that you could set that as default, but go into separate puppies' settings and toggle one specific stage for them only!

Support! I definitely love the young puppy stage better than newborn and the regular puppy stage, so being able to just view that stage would be amazing!

I believe that giving more options to users who have purchased pup stage feature would encourage those who haven't to purchase it, which is a good thing. Currently, those who have purchased it are forced to keep those stages. Anyone can change their mind and there's no way to undo it even without a refund.

I also like Naike's idea about choosing which pups are affected by stages, it can help especially those who use custom decors and have to wait until their pups grow up to wear some of them while other pups who don't use those are preferred to look younger.

The only disadvantage I can see is that other players may get confused when visiting dens of those who have this feature purchased and custom toggled but it wouldn't be much more uncomfortable as it is now between those who have this feature purchased and those who don't. Headshots in trades can mislead as to age but I doubt it's practically a concern.

Big big support! I'm honestly not a fan of the regular puppy pose and I would love to get to just see young puppy and newborn troughout the pup's life.
