Aster finished all the chores in three hours time and her father went to check on her ever so often " You ruined another perfect ceremony, Aster. "

" Father.. please dont baby talk this to me. I know it was foolish.. I knew it was a right thing to do though. even if you didnt think it was. Im doing this for me.. not for you. Now if you excuse me.. Im getting the male i saw coming"

She nudged him as she headed out of the stable and headed to get the mail. And a smile crept onto her face once she saw the letter from Lazarus. She read it two times as she headed back inside. She didnt want to write back to him. Yet. She had to think of what to say back to him first. She sat down on her bed and got her rose scented parchment out before writing down her own thoughts

' dear Lazarus.. I  loved spending time with you tonight. Something about you cheered me up... the dance was wonderful, even though you stepped on my feet a few times. You will get better, I promise. The walk to the park was another wonderful moment. 

But thats why I am not writing this letter to you. I was wondering if you would mine having me over one time to just hang out and  spend more time together. I just feel a push  and I think I am doing the right thing in asking you this.   If you ever need help with anything, don't be shy to ask me. Ill be around.'

She wouldnt send it til tomorrow morning

Lazarus got to his home soon enough, and he quickly started to make sure all of his animals were alright and put away his horse into the stable. Now that he was thinking about it, he probably should clean his house up really well just in case of Aster ever feeling like she should visit.

So, he did his best to try and make sure his house was cleanish, but it had a lot of clutter items and it was reasonably small. He did prefer it that way, it made it feel cozy and somehow full despite how he did live alone. Dusting and cleaning the floor was needed, though, and there certainly was some other areas with more dirt then needed. Animals snuck in to his home from time to time and it left mud and such behind.

Once it was all done, Lazarus just decided to go and go to bed, as he couldn't see anything else he would be able to do unless he heard back, whenever that might end up being. He figured he might end up being in the morning, just based on the fact he only sent the letter at night.

Aster fell asleep with her letter to Lazarus in her lap. The smell of roses around her. She dreamed of Lazarus that night, hoping that it would turn out to be what she hoped it to be. A soon to be friendship.

Morning came shining bright the next morning and Aster got out of bed, put on her  royal outdoor clothes and headed to the stable. " I have to send this to him. I hope I wont be too early" She said grabbing the side saddle and bridle and tacked up Frost. " Come on girl. Time to get you out. "

She led her out past the castle gates before getting on her. She remembered the paper Lazarus gave her the night before and looked at it. " Hm..  shouldn't too bad, since I know where everything is around her for a hundred miles"

She then trotted off to Lazarus's home in the forest.

Lazarus had been up already before dawn, being pretty much used to it, and had now been eating a late breakfast, just sighing as he read over one of his newest books since it was rather interesting, or for him. He had been thinking about fixing up the house structure wise, but he did keep looking around as he knew there was a chance of him getting a letter or Aster coming around.

He did soon enough finish up and started to try and get ready to try and give his horse a bath, as she always got dirty after a trip to the town and he felt he should make sure she was happy. Plus, he had to do something while waiting to see, though he did swear he might be able to hear hoofbeats after a while of brushing his horse's coat.

Then again, he wasn't sure if it was actually anything and more just him hearing stuff, but Lazarus did move to try and get the trail leading to his home into his view.

After getting lost a few times, Aster finally got Frost in the right direction. " I mean... Lazarus  did  say it was hard to get to his home, Frost". I would say impossible though"

Frost gave a  loud snort to Asters response and walked on. Rabbits, birds and squirrels went  about their business as Aster continued Frost on towards Lazarus's home.

Finally, Aster saw a small house in the far end of the forest and chuckled " Come on Frost, just a little farther"

But Frost stopped, snorting. She knew that being in a new place was dangerous, in her sense

" Awe Frost, come on, baby gir." Astersaid " Alright then. Ill just call to him and see what happenes"

And thats what she did. He royal angelic voice rang out though the forest " Lazarus.. you here?"

Lazarus gently started to lead his horse back to their fenced in pasture, especially once the hoofbeats sounded very close. If he was being honest, he only expected it to be a messenger with a letter, so hearing Aster's voice was quite a surprise.

He quickly shifted to gently walk past the chickens pecking at their food, moving to the front of the house where he indeed spotted the princess. "oh, you actually are visiting. I just thought you'd write, n-not that this is a bad thing." He explained lightly, clearly surprised, but he wasn't at all upset.

"Did you get here alright...?" He then asked, knowing that, especially for a first trip, getting through the forest wasn't all that simple. His mother did that on purpose.

" I got lost a few times, but I-im fine" Aster said not getting off Frost.  She took out the letter and handed it to him " best if you read it when im not here.. I dont want to upset or embarrass you. "

She looked around without moving Frost " i hope im not interrupting anything, Lazarus.. I just came to drop that off myself" that was only partly true of course, but she would let Lazarus find out the true reason why she was there, himself.
" Do you mind letting Frost relax and graze for a bit?" then Aster finally slid of her side saddle looking at Lazarus " getting here wasnt easy, you know" she chuckled

Lazarus moved up to take the letter offered, looking at it, but he nodded in understanding when she said he could wait to read it. He just carefully tucked it away into a back pocket of his pants for safe keeping, seeing as he'd deal with it later. It was quite obvious that he seemed more relaxed with being at his own house and not in a crowded area.

"I was only doing a bit of chores, so you aren't really bugging anything. um... I can take Frost to the fenced area with my own, if that works...?" He offered, shifting to try to take Frost's reins from Aster while moving to point towards the back of the house, though some trees and other structures did make the fence a little less obvious.

"And yeah, you can thank my parents for wanting to keep away for it being a bit difficult. Or well, so I've heard. I know it just by muscle memory at this point." He lightly explained, shifting a hand to let Frost sniff it, as he wasn't entirely sure what the horse's temperament might be in regards to him.

" She's pretty sassy, so mind you if she begins to just fool around. " Aster said with a chuckle " And no its fine. she needs the company anyway. She's my fathers horse, but I don't care taking her out once in a while"

She walked alongside Lazarus as he led Frost to the other mare. " she will think she's the boss, so if a  fight starts.. let them deal with it them selves.. I tried to stop Frost from doing that one time and she   nipped my arm. But  that's why I leave her alone when she's with other mares" 

She stayed quiet after that. She noticed that he was  calmer and more open to talk compared to when they were at the celebration the night before.  It made her  smile a little as she looked up at Lazarus. 

Lazarus nodded in understanding, though he maybe slightly frowned as he knew his own horse tended to be a bit jumpy and was of a much softer personality. "Well, I'll still keep an eye on it. Lacey can get pretty skittish at times." He murmured, hoping that it would possibly work out fine or else he'd of course have to move them somehow.

Carefully he opened the gate and led Frost inside, letting her go after before leaving the fenced in area and shutting the gate. "Lacey usually gets along with others, I'd just be more worried about her getting injured, but then again, she can jump these fences if she was in any actual danger." He explained lightly, dusting off some dirt that he had on himself.

"Sorry things are kinda messy, It's a little hard to avoid getting dirt on my clothes somehow." He explained lightly, as it was true and more than likely he could figure he'd get dirt on himself again at some point, whether it be while Aster was there or after she leaves.
