MAZOKU || MALE || CROW WARRIOR

Mazoku was indeed following behind his Beta, working his limbs hard to keep up with the dark wolfdog. "Springs Pack better remember our generosity if we have to step in!" He barked, the vocalization followed with a hearty chuckle.

As the two appeared at the scene, they saw Phynx barking rapidly at a vixen. Mazoku had just barely caught a glimpse of the Springs Beta (who he'd forgotten the name of) being dragged away. An eyebrow raised in concern and confusion. Is she dead?

He looked at the tall Dane Alpha and then at Shadow, wondering if they should leap into the fight with the tiny vixen that was obviously overpowering Phynx. He could surely use some Crow Pack strength.

Shadow looked at the scene in front of him, a female fox was attacking the spring pack's alpha. While the beta was being dragged away. Shadow wondered how a large male like Phynx couldn't fight off a small fox, but then again Shadow knew how quick a fox was. He looked at Mazoku and nodded his head, giving the approval that they would step in and fight off the enemy. Shadow let out a battle howl and ran over to the struggling Alpha. 

PHYNX// SPRINGS PACK ALPHA// MALE

Phynx leaped onto the viven, his claws dug deep into her fur. Even when she was jumping up and down, yelping, he stayed on. He bit down hard on her shoulder, making it bleed more. That's when he realized Crow Pack had come to 'help'. The huge Dane latched onto the foxes neck, biting down hard. Finally the vixen fled the scene. "Well." The Dane walked towards the Crow pack dogs, "I'm not sure if you two came to fight, or actually help." Phynx smiled. "Thanks for even thinking about helping us, well, me, but I had it under control." Phynx nodded and padded off, he walked into the cave where Maira and Juniper were found.                     

Juniper || Female || Springs Healer

After pulling Maira into the healer's cave and on to some soft bedding, Juniper collapsed to the ground. She wasn't sure how she had found the strength to pull the slightly larger dog back to camp, but that strength was definitely gone now. Quickly checking over Maira's wounds, Juniper's tail drooped. The Azawakh was bleeding hard along her back where the angry fox had ripped through the skin and muscle with her razor-sharp claws. Juniper herself was better off, weary and sore but with only some small cuts and larger bruises where she had hit the tree. Despite the urge to curl up in her nest and sleep off her aching muscles, she gathered up some cobwebs and scraps of human fabric and set to work bandaging the beta's wounds.

MAIRA || FEMALE || SPRINGS BETA

Maira groaned in pain as she was put on the soft bedding within the Healer's Cave. She did not protest as Juniper wrapped bandages around her belly to stop the bleeding on her back, and she did not even raise her head when Phynx came back to the camp, stopping at the entrance.

"Thank you, Juniper." She whispered to the Healer when her bandages were all done. She laid her head on the bedding, letting out a shaky sigh. Stupid foxes.

MAZOKU || MALE || CROW WARRIOR

Mazoku growled skeptically at the Springs Alpha's suddenly renewed vigor in the battle when he saw the Crow dogs running to his aid. "Don't know how to take help, do you?" He scoffed, rolling his eyes. "You could've gotten your Beta killed just because us showing up was a key factor in your victory."

The dark male watched the Dane Alpha slink off towards his camp, and he clawed at the grass, slightly angry. He looked over at Shadow, not knowing what to do after that.

Shadow watched as the Spring Pack's alpha went off to his camp and growled in annoyance and anger.

" We could've just let him fight that vixen on his own and at least we were kind enough to try to aid him, Spring pack mutt". Then he turned around and began padded off  in the direction of the Crow Pack territory. " We should stop worrying about the Spring pack mutts and worry about what our pack is going to feed on tonight, I don't know if we can keep on surviving on bones for much longer" He growled to Mazoku.

MAZOKU || MALE || CROW WARRIOR

Mazoku nodded in agreement, and lingered at the border for a few moments longer, glaring at where Phynx had disappeared. With a grunt, he turned on his heels and followed after Shadow, his hackles still prickling with agitation at the loss of a fight.

"Maybe we could check around Moon Pack's border... see what kind of prey they have around there." He suggested, his muscles rippling lightly under his short coat. Ears pricked and ready for a reply, he eyed his Beta with awaiting, amber eyes.

Shadow's fur prickled when the male offered to check around the Moon pack's border for prey, as much as the thought made his very fur raise tough decisions would have to be made and Shadow knew that if they didn't get some food for the pack and soon they wouldn't make it.

" Fine, but just the border" Shadow growled at Mazoku. " Last thing we need is a fight"

Juniper || Female || Springs Healer

"You're welcome, Beta." Juniper murmured, moving towards her nest in the corner on shaky legs. She plopped into the comfortable, protective comfort, ready to sleep. Still, something dark lingered in her mind. Phynx had chased away the fox assassin, but there were more foxes out there. They would be angered by the vixen's failure, and more aggressive than ever. What if the foxes attacked while she and Maira were resting? Injured as they were, they stood no chance against the full skulk, or even a small attack force. Juniper shook her head, trying to push the idea away. Finally, she slipped into the warm embrace of sleep.

(OOC: Is it okay if, maybe at the height of the tension with the foxes, Juniper finds an abandoned fox kit and adopts it to raise in Springs Pack? I think it could lead to some nice character building and interactions and also that Juniper would be an interesting surrogate mother figure.)
