@DaggerDietriech

That's okay!! Don't worry about it! :)

And Jackie, I really like that layout actually :O We'd need to make it more condensed though so just one recipe doesn't take up several pages.

What about a spreadsheet instead of a Google doc?  Something like this

I'm a sucker for spreadsheet so I just threw this together but you can navigate through different (empty) tabs to particular kinds of baked goods!  I've added 2 examples of possible cookie recipes to the second tab, one where the full ingredient list and (slightly summarized) instructions are included, and a second where an overview of ingredients and a clickthrough link to the instructions is provided instead.

The link should provide editing rights, so please feel free to add your own recipes and play around with the layout if anything looks wonky or if you have ideas to improve it.

I'll go through and add more recipe recommendations of my own if people are into it!

I think Spreadsheet could be easier to manage for sure! And it would be better for organising, I also like that you included metric units too.

Yeah of course!  I prefer measuring in grams when I bake, especially with finicky things like macarons, so I get how annoying it can be when recipes only provide cups for measurements.

Some things I unfortunately don't know the conversions for off the top of my head (like butter since it comes in convenient 1/2 cup sticks) but I'll do my best to include weight measurements for things like sugar and flour.

Took me a minute to understand how the spreadsheet things work but now that I understand I think that's actually a really cool idea ! Probably easier to organize and clearer !

If you want help to keep the Spreadsheet, I can help with it! I've done several personal spreadsheets for myself and I know how to use it well...ish at least.

Also a question for today, I'm curious and would like an answer:

Do you have grounded cardamom easily available in almost any market?

I'm asking this because while I went to visit my friend in southern France a few years back, we were hanging together with his friends and I was asked to make Finnish pulla. But they didn't have grounded cardamom anywhere and found it quite a weird thing to have as well.

@Kahvin...

Yeah, actually! I’m near a couple of Walmart’s and Publix’s that are loaded with the stuff! I don’t use it myself though, up until now I don’t think I’ve heard of it too much XD!

didn’t even know I had so many stores where the stuff is available!

it looks quite similar to cinnamon, though, if I were to get it, I’d need to put it in two very separate cabinets, since I assume it’s not for desserts and more meant for meals Xd

(I really have a horrible memory at times, so I don’t even think that cabinets could save me and my desserts)

 I live in France and I've seen it a few times ! I don't things that's something we really use a lot here but I guess you'd be able to get it quite easily ! At least where I live. Things I have some trouble finding in France is stuff like molasses, or even baking soda, which is different from baking powder right ?

@Dagger, yep, Baking soda is different from baking powder.

(honestly, I’m still a little salty about it, but oh well-)

 I understand tho. It's really frustrating when you want to bake/cook something and realise that you miss ONE ingredient, or that said ingredient isn't really available around you :/ Happened to me a lot when I started cooking Japanese meals.
