Macaron's are so good! I don't have the skills to even attempt making them, and after buying some from a bakery in France - the storebought ones just are nowhere near the taste level.

Happy Thanksgiving all! I might do something later today, since I’ll be with my grandparents in a bit.

I’m definitely going to go really big today. Not sure what I’m going to make tho XD

I’m definitely making some sort of small dessert for myself lol. If they (my family) want any, they gotta make it themselves lol

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Here is a recipe that I love to bake around this time of year. These are "Buttery Pumpkin Cookies", though they re more like cookie cakes. These are soft, plump, and utterly delicious!

Prep: 30 min

Bake: 13 min at 350 F

Cookie Ingredients

2 cups of butter softened

2 cups of granulated sugar

2 tsp baking powder

2 tsp baking soda

2 tsp pumpkin spice

1 tsp salt

2 eggs (or flaxseed as a substitute)

2 tsp vanilla

1 15 oz can of pumpkin

4 cups of all purpose flour

Brown Sugar Icing (Optional)

1/2 cup of butter

1/2 cup of packed brown sugar

1/4 cup of milk

1 tsp vanilla

2  and 3/4 cups powdered sugar

Instructions for Cookies

1, Set out butter until softened to room temperature

2. Preheat oven to 350F

3. In a large bowl beat the butter with a mixer on medium for 30 seconds. If not using a mixer, beat by hand until the butter is smooth.

4. Add the granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, pumpkin pie spice, and salt. Beat on medium in the mixer for 2 minutes until ingredients are combined.

5. Beat in the eggs and vanilla until combined. Beat in pumpkin. Beat in flour.

6. Drop 1/4 cup portions of dough 2 inches apart onto an un-greased cookie sheet and bake 13-15 minutes until the tops are set and the sides are golden.

7. Remove from cookie sheet and cool on a wire rack. Top the cookies with brown sugar icing if desired. Wait until the cookies are completely cool before adding icing! If desired, sprinkle some additional pumpkin pie spice atop the icing.

Icing Instructions

1. In a small saucepan cook and stir the butter and brown sugar on medium heat until the brown sugar has dissolved.

2. Stir in the milk and vanilla.

3. Stir in the powdered sugar until smooth. Use immediately!

I've an idea... If it's not too much trouble, we could collect all shared recipes on the first page? Just as links to the posts maybe?

Yeah I was thinking about that not too long ago actually. Or possible making a google doc or something with different sections for links. Like a cake section, a cookie section, etc.

I'd need help though lmao because im really bad at organizing

Did someone say...organizing? I'm a bit of an organization freak, I'd be cool with helping with google docs. I'm hardly an expert, but we could have different docs for different things (cakes, pies, cookies, ect.)

I might get a couple of you guys together to help with it? I'm super uncoordinated lol. Having a doc would definitely be easier than having to scroll through these comments.

This is a sample google doc I made for the cookie recipe I made. We could add more as they are posted.
