Getting really annoyed at these "Go [verb] 3 of [target thing]" quests because it seems like whenever I get one, I never encounter any of the target thing. I've been trying for two days to find 3 distressed creatures to help and I've only found 2. Before that, I kept finding a bunch of downed eagles, broken-winged owls, abandoned wolf pups, stranded bunnies, flaming wolves, and cowering cougars.

like i said I had no problem with that quest and maybe to help you out more with that quest try biomes in the center of the map

The only biomes I've got at the moment are in the center of the map and I've struggled with the distressed creature quests as well this round. Sometimes it really just feels like the RNG picks people to dislike

I just skip those. I don't get the Distressed one since I took a different alignment, but beating up Kinfolk or Independent...or beating up a random creature from the cryptid's home biome. I know they're gonna be a pain. Although, some of the other tasks...the Healing Salves, Carcasses, and things...makes me feel like I'm gonna be strapped for stock by the end of the month.

Thank you, Toaster! I followed your advice, looked got distressed animals in Grasslands and Deciduous Forest despite disasters and cataclysms occurring in other biomes and completed the quest within 86 minutes with a bunch of energy still left.

It could be luck due to doing it for one quest but I'll try out this strategy in further quests when they're given.
