Unfortunately - like last year - I'm having to skip more quests than I'm playing. I spent 4+ hours last night and so far almost 6 hours today looking for distressed animals and have only found one. I will now always skip that quest (like so many others - I've already used all my leaves and rocks and nesting so have to skip those; as well as looking for three "merged beasts" to kill is also elusive [unless I'm not doing that quest - then they'll pop up every time!

] too.) I'm sorry - but wasting a whole day (yesterday and today) of combined energy trying for one quest is not fun (to me!!). IMO - I feel the quests need to be realistically achievable for the event to be called fun. Again - just my opinion and I appreciate others may feel differently. At least I have a lot of SC to waste!

This is my 2nd day looking for 1 last Merged to battle. I'm simply exhausting Curran's available energy.
And can't do other quests. Not that the next one wouldn't just be a repeat of the Battle 3 Merged ... All grind ~ no fun.

Same, I'm skipping more quests than doing them just because how difficult it is and how long it takes to complete those kill and help quests. Which takes away some of the fun of the event. Now I'm running out of nesting materials , which is another type of quest I'm having to skip.

But finding distressed animals and defeating cryptids are the most fun quests! The rest are just... click for insta-reward. Boring! Scout or uncommon fish? I've already done them before the quests started I just need to submit! Item quests? I have thousands of them, I don't see any difference! When I get distressed animals or defeat cryptids quests, these are my favorite because I don't have to change my plans on how to explore the biomes for the most battles that come along the way. These quests have reminded me why I was so excited to see another 10% energy bar refilled - that I had another opportunity to make a progress in the quest and couldn't wait for the next dose!

Sure @Dżanek - I can 100% agree with that feeling. That's why I accept and try them. And try them, and try them. How long until I should be able to achieve it? I myself have a set amount of time that I can devote to the game (which is a LOT of time overall TBH). Should it take one day? Two days? 10 full energy refills? 20? For me personally, as that time ticks on - I do less while I'm exploring to save energy to continue exploring, in the hopes that I'll get that elusive distressed animal - or that bobcat that just never pops up to be battled. After a whole day, or more, to me 'personally' - it turns from fun to boring. I accept others may be OK with that. Bums me out that I don't get to try another quest that day, or I end up not battling the items that I know will eat up a lot of energy to get more scales. Overall it's probably a give and take. I do enjoy the chase. But as soon as I accept a quest to defeat three merged characters - they stop appearing. I may get one within 4-5 hours. But I still have two more to catch. It just comes down to - how long is too long? I'm just one player, but for me... I feel should be able to complete at least one quest in a 24 hour period.

Preferably - I'd like to be able to complete more than that!! So if I can line up a hunt or scout quest between those, then yay - I can do three per day instead of just that one. I truly respect how you feel and appreciate it and I know I'm just one opinion!

There's a point when it stops being fun. I thoroughly disliked this event last year for the same reasons. The risk/effort/reward is not balanced and whatever sort of algorithm is in place to generate encounters is way, WAY off. Any event that requires you to be sat here for 12 hours a day just to get one piddly part of it completed is not worth it.

Many of the easier quests that are just "insta-reward" as it has been put are asking for things in such huge quantities that only very long time and active players who have built up a pretty huge hoard of this stuff could ever hope to complete. And even though I'm one of those that has plenty to spare, I don't find it at all enjoyable throwing away en masse the stuff I've built up over the years for next to nothing. Burning through 30-50 cave materials, 10+ healing salves, 10+ nesting materials PER DAY (so far, that'll only go up as more are discovered) depending on the quests you get is just insane. Not to mention the amount of SC being wasted skipping the impossible to fulfill quests. Also not to mention how the random encounters in explore are often taking salves and food from you too. Scale amount earned and found needs to be significantly or more trophies need to be dropped or some sort of other reward increased to make all of this worth it imo.

It's such a wonderful concept but the execution of this event leaves much to be desired and I'm quite disappointed none of this was addressed since we had the same complaints last year.

I wouldn't mind the distressed animal/defeat 3 cryptid quests if they didn't halt all progress. If one easily holds me up for 4+ hours of active exploring and only gives 5 CS, just to get another right after... No thanks, I want to do more than 3-4 quests in 24 hours. If we could do 2 quests concurrently, I would consider them. But I want to get CS from quests today, not twiddle my thumbs waiting for my 4th energy bar.

No matter which way you slice it, you're going to be losing something from doing most cryptid quests. I like Cataclysms, but it's very much the Burn Resources Event.™
