This is a roleplay between Hollow Howls and Harpy wings of the storm! You are welcome to watch, if you're that kinda weirdo, but please do not reply to this forum unless you are Yix or I.

Humans will always be scared of what they do not understand. In a strange state of mind, a small mob rushes into the forest, chasing a beast from the wooded area. Run, run, run. Finally she will find a place void of humans, but another creature lurks in the shadows. Will they get along, or perhaps the two will clash violently?

Dreaming was still new.

An overwhelming sense of dread overtook her as her light body began to reform. She hadn't been very conscious when she was last out, but she knew something was wrong with her gem. She no longer looked like a perfect example of gem society, instead she was some foreign monster she had never heard of. The anxiety and confusion that grew in her muddled mind at the detail that she could no longer control any manifestation of her gem thew her into a rampage, causing mindless damage. The last thing she could recall was a large object being thrown at her. She couldn't quite remember what it was, but it was big and it hurt.

She had managed to gather that she had been poofed, though something was preventing her from reforming. She was unsure of whether or not it was a good thing. Yet in her stunted state of mind she couldn't quite figure out what was keeping her light form at bay. And so she stayed. For how long, she couldn't say, but she was stuck inside of her own gem forever.

That was until one day, she could feel her body begin to reform. Panic flooded in, she couldn't return to that form, she couldn't even control herself. Slowly light began to regrow from her gem. Recognizing the feeling of fluid on her skin, she quickly shook off, eyes darting around frantically. There was a young human, he seemed familiar. Looking at him however screamed that he was a threat, as if he had something with her poofing. Something splashed around behind her, quickly turning to see she found a long, rounded tail. She didn't have a tail, right?

Scrambling out of the pool only seemed to make things worse. What had happened to her feet? They were incredibly different from what she remembered. The voice of the human male slipped in one ear and out the other, too caught up in failing to process what had happened. Figures began to approach and finally, it was too much. Escape was the only thing on her mind as she turned to flee.

A loud noise startled the gem from her poor attempt at sleepy, unsure of what exactly she had heard in her sleep dazed state. Her long tail wrapped firmly around the tree base, trying to shake the nightmare from her mind. She had heard some humans discussing it once when the came into the woods. The act was supposed to be relaxing. However, in the three times she had successfully managed to sleep, she never felt particularly relaxed. "Bullshit." She hissed under her breath, another thing she had picked up from humans.

She glanced around, noticing that the sun had yet to hide away, meaning she wasn't gone for very long. With a heavy sigh, she stretched out her stiff limbs, one downside she had noticed from the act, corrupted patters stretching at the act. She was safe now, well as safe as she could be. Some humans were pesky and persistent but for the most part they could be scarred off with a low noise or a quick chase. She needed to ensure that he wouldn't go back to that boy and the strange gems that surrounded him. Besides, being around these trees seemed more comfortable than other locations she had found.

Releasing the death grip her tail had on the tree, she turned to walk easily down the thinning branch before swinging over to another. She could navigate the branches like the back of her hand, something she had heard from a few humans now. It felt nice to stretch her figure after staying hunched up for so long and besides the distant noise of what she presumed to be another earth life form, there was nothing there to disturb her.

She froze as the sound had suddenly became much, much closer. She couldn't see the source of the sound just yet, though she was sure whoever it was had to be incredibly close. She no longer hung from the branches above, shifting to slink across the lower branches. She wasn't silent, no, that was a downside with being in the foliage, but being above whatever threat was out there was much better than being directly in their path.

Getting closer to the source, she could see an abnormally bright orange among the greens and browns. Careful to remain close to each branch she traversed the tree tops, her mutated form helping to keep her grounded. Dark eyes watched the being from above, it wasn't an earth creature she had seen before, but she had never seen anything besides gems with such a vibrant color before.
