Much to her surprise, she wasn't attacked as soon as she was properly acknowledged. Looking over the corrupted gem, it was clear it seemed agitated, the swishing of the lengthy tail rustling the foliage under it. Was it going to attack her? It felt incredibly strange that she wasn't fighting for her life right now. Brows furrowed, she cocked her head to the side as she pondered out loud. "What's with you?"

She watched suspiciously as the strange corrupted gem approached, unable to understand the noises it made. It didn't seem particularly aggressive and she was pretty confident that the monsters were unable of complex tricks, right? She swallowed dryly. If this truly was a trick and she was falling for it, she'd never be able to live it down. Hesitantly she relaxed her grip on the large hammer and brought it behind her to demanifest it. While still quite anxious, she remained still and held eye contact. Perhaps if she didn't seem like a threat, she wouldn't be attacked? Well, she could only hope that was the case.

She flinched briefly at the sudden movement, sighing out after observing that she didn't attack her or go after the noise. She couldn't help but stiffen as she approached, letting her sniff around and trying to avoid reacting to the tickling breath. Then she seemed to sneeze, earning a simple, sweet laugh from her, form relaxing at the action. "You're so strange." She smiled, reaching out curiously to see if she could touch the fur like growth on her spine.

The naturally themed gem grinned down at the warm gem, the small interaction bringing a lot of relief to her. Despite her choice to hide away, there was a small part of her that missed interactions. The best she could get out here was talking nonsense to any birds that would stick around when she spoke. She noted silently that this gem almost didn't seem like a corrupted gem as it began to slump and nod off.

What was the name of that animal? It started with a C. A cat! That's what it reminded her of. Humans would go on rants about the creature, seeming to be favorite among many. And if they were actually anything like this little scene, she could easily see why. She couldn't help but wonder what on earth was going on. Corrupted gems weren't supposed to be nice, she would know. Though she couldn't really complain, stroking a corrupted gem was much nicer than being mauled to shattering by one. "Cute?" She mumbled, uncertain of if she was using that word correctly.

The peace that came with brushing her strangely shaped hands down the fluffy and smooth form of the distorted gem was surprising. Pleasant none the less. She hadn't ever seen a corrupted gem in such a relaxed state and she hadn't touched anything apart from plants in suck a long time. Her design for society didn't really mean that she was able to interact with other gems: demolish a location, receive an instruction, and repeat. As the orange creature began to slump, she crouched down with her. Feeling a little bashful at wanting to continue the contact.

She let her eyes closed and sighed out, the action allowing her figure to relax properly. At least, that was before the gem awoke with a start, quickly withdrawing her hand on instinct. 'Bad!' A voice in her mind warned, panicking over the idea that perhaps she had been wrong about the other gem. She shuffled away as it rose up and began to glance around, nostrils flaring. As her short shirt was grasped, she began to worry, pushing the limb away. "What are you doing?" She asked, forgetting the fact that it wouldn't reply in a way she could understand. The change in it's actions seemed unprompted and she was unsure of what had triggered it. She wasn't being attacked, granted, but she was startled and confused, not a great combination for a naturally anxious being.
