She wished she could understand her properly, it was stupid that an uncorrupted gem couldn't understand a corrupted gem. It seemed incredibly agitated, which only added to her nerves. She finally tried following her gaze, blinking in confusion. Smoke? Maybe it was just a campfire. Humans were fond of those strange things. She made eye contact again, teetering between believing that it's concern was validated or if it was just over reacting. Even if the fire was uncontrolled, it couldn't melt her gem. With a distressed groan, she gave in, following in the direction of her tugging. "Okay, okay. What are we doing?"

Did.. Did it want her to climb on her back? Ride it like an animal? She couldn't help but think about her falling off if she climbed on top of the corrupted gem. But it seemed very distressed. Hesitantly, she closed the distance and awkwardly climbed onto her back. It took a little shuffling to get somewhere that felt comfortable and didn't feel like she was putting too much pressure on her. "Please be careful." She murmured, placing her reptile like hands on her shoulders.

She did her best to hold on, at one point twining their tails together. That however did little to prevent the sudden toss. She had just enough time to process how she'd land, on her back, with her exposed gemstone. Slamming her tail against the ground, the action caused her to continue to roll. She scrambled quickly to her feet, finding that the corrupted gem was not with her. Looking over the edge, she could see the orange figure slip further and further down the cliff, claws managing to slow the decent. She couldn't let it 'sacrifice itself for her'. In a smooth reaction, she summoned her hammer again. It was no climbing gear but it was still large enough to snag on any rock surfaces. She stumbled down the rocky slope, tail and hammer helping to keep her on course until finally. Her tail twisted around a foreleg, trying to heave her up. Her wide feet finally coming in use as it allowed her to mold her feet to the strange shapes and get a bit of traction. Between that and her hammer, she tried to haul the other gem with her.

A sweet giggle escaped her at the lick, the cute action causing a ticklish sensation. Her eyes widened as the corrupted gem almost seemed to speak, a genuine smile forming on her fact. It was actually conscious to what was happening. She might get herself a real friend she could interact with, even if their discussions might be tough.

And that was when a large clawed food hit her chest, sending her back with a heavy force. Her tail hit the ground, trying to counteract the backwards force. Her placement of her gen seemed to be more of an issue when she was uncorrupted then when she was corrupted. What was happening? They seemed to be getting along well up until now. And there was still the matter that the other gem felt it necessary to run from the fire she was running towards. Looking over the edge, it already had a sizeable gap between them. At this point even with the added distance of her hammer and tail, she still wouldn't reach. "I'm so confused." She whined out. Maybe something was wrong with the warm gem's corruption? To be honest, she was too tired and confused to work out a theory, instead plopping down on the edge of the cliff with a frown.

The gem waited to hear the shouts of humans and the gushing of their water shooting pipes. They were always on top of the uncontrolled flames. She could have easily walked down and treaded through the fire, but unfortunately with her corruption it turned out what the mane she had gained was flammable. A detail she learned the hard way. She'd rather not poof to the damage and take all that time and energy to reform.

She stumbled down the cliff side, managing to get to the bottom with only a few bumps. Starting forward she opened her mouth before hesitating. She didn't actually know what type of gemstone the creature was. Corrupted, yes, Orange, yes. Yet none of those details were helpful. There was plenty of orange-ish gems on homeworld and she hasn't seen her gemstone. How do you call for something that you don't know the name of, without attracting the attention of humans. After a few moments, she called out. "Friend? Where are you?" She tried. She felt incredibly awkward, how was that supposed to get anyone's attention. Still, she kept forward, trying to see if the vibrant oranges would stick out against the forest.
