♔ Sentine
I stood tall on the side of Itumis Rock, the cave walls protecting me from the Northern winds. Every New Moon we gather at Itumis Rock to gossip and share news among the pack. But tonight isn't a New Moon.
My confidence shows as I hold my chin high while I scan the clearing, wolves are still filling in for my coronation. Water drips from the cave walls and I shift my eyes to the hole in the ceiling, the Moon is nearly at it's peak as it's light shines bright into the cave, turning my pelt near iridescence. We will begin soon.
One Moon ago, the Sigil appointed me heir to Titan's crown, a shocking decision to the rest of the pack. They questioned my ability to lead in the Sigil's absence and the cave erupted in shocked whispers and angry howls,
"He's a Yearling, he has no experience!"
"He's not Titan Born!"
"What if the Creator rejects him?"
"That's enough!" the Sigil snapped, raising her tail at the command, "My decision is final, you are dismissed. Leave at once."
My fur bristles at the memory.
King Titan emerges from the shadows, his white blaze glows in the Moonlight. His fur is thick and he stands strong, but his once glowing amber eyes have grown weary and the scent of sickness betrays him. Luscinia lingers just out of sight from the pack, a bundle of herbs resting at her paws and a look of worry sparkling in her eyes.
King Titan takes his place on Itumis Rock and a howl echos off the walls, calling for the Gathering to start. The pack joins the howl and all conversation ceases.
The Sigil steps forward and takes her place at the head of Itumis Rock, raising her head and tail for silence.
She wastes no time, "Tonight we gather, the Full Moon at it's peak, for the coronation of Sentine. He will succeed Titan for the crown of the King," she pauses, as if daring someone to challenge her. She motions me to the center of the Rock, I bow my head and close my eyes and the pack does the same. She closes her eyes as she presses her muzzle to my head, "I, First Sigil Bgoj nene of the Royal Titans, ask the approval of the Creator and our Ancestors to appoint Yearling Sentine as the new King Titan," the wind begins to howl inside of the cave, my fur blows violently and ice pierces my veins. She raises her voice over the wind, "Yearling Sentine, you are now Second King Sentine of the Royal Titans, may you prove yourself to I, your Sigil, your pack, our Creator, and our Ancestors," she opens her eyes and steps back, the pack raises their heads and tails as King Titan steps forward, taking her place resting his chin on my head in silence. The pack throws their heads back in a howl loud enough to reach the Creator. He steps back and we join the howl.

I'm nightingale, and this is my profile page for my pack, the Royal Titans. I am based +2 hours ahead of WD time.
A little bit about me, I am a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation. I unfortunately did not get to grow up around the Tribe like much of my family did but after this semester I plan to go and visit so I can learn more about my Ancestry, our Culture, and ways of life. I'm from Dallas, Texas and moved to the Midwest in 2011 and can not wait to leave.
I am a tri sport athlete and a student so it can be hard for me to find time for WD, but I try to login around 1730 WD time.
