''Oh,'' Dahlia said, turning around. ''She's just over at the-'' The wolf fell silent. ''....Well, she WAS over at that big rock, and I have no idea where she is now...''
The wolf managed to keep a cool head, but only because she reminded herself that the den was closed off. There was no way Sylvia would be able to get out. Again, just for her own safety, just like they'd do with pups. ''She should be somewhere around here, though. ...So should Matthew,'' she mumbled after that statement.

Verdance seemed amused, "Well I guess we just have to go look for them." She said.

''I guess so,'' Dahlia mumbled. Where the bleep was her husband? She doubted he'd be outside the den, because Sylvia had to stay here for her own safety. She had not spoken yet. She mostly slept and cuddled with wolves. Not any single wolf in the pack had ever felt a human's touch, but all of them silently agreed that this was a very pleasant touch. One time, Sylvia was scratching the belly of a wolf, and their paw started moving all on its own!! All the wolves gawked at that, and the wolf in question just wanted her to do it again and again and again and again- And she did. Matthew called it 'petting' although none of the wolves had ever heard that word before. Though Sylvia was not really anywhere to be found, and Dahlia was getting a little worried.

"Would Matthew have brought her out of the den?" Verdance asked.

Dahlia shook her head. ''Not that I know. It's not like we're keeping her prisoner, but much like we would with a pup, we don't want her out of the den yet until we've at least gotten used to having a human around, the human has gotten used to us, and she's a little stronger. She's still very weak and young so... I don't think so,'' Dahlia said, shaking her head. ''But the den can be quite tricky to navigate,'' she admitted the truth. It was true; sometimes tunnels of plants would open up and that way you could technically get outside of the den; however, it was a forest where there was... pretty much no one, because it was closed off by the plants. The trees really blocked anyone but the pack from going in... or out. Sometimes those tunnels would open up and they were quite tricky, because you never knew how to navigate them, or where they were taking you. One thing was sure though; the den would always protect them and keep them safe; so even if Matthew or Sylvia would've gone into one of those tunnels they'd be safe. That was, unless the den wanted to force Sylvia out, but...

"I could ask the forest where she is, then. I don't know how many plants have their roots deep enough for this den, however." Verdance suggested.

Dahlia hesitated a bit. ''I don't know if this den has the plants you are used to...'' She said. ''I think they are part of the den. I could almost bet they are not in the forest though, but come along,'' she said, walking towards one such tunnel of green. Dahlia had no idea where it'd lead, but hopefully it would lead to her husband. And hopefully her husband had Sylvia with him.

(THERE I EDITED IT)
Surprisingly, the plants would not answer. In fact, even Dahlia could feel how restless the forest was, it was as if it was hissing... This was an Outsider, they did not live in this den. This wolf was allowed to walk in the den, and through the den... but not to their secrets.
Dahlia seemed a little uncomfortable with the sudden change in the plants, but she kept on walking. She saw the opening in front of her after while, and sped up a little, sighing in relief. ''Okay,'' she said, not reacting to the sudden change of standing in a closed off, dream-like forest where the sun did not shine. ''Maybe they're in here somewhere...?''
...
It sounded more like a question than anything else, really. But she still sniffed the air. Then, she howled for her mate.
