He hummed as he went to work making the pasta, "wanna crack open a bottle of the good wine, Avi? I got a free one from my job today. It's in my bag." He said, motioning to the bag where Avi had placed it. He continued to go to work on the pasta, looking over when he heard her talking to someone. She sounded concerned and the look she gave him was the look she made when she needed him to double check something. Finch walked over to the door, his vision was slightly impaired due to his heterochromia, but he could still see so much better than his roommate could. His eyes widened when he saw the person outside the door. "Holy shit, do you need a doctor?" He asked, looking them up and down to assess how bad the wounds were without touching them. He had no idea how they got those wounds, they could be afraid of people touching them because of that. So, he didnt touch him. Finch wouldnt assume what had happened, but a lot of those marks looked like the marks he would end up with after his father had a go at him for an hour or two. "Come inside, hon. Lets get you cleaned up." He said softly. |

"Shit-" Keikiro jolted slightly, his first instinct being to run, thinking it was his father. He jerked his head in their direction, his voice weak as he was invited in. "N-nah, I'm fine..." Keikiro lied, the words slipping free with ease. Obviously he wasn't, he was bruised and bleeding, and looked like he was in a lot of pain. But he couldn't let anyone know that he'd just received another beating. Not that anyone would care... he added dejectedly to himself, but his words rang empty in his head. Obviously these people cared, otherwise they wouldn't have offered to help him. Slowly, Keikiro limped his way inside. On top of his injuries, he was hungry. Due to his father still having relative control over him due to his youth, Keikiro had to rely on Nobunaga for money to buy food and take care of himself. And one look at the poor scrap was all it took to know, that he wasn't very well off. "Thanks..." He grunted, a few tears brimming. |

Avi clapped her hands together quietly. "Well then. What a party this is." She headed towards the freezer, pulling out the frozen peas she'd just bought and wrapping them in a towel. "Go sit down, put this over your eye for now. I'll go find some actual things to help soon. I'm Avi, by the way. My roommate Finch and I live here." She gestured to Finch before backing away, retreating to her bathroom. They had a few things that'd help, the bruising around the others eye hadn't escaped her notice and she did have a few smaller icepacks from the times her eye ached, as though the bone was sore. Gathering those and eyedrops, no doubt their eyes would be rather bloodshot from the looks of it, she soon moved out to the main room again. |

"You don't have to..." Keikiro attempted to protest, his voice weak and raspy. He wasn't used to this. Nobody ever cared. His father put him through walls on a good day, so this was nothing. Well... it would be if he weren't having trouble keeping back his whines and screams of pain with each movement his body made. Taking the bag of frozen peas, he eased his aching body into a chair, grinding his teeth as his back shrieked in agony. I'm lucky my ribs aren't broken. Again, at any rate. If he's trying to kill me, he's on the right track... "Just give me some painkillers and I'll be fine..." the lad groaned out yet another lie. How many times would he lie? He should be honest, he should tell people about the abuse. But if he did, it'd only get worse for his mother and sister. He was backed into a corner, like an injured wolf. "You really shouldn't be doing this for me..." |

He sighed softly, watching him limp inside. Finch closed the door, "I'll be right back." He said, going into his room. He didnt know if the man would feel more comfortable with a stuffed animal, like Finch's mother used to give him after his father had beat him, but he would offer one anyways. He dug through a bin of stuffed animals he had in the corner, grabbing a new black seal stuffed animal and closing the box. Finch walked back into the main room, shuffling to the bloody person. He took a deep breath, "uhm, I didn't know if you would want some comfort. I brought you this stuffed animal, but uh you dont have to take it. I just figured... my mom used to give me something to cuddle while she cleaned me up after my dad... Uh, this is awkward, here." He held the seal out, his hands shaking slightly. |

KEIKIRO Keikiro's face lit up slightly as he was offered a stuffed animal. He had quite a few in his own apartment, his favorite being a large black wolf that he'd cuddle at night. The first attempt at a smile graced his face as he almost instantly accepted the offering. "Thank you..." He whispered, finding a sliver of strength left in his voice. When he heard the person mention their dad, though, his smile evaporated, like mist on a summer morning. He tensed up, pulling the stuffed animal into his chest and drawing away with a sniffle. "Don't tell him I'm here-" Keikiro panicked, the mere mention of a paternal figure sending him to tears. "You can't tell anyone about me, he'll make it worse-!" |

Avi sent a glance at their other guest, Valentine, and handed on the things she'd brought out to Finch. Not terribly aware of what Finch was talking about she startled at the outburst, turning to the bloodied boy. "Oh no, we don't even know who he is. Yeah? We don't even know, you're safe here, the door is closed and while you can leave whenever you need or want, he can't come in." She held back, not trusting the boy to avoid flailing or anything. Finch she was fine to be close to, he was aware of the fact she couldn't see properly, but not a panicked stranger. Speaking of Finch, she sent him a small look, trying to make sure he'd take care of this boy while she made sure Valentine was alright and, if he wanted to leave, got home safely. Turning back to their original guest she smiled slightly, watching the dog who was still sniffing around the doors before looking at Valentine. "That didn't really go to plan. If you'd rather not hang around, that's completely understandable! Finch will finish the pasta eventually and I can drop it by your apartment if you'd like?" She asked quietly, trying not to worry the panicked boy sitting a few metres away anymore. |

Finch smiled back, happy that he accepted his gift. His eyes brightened even more at the words, shit... I shouldn't have mentioned him. His smile turned into a frown when the boy pulled into himself. "Shhh.. shh.. it's okay." He tried to calm him down without touching him, aware that he could have an aversion to that. "I wont tell him you're here. None of us will. Pinkie promise." He said, sticking his pinkie out for him. He looked over at Avi, nodding in acknowledgment that he has it under control before turning back. "What's your name? I dont want to just be calling you 'boy'." He asked, smiling softly again. |

Once he was reassured that he was safe, though it took him a moment to believe it, Keikiro calmed down some. These people seemed nice enough, they were treating him instead of hurting him, so what did he have to lose? They didn't know him. More importantly, they didn't know his father. "I-I'm sorry..." He sniffled, tears dripping as he began to cry. "I'm sorry... h-he just... he can't know what you're doing, he can't know that you're helping me... he doesn't want anyone to help me, he wants me to suffer..." Shakily, Keikiro lifted his bruised face, which was contorted with fear. He was on the verge of throwing caution to the wind, but he was still so scared of the repercussions. Still... he needed help. Maybe these people could be that help...? "Keikiro..." He said with a hiccup. "M-my name is Keikiro. Keikiro Naonuma." |

He didn't protest when both of them were pushed out the door by their employer, he was still processing some of the proposal. Akihiko looked to the other person, the chatty girl, just to examine her face. There wasn't a point in lingering, so he left before he could be the target of her words. [ Valentine ] The sight of this injured young man made Valentine's heart ache, he'd never enjoyed seeing others in pain. Even though he didn't know who this person was, there was still a strong instinct to help as much as he could. Helping others seemed to be his life purpose. "It's fine, I'd like to stay and offer my assistance though. I have some training in first aid." He replied to Avi with a concerned smile. Working at an animal shelter had providing extra knowledge for him about animal care and health, but he'd also taken classes regarding basic first aid and human biology. "Do you have a kit of some kind?" Valentine asked, making a box gesture with his hands to be a little clearer with what he was asking for. The husky that'd accompanied him began nosing at the boy, letting little huffs out as if seeking his attention. |
