Holiday-based explore encounters + items

Just wanted to pop in I think 'The Pyre' is a perfect example of this suggestion and I'm very pleased to see it added for one holiday.

20 small encounters relating to human traditions for the holiday (in this case, effigies from Scottish traditions. As well as something (what, we're not 100% sure yet) to build up towards and work to achieve. I'd still love to see more holidays get their own special treatment and encounters - even if not full mini-events like The Pyre. 		Lily (GH!)

I think if we should have any holidays in game they should be holidays made up specifically for the game's world lore instead of actual holidays that have ties to real world religions. As a non american I'm personally a bit tired of seeing those ultra american holidays show up in games I play, same with any other religious holiday I have no relation with as a non religious person, and I know there are a lot of non religious people in wolvden, probably a lot of non christians (wether they be muslim, jewish, buddist, pagan etc!) that most likely feel the same way.

I think if they implement more holidays of sort they should be made up holidays simply based on real holidays. Maybe more based on pagan traditions which they already seem to have done with some of the events like the Coigreach, or like with the "pyre" being based on halloween. But I'm voting against if you really mean you want there to be mentions of these real world holidays that are specifically just american or for one specific religion. :V I hope this doesn't come off as offensive or too harsh, that's not my intent. But I just don't think it's a good idea to add this.

And also like magicwhitewolf said, people are going to feel left out, I know I do when I see it in other games...


(Also as a side note just adding american ones just because wolvden is american based doesn't make any sense, we got coigreach and that is not based on anything american, if we add holidays it would only be fair to add holidays from around the world.)

I agree with Canis, so unfortunately no support from me. People from all over the world play this game so I don't think it makes much sense to add flavor text/encounters/etc. for American holidays. If anything they should be holidays based on the game's lore like Canis said.
