Kade immediately dashed after James, nearly making contact with his wrist. Karlie was done showing any restraint. He hadn't wanted James to see this, but that would just have to be a problem for the future. He grabbed Kade by the hair and swung him backwards, shoving him into the wall. "JAMES, CAR. NOW." He shouted, leaving no room for argument. He prayed silently that James would just listen, despite knowing the chances were slim.
Karlie could hear the other voices down the alleyway growing nearer, and he knew it was time to make his exit. He focused any adrenaline he had left into a single punch, knocking Kade to the ground, and possibly out cold. He turned back to the car, leaving Kade to sit on the floor of the alleyway.

James had saw how close Kade had gotten. Though the moment Karlie shouted at him he froze. He watched as Karlie took Kade down, and after a moment of hesitation he got into the car. His hands were shaking worse now, and his heart was racing so fast he felt he might die

Karlie got in the car and started it, ignoring the blood on his hand. He pulled out of the lot and headed to the nearest apartment building he could find. "Those lunatics won't follow us where there's this many people." He sighed, putting the car in park and looking over at James. "Do you want me to drop you off somewhere, or should I just shut up? I don't know how to help without touching you, James." He sighed, closing his eyes momentarily. He didn't dare use a nickname in this situation, but it still felt wrong not to call him 'Jamie'.

Think I might head to bed soon, so if I poof, you'll know why =w= ))

"I don't need help..." He muttered as he unbuckled the seatbelt. "I'll take the bus.." He said as he opened the car door wrists were hurting so bad and he nearly cried out when he pushed the door open. The bruising around them were dark and tears flooded his eyes.

Karlie heard the quiet whimpers escaping from James as he pushed on the door, and he reached forward without thinking. He held the other's wrist in his hand for a moment, horrified by the fact that he was the cause of this. He kept muttering how sorry he was under his breath, but then a part of him remembered that he needed to just stop talking.

James kept his head away from him, "Just.... Don't say a word.." He muttered as he moved his wrist away from him. He moved out of the car and closed the door. He out his hands in his pockets before he walked towards the bus stop and sat down. He kept his head down and looking at his wrists

Karlie didn't go after him this time, and instead pulled out of the parking lot and drove away. He didn't know where he was going, but he was too distracted by his thoughts to care. You fucked up. He's never going to forgive you. You're just like 'him'. This is why they won't let you see her. It's your fault.
Before he knew it, he'd accidentally driven home. Karlie walked inside, remembering that he'd left the door unlocked. He went into his room and grabbed a couple extra hoodies and some pants, shoving them into his backpack. He took his phone and headphones before taking his house key off of the keychain he used to hold everything. He left it on the counter with a note that read:

' The house is yours until you tell me I can come back. You don't ever have to let me come back. I'm sorry, Jamie. '

And with that, he locked the door and closed it behind him, heading back to his car. He stayed in the parking lot for maybe ten or so more minutes, just screaming his lungs out. He thought about the dark circles around James' wrists, and punched his window to try and calm himself down. All that got him was a crack in the window, and a sore hand.

James felt awful about just leaving but it was for the best. He had ridden the bus and he got to the dorm area and slowly walked into the dorm room. He saw the note and he felt his heart break as he read it. "I never should have snapped at him..." He muttered quietly. He soon broke down again, crying that he was sorry to everyone. He knew he couldn't stay in this dorm room there were to many memories here...and they were flooding his mind.

Karlie was sitting in his car in an abandoned parking lot with an open bottle of whiskey, though he had hardly touched it. The only thing stopping him from chugging the whole thing was the voice in his head saying that James wouldn't like it if he did that. He thought back to when things were less complicated between him and James- Back when James was just his awkward, introverted roommate, and he was just the annoying, extroverted friend. He would've given anything to just go back to that, but it was too late.

Hey!))

James didn't hesitate the moment he grabbed his things. He ended up putting them into a bag. He had finally come up with a decision... Drop out of college. He would restart somewhere new. He already had a bad reputation here at this place so he decided to just give up here. It was for the beat...He was a horrible person for Karlie to be around so he waa gonna fix this once in for all. He wiped off his tears and walked out of the room.
