It will be a dark world with no seasonal changes - its the usual Wolvden world, the same biomes and exactly same places - but it's always a cold, dark, mainly monochrome winter night. When a wolf dies, they wake up in the same place they've passed out in, may it be a lake they drowned in, or the place of a gory, lethal fight. But there will be just faint signs of the memories - the first day in the Deathlands the dead one will just see fade fogs of the figures who passed in the death place, quiet sounds of mourning (if somebody did that). I think there shall be one creature who stands behind this all - although I don't want this to be like the typical death reaper stuff.. Any other ideas here? |

The only dark, depressing world with no seasonal changes - the world you found love and life in, but waking up after the death you get met by a cold, dark, monochrome winter night. The place.. You shake your stiffened fur. It's heavy. Have you been given a second chance to continue the life? Chills go down your spine, this is the place you grasped for the last agonizing breath. Faint, dreadful howls are distantly heard, as the misty figure of your loved one passes with a lowered head. Don't go! The day passes.. Why? Can't you just let go of everything and step into eternal peace, without all of these sufferings? You feel like dying twice, the strangling atmosphere... Why not let go? Why not? Please... It must be the worst feeling you've experienced through your ended life. Everything felt just like a moment, and here you are, in this unknown, cold place. You meet this otherworld with a slow pace. Soon, your paw stumbles on a familiar rock. A fade smile.. Your past pack's lands. Past.. You let out a sigh. Time-by-time, other creatures pass. As your gazes meet, both's fur bristles. Their eyes looked like they held no life. Have you met before? You laugh quietly, but with absolutely no humor or happiness. The trees which were intended to bloom, the flowers which lost their mesmerizing colour and sweetness, making everything more of depressing. Paws shaking. Does this have to continue, until a last breath? You felt like if you didn't need oxygen anymore. Basically, you maybe didn't need anything now. A light snow coats your pelt, but no usual warmth spreads through your body. Years passed on. Or were these days, hours, or maybe minutes of silent suffering. Your paws barely lift now, it's getting hard to take a breath. But it wasn't so dreadful to know this like it did in the actual life. You gaze up at the starry sky, the fade glow didn't force you for a smile or a single laugh. Your trembling body falls down to the ground, slowly dissolving into a mist, which later ascended with no point. No point of life, no single hope, as the last sparkle of your remnant disappears. Was that worth it? After all, maybe everything is just an infinite paradox of happiness and grief, life and death. The agony. Here! Took me long. So basically, after some time (100+ years) the Deathlands spirit will fade away and disappear forever. |
