Immortal Pair bonds

allowed, then I also think a longer cooldown would be needed, but what if there was a rare chance to get a super rare gene or trait that only immortal wolves can pass on? Like eyes, or nose, or even a marking Sounds so cool.. |

I see that there are pros and cons to making immortal wolves breedable, and I'm all for seeing things go either way. If they can't, then, hey, they can't. That's okay. It can still lead to fun lore, and maybe we can get unique things for immortal pair bonds. Like an option to have them in the same 'image.' Or something like that. However, IF they do get to breed then I do think there should be some strict rules, as others have said. I would love to see what others have suggested here.
Pups have a higher chance of being sterile An immortal wolf CAN NOT BE A STUD Once they reach adulthood, Immortal wolf offspring (If immortal) cannot breed with any other wolf except when in an immortal pair bond. If the offspring is mortal, they can breed normally with no chance of producing an immortal wolf(?????) Thank you all again for the support! ^_^ It means so much to me! Thank you!!! |

I have 4 (soon to be 6) that are lore based, and I would love them to be able to be bonded with their mates. |

~~~~~ ELABORATION Firstly, immortal pairbonds SHOULD be allowed, but for lore purposes ONLY. If the pairbond were able to adopt, you would have an eternal adoption source. The player would have unlimited pups (excluding daily adopt limit). Also, if the bond is broken, the wolves could not be "upset" as immortal wolves cannot lose hunger or mood. Being able to breed immortal pairbonds is something I DO NOT support in any way. If the player bonded the right immortal wolves, for example, a G1 mela carrier fox piebald and a G2 mela wulfenite, that would make an infinite source of T3's, melas, piebalds, and even carrier-pied-T3's. But wait, there's more. Being able to breed these pairbonds might create a huge explosion in rare wolf numbers, decreasing their value. (I could ramble on about the market collapsing for hours, so lets just stop here). |
