Games like Wolvden/Lioden?

The only game I can think of where you can just play endlessly like you want is Howrse, but only if you have tons of aging points to use on your horse. It takes a lot of playing slowly to gather up the amount of aging points you would need to play faster. Or a ton of money to buy aging points all the time.

Howrse is pay to win trash at this point, it's not even worth looking its way. It used to be great but they're updating it only to squeeze money out of players.

2007-2008 era Howrse was fantastic and easily one of my favorite sim-type browser games. It was still fairly pay to win and the price of passes was outrageous even then, but you could earn a ton for free. Even without spending money I had a ton of Black Market items and passes and I even managed to get a few of my horses on their breed leaderboards (near the bottom of the board, not the top, but still!). I lost my first account after 3 or 4 years because I didn't log in for a few months and they deleted it, tried restarting after another year or two and it had changed so much in that time, and earning free passes became a lot harder. A real shame, it was so great early on.

I really enjoy Rival Stars on PC, actually.  It doesn't have all the features of the mobile version, but is made SO much better for the lack of premium currency and much shorter wait times, you can progress quite quickly and more easily get pretty horses. If you ever want to give it a go, I recommend grabbing it when there's a Steam Sale.

Other than that, I don't know if what you're looking for really exists, especially in browser game form. Most 'live' games tend to be gated in some way, usually behind progressing day by day like on WD.

^^ I'm going to take your advice on rival stars horse racing, I've played the app a lot and I've been interested in the PC version and never really knew where to get an opinion I guess?
I never did get into howrse early enough, only got a family laptop in 2015 or so and by then, it was obviously a little too late to catch up when I was unable to pay, and still am pretty limited. It seems like a really fun game but to me is like you said, pretty heavy on the payment promotion.

Hmm, maybe try Wobbledogs?  It's on steam.  Its an, uh, interesting title.  Then there's Koi farm, which is a very simple breeding game.  And then there's the stuff like Ecosystem which is a bit of a stretch.

I'm making a pretty heavily genetics-y game (browser based, dragon-themed) it has a discord server that's basically a hole to sit in before a testing phase starts, if you want you can join that :> I'm not advertising it publically rn so don't expect much, this offer is a chaotic whim
