     Shadow - forest - exploring

Shadow walks further into the forest, going back to exploring as she walks further from the other wolves.

SNOW HAWK | MEADOW | ON-EDGE |CYRA & ???

Snow Hawk let out a tiny sigh of relief when the alpha left. He looked over to where the loner had been, but their outline was nowhere to be seen. They must've taken the distraction to their advantage.

Good. I helped. He thought with an internal smile.

His ears perked when he heard Cyra speaking. When she finished, he didn't hesitate to tell her his own thoughts. "We shouldn't interact with the other packs as much as possible." He said in a quiet yet stern voice. They were quite equal in the hierarchy, but he didn't want to provoke any unwanted distaste from the she-wolf.

"I'm sure every wolf is aware that we are going through a famine, but no one knows how long it will be until things return to normal. That being said, we shouldn't go snooping around their territory to see if they have more prey or better water supplies."

If anything, a scout like myself should be more concerned than a huntress like you. He added in his head but decided not to voice that opinion out loud.

"You should probably go back to hunting..."

Turning away from the female, he began trotting in another direction, his head lowered, searching for anything his pack could use. A bit later on, he caught the scent of a female, most likely from Starspirit, and his fur prickled, but he continued on, hoping she hadn't or wouldn't catch sight of him.

Evening Star - Forest Edge - Returning

Evening Star narrowed her eyes. Two light-colored wolves were in the meadow. She hesitated, then turned away. She wasn't up to meeting anyone new today. Too much risk.

Shadow walked on as she kept a better track on her surroundings. she didn't want any of the wolves around the area to sneak up on her.

Cyra - Meadow - Hunting

Autumn Wind | Forest | Hunting | Alone

Autumn sighed. Another day of hunting tirelessly, likely to no success. She had been wandering through the woods for quite a while, now coming to the edges of the meadowswift territory. The little prey that was there was either too still or small for Autumn to sense through the trees. Once there were days where she would find a whole elk herd for a hunting party, but now the pack was spread too thin for that. All this death made Autumn feel useless- surely she could prevent their needless demise? Maybe if the other packs weren't so greedy the meadowswifts would have been in a better state now. The heat easily tired Autumn, and she began to head over to the one steady water source- a waterfall to strong she could hear it faintly from here. Hopefully she would find some form of food soon. Her pack depended upon it.

Silver yawned as she wondered around a lonely part of the forest, happy to be alone

Evening Star - Forest - Exploring/Wandering - Alone

Evening trotted through the woods, occasionally taking detours to track down scents. Almost all of them were rotten carcasses.

As she was about to return to Starspirit after another failure, she paused. She scented the air. The smell of a deer was on it. She crept towards the scent, tracking it. It led her to a lone buck, horns a pearly white.

Evening circled the prey, studying it carefully. It wasn't weak, but it wasn't strong either. She leapt, extracting her nails and hanging on tightly. The buck reared and shook, trying to fling her off, but she held tight.

When the buck was exhausted, she felled it silently. She then marveled at the mountains of food.

She dragged it to Starspirit camp, pride flowing through her. The pack would eat for days.

Shadow sniffed around, a scent of mouse nearby. she followed the scent quietly, finding a small, weak mouse. she killed it quickly. she then quickly buried it.
