Ashleaf has fallen as well.

What remained of Ashleaf's dead corpse was found on the outskirts of your territory today. The area smells strongly of coyotes.

The games have ended with no survivors.

LATE FLAVOR TEXT 1:

District 12's tribute, Survivor, had recently been attacked by ants after trying to eat them. The pup laid on the ground, barely able to keep her eyes open. Pain that once seared through her body was now numb. Memories flashed through her head. She had hardly been able to survive up until now, and she was just starting to think that maybe she could win this. But now, as fear had finally left her body since the first time the Games had begun, she was starting to think that perhaps her defeat was inevitable. The pup succumbed to infection, and a boulder fell not long after. 

Starlight, from district 7, on the other hand, did not get such a peaceful death. The pup, like many others had done before her, had moved too far outside the arena's borders. Humans quickly found her, and she froze in fear. A group of young boys spotted Starlight from a distance. She took off running, and the boys, laughing, chased after her. "Come back, come back!" they shouted in their foreign language that was gibberish to Starlight. A mixture of sweat and tears flew off Starlight's face as her weak body tried to run for its life. One boy stopped, planted his feet in the ground and took aim. With a loud POW, a bullet shot through the back of Starlight's skull and exploded through the front. 

The boys attempted to take her body as a trophy, but the Game Master quickly sent their scouts down to scare off the humans. Starlight's body was recovered and sent him. 

Tymora was wandering about the swamp, searching for a meal to eat. Her stomach growled; she'd been hiding in that cave of hers for far too long. When her small morsels of food turned into impossibly tiny crumbs, she decided to try her luck out in the open. Unfortunately, she wasn't the only one looking for food. A large, toothy alligator had been eying her for awhile now as she waded through the shallow end of the swamp. Spying a fish, she grinned and moved to catch it. That's when the alligator made its move. In one quick motion, it thrust itself out of the water, clamping its jaws around the pup entirely. With that, it disappeared beneath the surface of the water, leaving only inky blood staining the already murky water a deep crimson red. The canon went off and the Game Master's scouts had to hunt the alligator down. Its stomach had to be cut open, and the misshapen and torn up body of Tymora was sent home to district 3.

That alligator should know better than messing with tributes.

It felt as though winter had lasted a lifetime, Victoria mused. But snow had become more and more commonly replaced by rain, and the world had begun to awaken once again. In dens large and small, new life was born. If it hadn’t been for the exhaustion settling in her bones, it might have been an easy snack.

The rain poured, soaking through her thinning coat and dulling the scents of the arena. Not even a pack’s best stalker could scavenge like this, but it was do or die. Her hunger was consuming her. Perhaps it was the hunger, perhaps it was the rain and cold, or perhaps it was the shadow of death cast on her. The scent of another wolf caught her attention, and her muddled mind began assembling the pieces. There were only two of them left. There could only be one winner. It could end here if she attacked them. With stumbling paws, she charged towards the scent.

Ashleaf had been drinking water from a stream when he heard the sound of claws on the rocks. It wasn’t enough notice to run, and District 10’s tribute launched herself from the sparse grass, a too-familiar glint in her eye. Teeth sank into the scruff of his neck, and he felt something warm run down his shoulder. In two parts panic, one part rage, he pulled back, staggering. In the moment he pulled away, Victoria swayed on her paws. An opening no wolf could refuse. He locked his teeth around her throat, shaking as much as his weakening body could until she went slack.

He’d won. He’d won! He could finally relax. Relief flooded his body, and with shaking legs,  he laid down next to Victoria’s body. The Arena Scouts would find him here, and take him home. He could almost imagine the warm dens, the filling meals, the yaps of playmates, no tributes in sight. Nobody had told him how tiring killing could be though. Had it been so difficult with Peanut Butter? The scouts would find him here and take him to safety. He didn’t have to worry. He could rest.

The Game Master sent their scouts out, harboring a hope that today would be the end of the games. Two pups remained, and a boulder was prepared for the final death. A duck bone fidgeted between their forepaws. What was taking so long? The goal was for them to bring the bodies back. The answer was not what they had been hoping for. Both remaining tributes were dead. One had their neck snapped, the other had lost too much blood for how frail they already were. They realized with dismay that this meant much more work for them. There would need to be a second boulder pushed up here.

The spectators in the Capitol and in the districts, howled and mourned the almost-victory of Ashleaf. After a long time, the Game Master had finally declared a tie. District 10, Victoria’s home, was satisfied with having gotten honor and recognition from the Capitol for their sacrifice. However, District 5 felt enraged and cheated over the prospect of the game.

Ashleaf almost completed the games with three deaths on their paws, and the tribute will forever be remembered as the underdog who was forced to become a bloody serial killer. 

NOTE: The following 'summary' is literally a combo/archive of all the event posts that occurred during the Game, it wasn't really meant to be neat and structured because lol I don't have time.

there has been debate over handing PG off to someone who would better run it, but I’m actually thinking of coming back to run it. Right now, we are in a phase of figuring out how to run the games better and more smoothly!
