Cedarwood Forest- Wolf Pack RP

"My pack doesn't work like that. We love the land our ancestors left us. We have no human troubles and plenty of food. I would never uproot them for my own selfish needs," Rue huffed softly, a bit defensive. His question stumps her a bit though and she looks thoughtful. "Other wolves, I suppose. Other ways of life. I've only ever known one." 

Celeste watched the two from a nearby tree branch. Her perch was sturdy, and the two wolves didn't notice her. She was tempted to meet them, yet she hesitated before she leapt gracefully off the tree and appeared before the wolves.

“My pack never travelled either. We were a family pack, my parents were the alphas and our only members were my siblings and grandpa. With a generational pack like that, it’s pretty unheard of to leave your territory. Were you a family pack? I’ve seen many packs this last year and some of them were not family at all, completely made up of strangers.”

Akela looked around. He started to feel like there were yes on him... he raised his nose and smelled a bit, but the wind was behind him. After a few moments, he saw a wolf appear. Akela was hesitant at first. The strangers he’s run into were mostly harmless, wanting to get as far away from here as possible... but some are tired and stressed, which led to some tension. 

“Hello,” Akela finally greeted. 

"My pack is a family pack, yes. We have the odd loner join the family from time to time, usually as a mate to my brothers or sisters, but for the most part, we are entirely related," Rue rplied. She noticed that he seemed a bit distracted and followed his gaze to spy the arrival of the new wolf. "Friend of yours?" she muttered to Akela.

Celeste smiled a bit. "Hi," She said softly. She slid her gaze from the he-wolf to the she-wolf. "I'm Celeste. Are you wolves travelling to find the Paradise?"

“No, I don’t know her,” Akela told Rue. 

“Hello Celeste, I’m Akela. I was just about to leave for there,” Akela explained. “Where do you come from?” Akela asked. It wasn’t often he met lone wolves, especially alone during this time of year. Everyone tries to pack up before winter. 

Rue's ears twitched at Akela's intial response. Two new wolves in one morning? Was this common in travels? Whether it is or not, she's delighted to meet a new wolf. 

"Greetings, Celsete. I am Rue," she began with a little bow. "What do you mean about paradise?" 

Celeste got a dreamy look in her eyes. "Ever since farmers began killing wolves and advancing on the Cedarwood Forest, there's been legends about a wonderful, untouched land filled with prey, possible territories, and so much more. Many wolves have tried to make the journey. Whether they made it or not, I don't know." She sharply turned her head north. 
"I'm from the northern lands. Farmers killed my family; so I'm trying to make it to Paradise and find a new life for myself."

“Yeah, that’s most wolves stories these days... I’m sorry to hear it. I’m headed that way myself if you’d like to travel together?” Akela asked. 

“This part of the forest seems to be a common area for passing through. On one side, the humans are settling. On the other, a large and violent wolf pack has set up home. This part of Cedarwood is like a bridge out of the forest,” Akela explained to Rue. “I suspect it has been the large pack that has been hunting the farmers’ cattle, and that’s why the farmers hunt is.”

Celeste nodded quietly. "True. Some fellow travelling wolves have warned me about them. It would be safer to travel together."
