Full support! I really want to be able to change my Herbalist's pronouns to they/them.

support!  i especially personally like ghostie’s suggestion of there being a gender neutral toggle for your pack. the game already uses pronouns like ‘they’ and ‘it’ to refer to wolves in certain flavor texts/functions and though im clueless about coding i imagine it would be pretty easy to implement. it wouldn’t affect anyone who doesn’t want to use pronoun features but it would be a little thing that would mean a whole lot to a ton of the players!

Bumping this again to say I support even if they can only make it between binary options! But I would love to see a wide range of pronouns able to be used!

I support this so hard!!!! I have many trans / nonbinary / xenogender wolves since I am all of those myself!

I sadly constantly say the wrong pronouns for them because of how the game genders the wolves in text. :(

Strongly disagree/don't support. Pronouns would be a completely unnecessary factor to add to a wolf because people are looking at the sexes/pronouns to know who to breed with. OP, with all due respect your lead wolf is a perfect example of this being confusing for a player. You refer to the wolf as "him" but then go on to say it's a female. If, in reference to your lead wolf's appearance, you suggest it's a male you're confusing the player by making them think this wolf is breed-able with their females.

I think it would be best to just put in parentheses (she/him/they) either in the name or footnote as it will get your point across and not confuse players. Another reason I suggest this is, again, OP's own wolf. "Mike" is associated with a male, and at first glance this would suggest to other players their females can breed with her. Not to be rude, but that's super confusing. I of course respect your right to name her whatever you want, but in a game where it's all about breeding this is very off-putting. Not everyone will think to double-check the gender based on the name, and rightfully so. As you said, sex is key to a breeding game like this.

Don't mean to be rude here, I just wanted to point out why this would be (and already is in some cases) confusing for players looking to breed.

Pronouns don't equal gender. Next

I mean, it wouldn't be all that confusing, because a stud is still going to be advertised as a stud, regardless of the pronouns. I haven't seen anyone confused at all about my current stud having she/her pronouns, and I myself haven't found any confusion with other folks using other pronouns with their studs.
Also it's not unnecessary at all, considering the amount of lore based players on the site. And it'd be an optional add-on, it's not like you'd have to use it at all.
On top of that, you'd still keep the arrow and cross symbols to denote their born gender, so when you're pair bonding, you'll know whether or not they'll be able to breed.

I didn't claim they did, Nervosa. I said it can be confusing. This isn't an argument, it's a respectful contribution to the discussion. It's just a fact that pronouns on a breeding site should remain male/female for simplicity.
