FULL Marking Rarity Chart

Posted 2021-03-11 00:31:17

Here is an example, wolvden.com

This wolf I used at least 50 RMA on. He actually originally had 2 Inuit unders and 4 or 5 tamasakan unders but I had to delete them because there were just too many.

And his Merle? Came from his parents, not the RMAs.

Is there an updated version of this with the new markings?

@𝓐𝓼𝓱. 🕊️ I'm not the op of this thread, but I've made a Marking Rarity Spreadsheet you can copy and use for the same basic purpose, minus the visual references of this particular guide. But you can also consult the master database tab for a quick glance of all markings and their corresponding rarities.

(Sorry for the self-promotion, if it's out of place I'll remove it)

@Nei

that spreadsheet is brilliant and really easy to use! but can I ask why the basic inuit unders are down as "tier 7" but the combo marking ones are "Tier 6"? Unless Tier 6 is classes as rarer than Tier 7? Same with the Tamaskan Unders / Raffle markings (Panda, wings etc)

I also said this in response to the original post but Merle is actually more rare than tamaskan unders and Inuit Unders. Ive used HUNDREDS of RMA's and at least 20 Total Shuffles and I've only had merle once.

They fart Inuit unders and tamaskan unders like they're candy hahaha I had 1 stud I used a total shuffle on and he ended up with about 6 inuit and tamaskans, he can be found here I kept 3 of them, but the merle was bred from his father because it's IMPOSSIBLE to get through RMA's and Total Shuffles.

So I really think that Inuit and Tamaskan should be the "Tier 2" through the RMA category and Merle should be "Tier 4" rarity.

I used an old version of this document for reference when I was compiling the tool. They considered some Tiers speculatory while others were confirmed by WD updates. According to one of the Grouse House guides, Tiers don't define how rare a marking is, they just categorize where you get them from.

I've just now noticed they decided to re-categorize Raffle Markings separately as Tier 5 - though if you look it up in the Wiki it still remains as an empty category- and renamed the Tier 2 as simply "Rare Markings" so I think I'll follow that practice for the sake of homogeneity of the information we currently have.
