Rejected Suggestions Stuck Post

Rejected Suggestions Stuck Post

I don't think I've seen a thread about this before, but I apologize if it's redundant.

So, on Lioden under Game Development there's a stuck Rejected Suggestions thread as well as a Suggestions Masterpost [Mutations] which lists ideas that are going to, eventually, be implemented. I know we have the Compilation Masterpost here, but it's not quite the same because it lists all suggestions indiscriminately.

I'm predominantly suggesting this because a lot of the suggestions I'm seeing are related to features present on Lioden, the "Game Development Guidelines" states "If Wolvden is missing features from Lioden, they are either deliberately not added, or they are planned for future release," but I'm still seeing a lot of suggestions that harken back to Lioden features.

Personally, I think a lot of those suggestions are a good idea - but regardless, it would be nice to know for sure which mechanisms are planned to be implemented and those which are being deliberately rejected. Of course I don't mean big spoilers, like "Is there going to be a Wolvden equivalent of Primal?" just the little things.

Like, these posts [1|2] seem reminiscent of The Giving Tree and Gorilla Enclave features. If we know whether similar features have been deliberately omitted, or are planned to be introduced at some point in the future, we don't have to ask for them. Adol and Pup Training is obviously a crossover from Lioden, and there's plenty of other (good imo) suggestions along these lines, so I'm not going to bother listing them all.

TL;DR stuck post listing whether or not minor, non-spoiler features will or won't be implemented, or if it's undecided as of yet, so that we don't have to make as many threads about them. I mean, I know there's a few convenience features I'm curious about [ex. bookmarking] but I feel like they're not worth making posts about.

I'd appreciate that really, especially since I haven't played Lioden it would make knowing what to post/not post easier

I know this is bad, but I forgot that not everyone here is a crossover player - so that's a really good point. A thread like this would be very useful to newcomers who aren't trying to "turn Wolvden into a clone of Lioden" and genuinely aren't familiar with these potential crossover features.

I decided to delete my comment. Ignore me, doo-duh-do.

Support; I have played Lioden but so long ago that I've forgotten many features and likely have imperfect recollections of others. When I read that line in the suggestions board rules, I thought it was placing an unfair expectation on players like me, and those who've never played Lioden; how can we know what's a Lioden feature? Granted it's not a huge deal to have a suggestion deleted, but I could understand people feeling a little ornery if they put a lot of work into a well-thought-out, well-explained suggestions post that they couldn't have known would be auto-deleted.

I don't even think a distinction needs to be made between features the staff plan on bringing to WD and ones they've chosen not to port. Actually, all that really needs to be done is an expansion to the existing "not taking suggestions on these topics" list. Currently that list includes events, free GC, bases, etc. - why not just have add in this a list of LD features not currently in WD?

They mentioned in a news post that what is to come to WD. But it would be a good thing to add on the development forums too, as repeating here which features are confirmed aren't really spoilers.

@489 I didn't join until the game was open for free, so I'll admit... it hadn't even occurred to me to check back for EA news posts! I definitely don't think a refresher would be bad,,, I'm glad to hear bookmarking is on the way, though! Haha.

Support! I would not want to suggest something if it is going to be automatically rejected, I want to know what is not allowed in advance. The mutations masterpost is also a good idea because it would discourage the same mutation being suggested multiple times by different users and updates on upcoming mutations would be wonderful. :)
