Yay News.

And thank yall so much for the idea with the dateable decor.

Also I would like to sincerely apologize. When the news that we wouldn't get jellyfish came out I was upset. And although I didn't say anything insulting, I was still part of the backlash yall got. For that I am sorry.

Maybe designing NPC decors to replace actual wolves was not a good idea to begin with.

I think the solution presented for the jelly issue is really clumsy. I think like 3 account-bound 1 use translucent jellies would've been a fine compromise if the threat of people not buying them from the oasis really was that big of a deal. I think making it so that the decor hides the wolf art automatically restricts creativity.
Also, I personally like the decors designed to replace the wolf, as I probably wouldn't use a decor if it was meant to pair with your lead- it isn't my style, for the most part. Adding paired decor as well could be fun though for those who would want it! If anything I'd love to see it.

How does auttomatically making the actual wolf disappear restrict creativity, if anything it makes it easier cause you dont have to pay 4 gc each time you want to use one of the dateables

Because some people choose to not use a jellyfish and include the decor along with the wolf, and removing the choice to do that restricts some fun you can have when decorating, even if it's not the original intent. I like that you get the freedom of choice. Like pairing a motherly pose wolf and Sirmiq- that's cute!
Don't worry, I'm definitely not a fan of having to pay 4gc just to use the rewards you earned through playing the event. I think a different compromise (or to go back to the way it was last year, that's totally fine in my eyes too) should be chosen, because there are clear easier solutions here that do not restrict a decorator's creativity.

Maybe they do a toggle mode?
Like when you apply the decor you can toggle whether or not your wolf disappears.

Yeah the few NPC decors from the event last year that I actually used were WITH the wolf I equipped them with, not REPLACING the wolf :/

I love the way some of the wolf-decors we just earned look with my wolves.
For example, Dera looks real good with a wolf in default pose :
(you only need to hide the back paws a little to make it perfect)

EXAMPLE

I only use the wolf decors if I can add them to mine, and this "update" makes them practically useless for me :(
I actually chose which wolves to court based on how the decor worked with my existing ones so this is really bad news!!
