Community Update #130

Thanks for addressing AI art being sold in forums.

Could the NPC decors be modified slightly by artists so that they are simply standing / laying next to our wolves rather than displacing the whole wolf? It would be a bit of a lift, but nowhere near as bad as starting from scratch. And way more users myself included would get use out of them without the need for jellyfish.

I hope in the future there will be other prizes to claim from maxing affection, like each npc has its own randomised prize pool to claim from. If you had the chance to get decor, trophies, bundles etc, there would be incentive to date the same wolves next year.

I did not consider the fact that some people might prefer having the decors ALONGSIDE their wolf since most of them are in the way, but after playing around with them, I found that Swansea in particular looks great with my lead ━ so I'm going to retract my original support for having the decors automatically hide the wolf. I think a toggle option built into the equipper would be great, because it still eliminates the need for the extra paid item [which I still think is absurd LMAO], but it still allows people to do whatever they want.

Alternatively I'm very supportive of the idea of possibly just making the decors like every other basic decor and setting them behind the wolf or off to the side depending on the pose/age stage.

Hold on, foehn, first there needs to be a way of rewarding players minimizing the affection. I decided to max one and min the rest - players choosing the playstyle I do with everyday activity are rewarded with approximately 8.5k LB. Meanwhile, those maxing everywolf are rewarded 14k LB. Not enough?

More thinking about the event from a casual/lore perspective. I rolled over a few times this month and only unlocked Halcyon's decor. Although it is cool, I just don't think I would want to claim another 20 use Halcyon decor again. We like the characters and they deserve to be more than just LB grinds, I guess. Like if Halcyon had a prize pool that included a tundra/glacier background recipe, a favourite meal that gives buffs, thick fur tuft or Willa had a pool that included puppy decor - that would be fun and increases playability for next year.

If I was to suggest, I'd like an option to battle NPC with low affection on daily basis. No need to balance out LB gain, just make something unique like potential stat gain.
